Intel NUC M15 15.6" FHD, i5-1240P, 16GB/512GB + Bag, Mouse, HP BT Speaker, Cables $999 Delivered + Surcharge @ Shopping Express

201

I bought one a few weeks ago. Couldn't get the Bing Lee deal on the i7-1260p with 1TB and touch screen. The i7 is now around $1200 from various ebay sellers. Maybe the extra ~$200 is worth it for the i7, touch and extra storage, if you don't need/want the bag, mouse, speaker and cables.

Decent price even without the landfill Combo Pack

      Ahhaha landfill combo pack

      • Marketplace combo pack is better than landfill combo pack!
But agree this is a good combo pack.

        • Do people but these?

          • @ihfree: No, they might buy them though.

            • @magic8ballgag: Lol, too fast for a correction. Looks like e-waste to me. I've difficulty giving away similar items in the past.

  • isn't the i7 super thermally throttled for this model?

    • +1

yes, throttled very fast when run cinebench, It seems to me the fan is adjusted to keep noise down and sacrifice the performance. There is no option in NUC studio to adjust the fan mode.

  • I got the i7 version, very solid laptop, like the no brand and simple look. the i5 version is better choice, i7 vesion does not worth the extra.

only complain is the keyboard, the space between keys is a little too big, took me a long time to get used to as I use a smaller 14 inch for years.

    • Yes, I noticed the same issue with the keyboard. It also seems to be off-centre to me, or something like that - I often hit the incorrect key. I almost always use a separate full-size KB, but I don't have quite the same shock when I use the laptop KB on my 14", so I think this one is just a bit strange.

  • Anyone had any experience with the Warranty process for these? is it 1 year Mail-in only? Are there any spare parts available?

  • I'd strongly recommend this laptop at $1500. At this price, it's a proper bargain.

    • At $1k it's good, certainly not $1500. Shopping Express advertised this deal as being valid for 7 days. They pulled it which is a misrepresentation and an ACL breach.

Don't trust this shop or even low prices because they only sell faulty devices. very dodgy.
