I add this to all my ramen dishes

    • Is it similar to sriracha? I add that to everything.

Nevermind, looks like this is chili oil, not sauce.

chilli oil is on another level, sauce is so basic

I think you have it the other way around, chili oil is basic, but like cornflakes, the simple things in life are often the best.

Sriracha is a sour vinegar-based sauce with garlic, sugar and salt.

This is vegetable oil (sesame) infused with chili. It's more suitable for dishes that need extra heat but not other flavouring.

Reviews say the sesame oil flavour is really prevalent

@TEER3X: Good for japanese dishes like gyoza and ramen. If you want a more chinese style chili oil / sauce then both I and John Cena recommend Lao Gan Ma, which is great on rice dishes. It comes in a few varieties.

            • @scrimshaw: Zǎo shang hǎo zhōng guó!
Xiàn zài wǒ yǒu bing chilling
Wǒ hěn xǐ huān bing chilling
Dàn shì "sù dù yǔ jī qíng jiǔ" bǐ bing chilling

            • @scrimshaw: 2nd that. Lao Gan Ma are great for gyoza.

        • Sriracha is a sour vinegar-based sauce with garlic, sugar and salt.

          Isn’t that Tobasco?

  • same price at coles atm.

  • Is this the kind of chilli oil that one can put on a pulled noodle dish? Can anyone vouch for the flavour etc. I could also probably make my own chilli oil butttt I am lazy :/

  • If anyone can recommend a good pizza chili oil 🙏

    aw OOS

  • Does anyone find this flavourless? It's the same stuff at Japanese restaurants, adding it to ramen seems to do nothing for me.

    • Not ghost chilli oil hot but did add some chilli flavor for me.
