You can fully cancel the contract during the 90 days by mailing this mailbox according to the critical service summary for 90 day plans. No fees but you don't get refunded the difference of credit say you had 40 days left you won't get that back in credit. Sounds silly but some people probably think they can get it.

  • Damn it really need a mini phone after using xs max for like 4 years now. Heavy af. Still at work, it must have gone by the time I got home. Rip

    • +8

You have time to comment, you have time to purchase 😜

      • +1

        RIP indeed lol

  • I have my own physical SIM with Coles Mobile, what should with the eSim on this deal with the new number? Just let it go to waste?

    • pretty much, I think you can move from esim to sim

  • +5

Damn - just paid $385 a couple of weeks back to replace my iphone 12 mini screen from Ap$le which broke when I dropped a tool on it. I could have purchased a whole new phone! Battery life on mine is more than adequate for my use-case, which is phone calls, safari, email etc.

  • Grabbed a green 256gb. Thanks.

  • Just bought less than a week ago bah for their initial promo prices!! Spewing

  • +1

    How
Many iphones do they have lol

  • +2

Bob's your uncle, bought one for myself and convinced my mother to upgrade too lol. Ripper of a deal but after having gone over it in my head multiple times I still feel like I'm missing something. Probably just general paranoia

  • Buy now, think later. Thanks OP.

  • might be jumping the gun a little but any idea on when they would ship? hoping to make an upcoming birthday in the next few days

    • I'm in the same boat. But says online normally Sims get sent 2-10 business days. I'd say probs similar to plans with mobiles also.

  • +12

So much for trying to curb back discretionary spending aye RBA? With deals like these, interest rates increase of 0.25% isn't really doing much to deter it!

    • +3

well i can't afford a house, but i can afford a 2 year old iphone

    • +1

iPhone mini = 1 weeks rent

  • Something to keep in mind for people who are sensitive to PWM or screen flicker highly recommend avoiding this one. The iPhone 12s are really bad for people sensitive to it. But most people won't probably notice anything.

  • It says ID must be shown upon delivery? Who exactly is delivering this?

    • +1

I'm going to hazard a guess and say someone who works for a delivery company or courier.

      • Have never shown any kind of ID for orders 10 times the price of this iPhone.

Auspost bloke in my area not exactly the most trustworthy bloke going around. Source - reversed into a neighbours parked car and did a runner

        • Uh-oh, so in the future, if he does reverse into someone's car, he now might be able to use your ID AND do a runner. I can see the crime compounding…

        • reversed into a neighbours parked car and did a runner

Did you not post that in the forums with video & MS Paint diagrams?

Chinese Spy Balloon will drop it on your Alfresco

    • +1

      Usually startrack

  • +1

Bought even though I have a 14 pro max 🤦

  • +1

Seems like a surprisingly good deal for a cheap/spare iPhone which still feels relatively quick and supported.

  • Bon C. 02:45 PM
Yes. Your iPhone is a 1 year warranty.
There's only two versions. US version and China version but we are selling US version.

    Confirmed, it's US variant!

    • Is that different to the AU variant?

      • 1 year vs 2 year warranty in Aus

        • If its bought in Australia, why is it not a full Aus Warranty?

Can these be taken to an Apple Store in Aus if there is an issue?

    • -1

i asked on chat and they couldn't tell me what variant it was or even the model number.

    • I got a different response

      Gela B. 04:32 pm
      Oh okay, one second please.
I just verified, our iPhone is an Australian stock device.

I asked for the model number and the rep said contact us back when it has been delivered

      • So far people have mentioned Australian, Japanese, Chinese and USA versions. Any other versions they are stocking?

  • +1

Decent value for sure. I can imagine people who recently bought more expensive phones for kids starting high school etc finding the timing of this quite annoying.

  • Can someone tell what's the trade in price on Samsung portal for 256GB?

Jb Hifi is only giving $350 which is extremely poor value as compared to officeworks value of $475.

    • Just checked - looks like $300 only on the Samsung site, on top of that there is a trade-in bonus of $300 at the moment

    • The 128gb model is the best value for trade in as it gets you $430 vs $475 of 256gb model.
Purchase price cheaper at $424 vs $474 :)))

  • Is there any credit check on this? I am assuming this is a post-paid plan rather than pre-paid?

    • no credit check

  • Can anyone confirm if the invoice you received from amaysim has gst for the iPhone? Thinking of bringing the phone overseas and claim the gst back

    • I think the invoice will come with the phone?

  • Thanks, managed to get Blue 256GB

  • we have an iphone 7 plus and its actually still working fine compared to other android phones we bought around the same time.

grabbed a replacement but screen definitely smaller.

