I couldn't understand it myself, where are all these endless buyers of expensive consoles coming from? I might be wrong but I think they said PS5 currently cannot play most new games at 120hz or something similar. (someone please correct me if I got the info wrong)

@harshbdmmaster718: Maybe it's more an issue of the power to $ ratio hasn't quite been hit to justify it on Sony's end.
Plus given they've only finally been able to produce stable supply of the PS5 I doubt they've got manufacturing space for another line yet

That's a good point buckster, I mean they must still be selling well in some parts of the world.
I was under the impression that the PS5 was getting a bit old, so more recently released games were pushing the limits of what the specs could do. Maybe I was wrong and reading that "can't play new games at 4K 120hz" comment out of context.
@harshbdmmaster718: I think the 4k at 120fps (which is probably what they meant) is simply a limitation - it would cost close to $5000 to put together a PC capable of that so there's no way a $700 console should be expected to output that.
Will be a while for a console to come out that suits your ideal resolution etc - at the moment optimisation is probably a bit poor catering still to old gen, but I guess it would be nice to at least have more games running at at least 4K/60fps which a number don't currently do. The 4k/30fps we currently get was technically achievable with the PS4 Pro

Hmm I think then maybe this is the spec that was mentioned together with the recommendation to wait for PS5 Pro.
I think there is a noticeable difference between 30hz and 60hz when watching youtube videos. Whether I would notice the jump from 60hz to 120hz I am not so sure.
I'm a bit superficial but Im hoping the midgen upgrade is less ugly so I can tolerate seeing it in my living room. The current PS5 triggers my OCD (the offset cd drive…)

PSVR2 is coming next month, they'll ride that wave for the next 6 months or so with bundles to exhaust PS5 stock before announcing any Pro/Slim refresh. Maybe holiday 2023, but that's still a long wait.
