        • Thanks thedavemiester & PharrCarnell. Nice to know they are fresh.
Gonna snag a pack tomorrow at Oakleigh.

  • Nowra have like, 60 as at Friday 5pm.

  • Bought the last one from Vermnt South, they put it on the 2xbattries + charger shelve, and I'm lucky to spot it there.

So…pleased was I to see this thread…a month ago I bought the Ozito Cordless Blower [$44.95] and considered my options battery wise. A single 4ah for $79 bare or with a base charger @ $99.99 or 2 x 4ah and a fast charger for $149, which is the option I went for…hoping a deal would present itself here…

Only took out the 1 battery from the dual pack and used a spare charger I had to charge it up…tried it in the blower, but not really sure if I wanted to keep it [main intended use? Blow out dust and lint from Computer cases…used to use my compressor before but now in such a small Unit I have nowhere to keep it.]

Also considered various Duster blower models on eBay, Amazon and Aliexpress but couldn't decide…JUST returned from Bunnings…even tho the link here showed plenty at my local store…I wanted to verify in person…found them, for $99 bought it…then out to the car, get the other unit and??

    Returned the 2 battery/1 charger pack for a $149.99 refund…super OzBargain!

Plenty of stock on the shelf at Notting Hill.

  • I have one to sell. Im in hornsby area

    • Can I share with u ? I am in Carlingford

  • Plenty of stock at Nunawading (VIC). Looks like they went up on the shelves today. Also, looks like they have the impact/hammer drill sets for $99 too.

    • +1

      They've got 3 new packs:
      - 3 batteries'OP for $99
      - impact/hammer set for $99
      - drill / detail sander / jigsaw + battery/charger for $169
      Forgot to take pictures

      • I also saw a recip saw kit with 2.5ah battery + charger at my local. No prices on anything but

      • I think the $99 drill set is brushless but not hammer. At least that's what my Bunnings has on special, with 2Ah battery + fast charger. Unless you're referring to a different set?

I'm looking for a discount on the brushless hammer drill/driver, which is currently $99 skin only.

  • I've noticed some fleabay sellers flogging 3D Printed "Ozito Battery Holders" - anyone here able to print some [or link to a blueprint source] at non-ebay ripoff prices? Also noticed…a scabby dealer selling these packs at $159…plus post! What a thief!

    • Price of knowledge lol

    • -1

I personally have the ability to browse ozbargain and to cross reference / price check before committing to purchasing items.
I also have the knowledge to research suitable STL files, and my 7 year old can use Tinkercad to blend suitable files together to create holders!

oh, I can design my own holders too as I've taken the time to learn some of the basics of the FREE software package Fusion360…
and I can 3D print them in Resin, or Filament…

Be a smart-arse like me, not a whinger.

  • Called my local store at Gawler this morning and they said they have about 18 in the tool section so I popped in there this morning and grabbed one

  • A lot at Castle Hill

    • Bought one today, nrby.in says 49 at castle hill which is about right.

  • Anyone have a extra single battery to sell in Syd Northshore?

  • +3

you didn't read the post above yours?

  • Just went to Bunning in Preston. Staffs said never heard of that.

  • why is the plastic battery holder so expensive? around $30 from memory.

    • because they can! - they've seen all the home enthusiasts with 3D printers knocking out their own 'free' ones…
which is great advertising for commercial quality ones…….

so, this is priced for the lazy peeps that can't be bothered with the hassle of a 3D printed solution!

Has anyone torn down any from these triple packs to see what cells are inside?

  • When I click on the link, it directs me to the single pack at $69. They NRBY site says my local stores in North QLD have them, but they have never stocked them at special prices promoted here whenever I chase them up online or physically.

    • +2

When I click on the link, it directs me to the single pack at $69.

That's because they aren't online, as noted in my post.

Some stores seem to be clueless on this. You might have to ask a few staff members.

      • I have spoken to the store staff about online errors multiple times. They all disclaim any knowledge or ability to do anything about it. I'm also pretty sure there is no will to do anything in a town with no competition of any sort. We don't have anything like Aldi or Costco or any store that they have to match specials with.

        • +1

Okay. It looks like it's time for some humble pie. I had a tab in my browser still open on this item from when I was looking at it last week, and I refreshed it. Voilà! My local had it in stock. I just raced down there, and they had a shelf full. Looks like it just takes a long time for stock to get to North Queensland and, if the dozen teenage staff messing around and chatting is anything to go by, longer still to get scanned into stock and put on the shelf.