    • There's definitely a 0.08-inch difference in size between the screens of the phones we are referring to.

      That's 2 mm.

      • +3

        You saying 2mm doesn’t matter?

    • I got one too. How is your battery going? Mine goes down to low 20s after an hour. I just use it at home as backup now as its unusable outside.

  • -6

    looks normal price to me?

  • For those agonizing over the $24 extra for 64bg and 128gb, I was able to make do with 64gb but if you want hassle free storage and take heaps of photos, spend the $24 extra.

PS - great timing ,was looking at the office works for an iPhone and I think the cheapest was $650 or so! Thanks op.

    • Yeah definitely go 128GB if not 256GB

      • +10

i went 256 no hesitation. $74 extra for 4 times the storage

        • The only people agonizing themselves are those who are left with 64 and 128GB models once 256s are gone.

          • @pizzaguy: lol true. but even then, you'd go with highest capacity as it's always the best value

            blue 256 still in stock

            • @tdw: Never bought higher than 128gb. Never had a trouble with storage. Pay 50$ extra but never use that extra. Whats the point?

        • +1

I was on my 8 plus 64gb until recently, bad boy served me well until my 13 pro max 256gb :P

But 128gb is plenty for the average user imo

You would only need if you take lots of 4k videos, which you would normally transfer to pc or online anyway and delete off your phone after.

          • @neosin: i've been using my iphone se 1st gen 128gb since late 2017. taken heaps of photos/screenshots and the occasional video. some music and a few tv episodes. (i'm not keen on streaming.) haven't deleted anything off my phone although icloud has taken it upon itself to reduce the quality of pics that are on there even though i apparently have nearly 40gb free still

  • just realised this is actually smallee than iphone 8 and se models.

    • +13

      Much bigger screen though

      • Taller screen but narrower

  • Can I use the plan on my Galaxy S22U and sell the iPhone?

    • apparently it will also come with physical sim

  • im so annoyed I bought a refurb iphone 13 mini for like 850 instead of the mini 12 for 725….

Worth selling the refurb and buying this for 475?

    • +6

Really? Isn’t the 13 mini much better battery?

      • apparently, which is why i bought it. But if it a refurb and the battery health is not 100% it might be negligible anyway.

    • +1

This is such an amazing deal I’m tempted to buy it even though I currently have an iPhone 11, 12 Mini and 13

    • -1

is it actually a refurb or just plain used?

      • -1

Its from a refurb site but who knows..

        • if they haven't at least swapped in a brand new battery, it's just a regular used phone. did they give you info on battery health?

          • @tdw: They did not. It arrives today hopefully so I will check it and decide then

  • +1

If anyone finds out how long you can wait to activate/port your service, please share here. My pre-paid doesn't end for a few months

  • Anyone activated the esim yet?

    • -1

I tried but site is kinda broken. Are you going to activate on another phone?

      • Yes, I want to activate it on my current iPhone 13 for duo sim

    • Yes, I did.

      • Any options for you stop the auto renew settings in the app?

  • +2

Bought it in such a rush that I forgot to pick the colour lmao

    • +1

you can have any colour as long as it's black lol

      • Lol black all sold out

        • don't blame me i got the blue

          • @tdw: Lol just responding to your any colour as long as it's black!

            • +1

              @JL1: i know ;)

      • Black is OOS

  • So how do we check whether this is indeed grey import once received?

    • +1

You can contact apple directly or check the model number, usually iPhones have specific models per country region. Easiest way is to just ask apple support or go into apple store to confirm.

  • -5

Be mindful these are Grey imports. Someone from chat advised either Japan or international. whatever that means.

  • +1

    amazing find. Bought…

  • -2

    Shopback 35$ counts??

  • +2

Had to buy, too good of a deal to pass up, and I am an Android user.

Question now is how many should I get?

  • +1

Bought this but was in the market for an s23 ultra, hopefully these things can sell for a profit, eBay will be flooded after this deal is over.

    • check the previous comment about the officeworks trade in + $300 bonus for S23 Ultra

      • Better than the Samsung website deal?
Officeworks gives $475 trade in for the iPhone 12 mini 256GB, not sure about the Samsung website.

    • +1

Waiting for an ozbargain worthy s23 ultra deal like they had for s22 ultra early on

  • if i transfer my current number, does it automatically stops working or I can activate it later whenever I want?

  • +3

    Wooot ordered 2 for parents!

Was literally going to spend $724 1 day ago now $424!

    WHAT A DEAL!

  • do u know if the esim can be ported into a physical sim ?

    • +4

      Buy now ask later

      • Literally this.

    • yes you can, i called and asked and they said you will need to request physical after you activate esim, I guess they are trying to save money and hope you can’t be bothered after you get the esim working
