VB X Weber Kettle Premium Charcoal BBQ 57cm $359.10 + Postage @ Victoria Bitter

770
WELCOMETOVB

What an Aussie Collab for Australia Day - VB X WEBER KETTLE PREMIUM CHARCOAL BARBECUE 57 CM. This is a limited edition Weber Kettle BBQ.

As we all know webers rarely go on sale. This Kettle is $399 from $479, plus use code WELCOMETOVB for an additional 10% off bringing it down to $359. Even cheaper than the recent recent Bunnings deal, and definitely has a bit more character and appropriate warranties (not that you will need them).

Happy BBQing

    Sweet find OP.

Thanks mate, was by pure luck but stoked with the price!

    • this would have gone down a treat in alice prongs when anthony flew in “ prime minister hope you are enjoying the bbq lunch we prepared, now about alcohol restrictions , the alice springs hoteliers association and their political. contributions” as they take photos next to the VB weber while anthony holds a sausage with a pair of tongs ….

    Don't like VB, but I do like a bargain…

    • some people try and sell things at crazy prices on ebay and gumtree ….doesn’t mean people buy and pay those crazy prices … but hey invest your money as you like …… not sure why people keep low balling the granges i advertised ….

  • +1

    To buy this

You must be of legal drinking age

    apparently

    • only in the USA, guns at 14, drinking at 21.

  • +2

You can get it jumpin' You can get it pumpin' You can get it pressin' a suit.

    • +9

You can get it grilling a cow.

As a matter of fact, I’ve got it now.

  • Check over the enamel and logos if you buy one…

  • I have two (not the VB obviously). Buying this to chop off the legs and make a shorty. Smokey Joe just isn't big enough.

  • +3

If only I could get this kettle without the logo on it.

  • I do appreciate VB but I'm not sure this BBQ is worth the money…

    • +2

It's usually $499. Doesn't go on sale that regulary. If you don't mind the green/branding it's not a bad price.

  • Wait since when is a Weber kettle bbq $359, let alone over $400? Lucky I got mine years ago, that's crazy.

    • It's been $400+ since at least 2020. This is the premium rather than the cheaper kettle original.

I got my Jamie Oliver 48cm version for 69 bucks delivered and its made from stainless steel with an enamel lid. Been outside in the weather for years and wipe it down and looks brand new. I don't think I could stump up for a weber at these prices. I do miss having that ash shaker thing at the bottom, but I am not that fussed

        • +1

          Jamie Oliver 48cm version

Pretty sure you can't buy those anymore

          • @spaceflight: They don't, but you can get a kamado for an extra hundred off the retails of one of these, seems like better value

            • @Jackson: Webers customer service is legendary for a reason, though.

    • -1

yeah, even the original one was nowhere near $400, ridiculous price for a bbq, wouldn't pay more than one hundred bucks.

    • I agree

  • +2

It appears that I made a typo and ended up on OzBogan

  • Is there much difference between this and the $200 kettle at BBQ Galore?
    https://www.barbequesgalore.com.au/p/pro-smoke-kettle/PSMKKE…

    • +5

      About 159 dollars?

  • What's the difference between the VB Unit and the one sold from Costco? Is the different tray at the bottom of the bowl worth the wait for April?

    Link from: https://www.costco.com.au/BBQs-Outdoor-Living/Barbecues-Smok…

    • Is the different tray at the bottom of the bowl

      Yes

  • Is this the cheapest for this type of bbq?

    • no

      • this brand and style I meant

    • Hell no. It's probably the most expensive kettle charcoal bbq you can buy.

      • yeah, unless matador do a versace or gucci collaboration edition , weber is expensive in kettles, people pay it for warranty ….wooden handle perished on my old one ……sent new ones in the mail…..worth the extra money $150 as you have them for many years and are well made with thick steel and thick enamel. great deal if you like the green enamel and logo ……
i prefer plain black as you not need to clean off smaller or fat residue to make it look clean.

  • Postage is $25, brings it up to 384.10

  • +1

These are usually cheaper by about $384.10 on the side of the road during verge collection. Paying for the fancy paint. That brisket wont taste any better.

    • +1

it’s getting harder to find webers during hard waste collection ….. found one a few years ago missing the charcoal baskets, but i think most people gumtree if they are moving and put out on last day as free if it didn’t sell.
the stuff some people put out in expensive suburbs when when moving to smaller accomodation is amazing ….doesn’t meet ozbargain though as less than 10 so i don’t list.

        I second this.
Currently kicking a 1TB xbox one S (man date 2020) found on street infront of a nice house in brighton le sands, a RRP $399 electrolux cordless vac infront of a house in carinbah, a RRP $299 Ryobi Mitre compound saw infront of a house in cronulla

I work all around the sutherland shire and its amazing what i see dumped outside people houses. There was a working electronic kb today but didnt have any space in the car

        • youre welcome ;)

    • +1

Reminds me of how I found mine a few years back. I was out for a run and it was dark but I spotted that classic tell-tale shape from a distance. Once I confirmed my suspicion I ran so fast from there to home to grab the car and collect it. Condition was fantastic bar a couple of small rust spots and it's been brilliant ever since :)
      A truly classic love story!

I am a noob to bbqing, but I've been meaning to get into it. Are these BBQs able to disassemble to be transported or stored away easily?

    • +1

This one is less disassembly friendly. The stands are screwed/bolted in to the kettle at the bottom so if you wanted to disassemble you will have to unscrew at three spots. Honestly it will be neater/save more space leaving as is.

    • +1

I put one of these together at Christmas and the metal where the legs attach needs to be kind of forced into place. I don't think I'd want to try take it apart because I think it would bend the metal each time.

What a find. Was going to get a base model from Bunnings but this is unique.
