Looking at the link, it's a corporate portal to JB HiFi. Perhaps you have a company discount.

I don't think that members of the public have access to that deal. It's $339 through the usual site:
    https://www.jbhifi.com.au/products/ps5-playstation-5-dualsen…

    • It's similar to Good Guys commercial. Whilst it's not public access, access is offered through different programs.

I can access this deal using the Westpac app.

My mistake it's showing up as $298.85 instead this price.

Just claim on warranty, it's what I do with my PS5 controllers.

They know they have issues, they have drift stick out of the box half the time.

  • Shows $316.69 to me.

    • same, as rest took me to a buisness site, not corporate

Now I wait patiently with my eBay saved search "dualsense edge unwanted gift < $200".

  • What a price for a controller!

I mean I guess it's aimed at eSports people but I still can't really believe it

    • It's targeted towards customisation.

It doesn't perform better and no one esports with a ps5 controller

      • $300 of customisation?

Stick drift is not fixed. This does not happen with xbox or ps4 but happening in ps5 controllers.

They could have done this with a hall effect stick but no, let's do replaceable joystick and adjust deadzone to fix it instead.

I disagree, it performs a lot better - you can now jump, move, and aim at the same time.

Some people love it but its very expensive for a controller

Just got mine today, expensive yes but cheaper than some pro controllers…the price will come down for those who want to wait 6 months and for those who think it is still to much don't buy it…Simple. If you want to talk about overpriced things there are plenty out there that have less functionality than a controller like i saw sets of Pokemon cards at EB today for $160 (cardboard wrapped in shiny plastic) so yeah the overpriced argument whilst valid doesn't really hold up against the plethora of overpriced crap out there. Btw Edge controllers are already sold out at EB games. Supply and demand dictate prices and there is still a ton of cashed up people out there willing to pay extra to get "The Edge".
I just want to add that http://glkit.com/ are expected to be releasing Hall Effect stick modules for the EDGE for those that are interested. Not listed currently but some time this year i expect.

  • It is difficult to assess what is objectively a poor value product when it comes to the deal, just percentage off RRP I guess?

It's a bad product, but if you're stuck in the "I must have it" mentality, better saving some of your money, and no it won't be a total waste because it is still a Dual Sense controller, so you're only losing at (on this deal) on about $200. Which doesn't get you nothing, it's just really not much, afaict, paddles, black buttons, button remapping, some different stick caps, profiles,
