    This is normal price no?

  • +3

    Yes normal price :)

  • I've found these electric ones pretty poor in the past. It's just the speed of the air rating, but how much of it to actually move stuff on the ground.

I have the Stihl BG86C with vacuum and used the vacuum attachment once…
Sad part is I'm a gardener!!!!!!! I do over 95 properties a week. Hands down vacuums would be a wasted investment. Look into a Billy Goat LB352 if you really want a vacuum.

I'd urge you guys to look into a good blower like the Makita 18v x2 for home use or of course, BR800 magnum

    • +3

Bit of a price hike to go to the Billy Goat

    • +3

Looks up price for billy goat

      $1900

      I thought this was ozBARGAIN?

      • Indeed - not a fair comparison there. I use my Ozito vacuum a lot. It has its place

  • Had one of these and found it too be quite poor, the mulching function was mostly useless also.

From memory was closer to $50 when I bought one.

  • Normal Price

  • I remember buying this for 50 something a couple of years ago.
Wish i spent a little more and got something that actually has powerful vacuum and blower. The mulching thing gets clogged really fast too.

  • I have one of theses and it BLOWS!..

Also sucks, but I cant be bothered switching it over.

  • Bought this ages ago when it was $19.and that was paying too much.

Maximum blow does less than my ryobi workshop blower.

  • +3

That's the normal price and the quality of the bags is terrible.. damaged so quickly

    • Yes! and they charge $25 for replacements.

  • +3

Don't forget to buy some gaffer tape to tape up the bag so it lasts longer. Replacement bags are a bit expensive.

    • how do you recommend taping the bag? on the inside, outside, only when it breaks….

  • +3

The power tool itself won't die before the bag as the bag will last you max of 6 months if you lucky and the replacement of the bag is more than half the costs for the entire tool

    • +1

People recommend diy hacks for the bag

      • +1

What hacks? My bag got holes after a few uses. Duct tape doesn’t last long before peels off..

        • Use the cloth based gaffer tape for reinforcement. It should last longer.

  • ive had mine for 5 plus years and the air smashes out of it. never had a problem with the mulch bag fills to ful with what ever i suck up from the garden. Bag is still original and no rips.

    • Pretty much the same experience here with me.

    • +1

I paid 49 and use it to vaccum leaves. No complaints in over a year of use.

      • Ditto. Had a motor fail on my first unit, in warranty. Bunnings swapped for a new one, no problem. Replacement still going strong.

  • Great & heavy to use as a Vac- normal price…what I paid

  • need a vacuum that can pick up mulch as the birds keep moving this every time! Would this work?

    • +1

Wouldn't recommend. Mulch would destroy the impeller. It's meant for leaves and grass clippings.

  • Got one of these for something crazy like $20.

  • The bag does not last and they are expensive

  • How well does this actually work as a vacuum ? I've got a massive Tipuana in my back yard that drops a gazillion seeds every year.
