Yep, me too unfortunately. The site has been getting hammered for hours. I’ll be surprised if a) it’s not a price error, or b) they’re selling way more units than they have in stock.

      • +1

Hopefully they do not bait and switch, i.e. refund the phone only and force me to use the sim. Honestly no interest to be on the Optus network

  • +1

I don't need a new phone, nor do I want one - why am I so tempted to buy this???

    • +1

      Because it’s stupidly cheap?

      • +8

Or because of FOMO being an OzBargainer?

        • Yeah, more this 😭🤦‍♂️

          • +1

@[Deactivated]: All good. It's a good problem to have. We all band together to share the pain.

  • Can I just use my existing sim/plan with a different provider?

    • Sure can 🤘

  • +1

Didn’t need one, bought a 256gb blue. Thanks OP!

    • This isn’t the way.

    • +3

Someone has to buck the trend, stop this giant ponzi ❤️

Unfortunately not me, bought my 1st iPhone today 🙈

      • A true OzBargainer.

  • When you click continue this text pops up “An unexpected error has occurred.”

  • -4

It’s impossible that they have few hundred brand new sealed 12mini.

    • -1

You are right, Apple only produced a maximum of 25 for each store. /s

    • It’s Amaysim, not exactly everyone’s first choice of Telco.

      • +1

What's wrong with them? They're the largest MVNO.

  • +3

Bought a 64G purple for some reason even tho i have 5 other iphones sitting around :O

    • well done

    • iPhorgy FTW!

Got a refurb SE 2020 from a recent Coles deal mainly just to test out iOS after being on android for years. Loving iOS and loving having a small phone so this is the perfect upgrade.

This is not how we wanted our relationship to be, it looks like there was an issue with your recent iPhone order but rest assured there were no charges. We want you to get your hands on that shiny new iPhone soon, so please start a brand new order.

        • i got an order confirmation email, did you get cancellation after you recieved confirmation email?

        • Did you receive a confirmation email that includes an order number?

          • @HardQuiz: Not happy calling tomorrow (emailed me when closed) no confirming over three hrs time & second order was instantly confirmed.

            • @iGrouch: So you never received a confirmation for the 1st order ?

              • @HardQuiz: Nope taking screen pic order number when placed just extremely upset could’ve picked another 3+hrs!

        • it seems more like there's issue related to your payment/banking system. I ordered @7.15pm and received confirmation email within 10 mins.

          • @Ozone999: You have ordered a different in storage & colour ?

    • +2

@Muzeeb push our orders through to the next stage please

      • +1

        Apple. Lol. No.

      • Change your address first.

  • +1

    Thanks.. bought one

  • -2

Solid deal if these are new phones.

  • Bought a white 128gb, thanks

  • +6

For those that ordered, be sure to cancel the 90 day auto-renewal! I did it straight away using their Live Chat

Just ordered Blue 256gb. Was planning on buying the iPhone 15 Pro later this year, but what the hell at this price I get to enjoy the mini size while saving a lot of money.

    • Ugh, I just did the same and had the same plan. I was more looking forward to USB-C. Oh well.

      • +1

Honestly there's no guarantee the iPhone 15 Pro will have USB-C. There were many rumours/"leaks" that iPhone 14 would have it but we all know how that turned out. Look at it this way, you won't have to baby the iPhone 12 mini because it's so cheap and I dare say maybe even use it without a case and actually enjoy the design and feel of it in your hand.

  • +2

Thanks OP, been looking for a discount on 12 mini for a while. But this is a jackpot.

  • +2

Really tried to resist but my daughter will need a new one soon. She's still using a busted up iPhone 6.

  • After i press continue after choosing plan and phone mine keeps saying “An unexpected error has occurred.” Anyone have any ideas why it keeps doing that to me?

  • Ordered 1!!!

  • Thanks OP, have XR, didn't need to upgrade, but might as well at this price.

