Managed to get a price match from my local JB. Showed them my TelstraID profile on my mobile.
Anyone managed to get a price match from JB online?
Optus price matched it, there was a fair bit of stuffing around as i want it on a 12m plan and the store couldn't see the option however showing them their own website say it clear as day.

Voda was cheaper still but after using them for a couple of years can safely say wouldn't use them again too many times the data coverage just wasn't there and i use android auto with voice assistance so it gets old really quickly.
So my Officeworks would not price match because the Telstra store website did not list the specific model number, so because of that they could not verify they were identicle products. Claiming that Telstra prepaid phones are all locked to Telstra, whilst their phone is an unlocked version.
I contested that it wouldn't matter as I have a Telstra Sim card, on-top of that you can unlock all phones by a simple phone call
They did offer me a discount, selling me the phone at a flat $1000. I need to get a phone today so I just accepted that. But I will be submitting a complaint to Officeworks and see where that gets me.
JB online offered best price of $850, which i think is pretty good. I will goto stores tomorrow and try match that as I cant seem to get the $799 deal matched anywhere.
Does anyone know if the Telstra deal (buying the phone outright) means the phone would be locked to a Telstra Sim/network? Or could I use it with Optus?