  • +1

It’s that never ending iPhone 12 Mini deal 😂

  • +1

Don't need one but nagged a blue 256GB~ Thanks OP!

  • +1

Thanks jagged a blue 256GB, brothers bday pressie sorted.

  • Has anyone received their? Definitely new and not seconds ?
I am conditioned for Apple to charge an arm and leg.

  • +1

I was holding out til they switched to USB-C but a bargains a bargain.

  • +4

How long will it take to deliver my order?

Once your order is confirmed and goods are in stock, deliveries to metropolitan areas typically arrive in 1-5 business days, and deliveries to most regional areas typically arrive in 3-5 business days. If goods are not in stock, we will notify you at the time of processing your order with an estimated delivery time.

Unless Apple is onboard with this promo, I have my doubts that amaysim can fulfil all these orders.

    • Then again, there is going to be quite a heavy shift from Android to Apple in Australia if a decent percentage of purchasers swallow the different flavour Kool-Aid and move their calendars and search interactions from Alphabet - we know have a generation moving into the market who grew up with Siri, Google and Alexa and have moved well on from keyboard driven phone, text and typing into a browser of geriatrics such as myself.

      • So you agree that Apple is running this promo but under the guise of an amaysim bundle?

  • +1

G'day - wife has old iPhone SE and this would make a great replacement - only problem is she is happy with her Boost network and wants to retain that - is there any way she can do this please? Thanks BJA

    • Yes you choose to get a new phone number and then just never activate the esim or use it, turn off auto renew in the app or on the website

      • +1

Thanks - ordering now - before I do can someone confirm these iPhones take a normal SIM and not just eSim please?

        • Yes they support physical nanoSIM

      • I just ordered a physical sim and intend to use my existing one?

    • Bugger - by the time I got my answers and filled in all the questions the one the wife wanted is now gone!!! Shit happens :(

  • I just activated my 12 month Boost SIM. Anyone know how long you have to activate the SIM?

    • +1

According to the product page, ‘immediately’.

    • You don't have to activate the sim. It is an e-sim so even if you do activate you can continue using your boost physical sim. It is a dual sim phone. The plan it self activates immediately, so if you use it or not it will end in 90 days.

  • I really have no use for this… why can't it be a GPU or something.

Should I trade in my OzBargain licence for not buying this…? :(

    • +2

      Nah has garbage battery life

  • Bought 128gb white, worry about they will cancel the order, price too unrealistic.

    • +3

The longer it goes on the more likely, I ordered at 2-3pm and hard to believe they still have stock now

      • Yeah, I have absolutely zero confidence all orders will be honoured unless Apple are on board as someone else has stated.

      • That’s right, hundreds of people bought here, how can amaysim got that amount of stocks?

  • great thanks

  • +3

I just read all comments. Still not convinced.

    I’ve got an iPhone XS
    80% battery (it’s dreadful now).

Is the 12 mini battery better?
I’m also currently on a 12month sim prepaid plan. So the plan part is redundant.

Someone else make the decision for me please

    • +2

      Buy

    • +2

get battery replacement from apple $109 before 1.March(price increase)

  • Can anyone confirm phone is unlocked?

    • +2

This question has already been answered by Richard on page 1

    • +1

I don't think network lock phones anymore

      • thank you

      • +2

Only on the really cheap androids now.

  • +4

I'm so tempted to buy even despite having no interest in joining the iOS ecosystem lol.

    What a cracking deal.

    • I have a same thought, I've been thinking about to buy iPad Air 5th Gen on Marketplace if I could find it around $600-700. But when I saw this deal, oh well here goes money.

    • It’s a great opportunity to try Apple

You can also use Google Services instead of getting into the Apple Eco System which is what I do as I have both an iPhone and a Samsung phone

      • The last time I tried Apple was with the XR and while it certainly has its good points I found myself gravitating back. Think this will be similar and I'd just end up trading it in honestly (at this price for about what I paid for it haha).

If there's still somehow stock left coming this year, I think I'll save mine for another person :)