  • How are these still in stock? Just got two from Northmead. Quite a few left.

    • My local still had plenty. Also noticed they had the 5.2Ah with a charger for $119 - so essentially a free charger.

I guess not everyone is knee-deep into the Ozito platform … or they don't need 3 batteries.

      • Or too many deals already - I bought 4 in the last round!

        • Isn't this the first round with 3 for $99? Or do you mean you bought 4 all up, not 4*3?

          • @RubenM: There have been several rounds with 2 x 4.0 and singles. This is the first 4*3 I've seen.

        • Or too many deals already - I bought 4 in the last round!

This. We had the cheapish units at $49 just recently, and I think those that missed the 2 x 4Ah + charger deal probably spent their cash on this one.

Also … just look at how many posts in this thread are people wanting to split a purchase with others.

The simple truth is that the vast majority of people on the Ozito platform are not OzBargain members. Yes … shocking 😉

Just bought some from West Gosford!.
    I've now 6 batteries :-P

Off to print a bunch of adaptors for my Ryobi and 'stuff'
Great also to use for powering Raspberry pi's and remote zigbee sensors..can't imagine you'd find a good quality 72 Watt hour energy source for less than $33 bux

that'll be enough to run a Pi Pico W at full tilt (72mA) for 200 hours…add in a solar charger and…

After a 12 hour blackout on the weekend I'm getting another lot and an inverter.

    • +1

Not sure what you're planning on running. I doubt these batteries would last long running anything substantial.

      • Nothing with a huge power draw. A fan and the pilot for the instant gas hot water would have done the trick.

The fridge for as long as they could would be good if it went on longer. I'm up to 7 4Ah batteries (72 Wh), so better than nothing but not much.

        • +1

          Wouldn't that be 42 Ah?

          Convert Ah to Wh
          18V x 4Ah = 72Wh

Divide it by 12V now assuming its a camping fridge
          72Wh / 12V = 6Ah

So 42 Ah if were going for 12V stuff
          6Ah * 7 = 42 Ah

          If we're talking 240V with an inverter…

          72Wh / 240V = 0.3Ah

And that's not counting whatever the inefficiency of the inverter converting DC to AC adds.

          • @jaimex2: Ah is certainly lower at 240V. The 72 Wh is the battery spec (though probably lower as they aren't all new).

I'd expect (from looking at other lithium ion solutions) around 80% efficiency from battery through inverter to output. But given I already have batteries ready to go, it's certainly the most cost effective solution I'll find.

for 3 batteries this is a good deal, i thought this would sell out fast, but still alive and well.
i think i will get 3 more batteries

    • Do it!, can never have enough batteries :-)
6 is the sweet spot for me I think!, always forgetting that the leaf blower needs two, and leaving the one in the chop saw, then wife never charges the sander one…

  • +2

Not sure if people are aware, but you can get adapters for 18 volt batteries.

This enables you to do things like use Ozito batteries on Makita and other 18 volt tools(Depending on the adapter) , and adapters to batteries like Makita 18 volt batteries on Ozito tools (Again depending on the adapter).

Also, in most of the world Ozito tools are sold under the brand "EINHELL" so you may also need to search for a "EINHELL" adapter rather than Ozito.

And for those with a 3d printer there are models available on Thingiverse for adapters so you can print your own …

    • I was a bit annoyed that we don't have an Ozito small circular saw 'hand held' cutter thingy - there's a lot more Einhell range than Ozito!.
ah well…maybe next time i'm travelling!

      • +1

Free International delivery on Amazon if you don't mind paying twice the price.

        • +1

they're nifty for balsa wood and thin wood, but 12v stuff really is a bit too gutless :-(
I only jumped fully into the battery tools when they hit 18V, seems the sweet spot of price / performance, especially with the beefier 4AH batteries

  • Thanks OP!

  • Has anyone tried the knock-off Einhell batteries from aliexpress?

    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004761551730.html

    • they seem well reviewed, and well priced, and a good 'guarantee' also …Grab a set and 'take one for the team' - test them, report back and post a bargain if they're any good!

      • +1

If I didn't already have 6 batteries, I might have.

I did notice they also sell a complete kit - sans the cells - to build your own battery. Hopefully they are still around when my batteries start dying, as it could be a nice way to get higher power batteries than what's available now.

        • +2

Yeah there's other sellers on there too that sell them with up to 9000mah. I don't really have any kind of capacity tester so I'd have to judge it based on my "feels". I only have 4 x 4000mah at the moment and am amassing a growing collection of Ozito gear that is just perfect for my needs, so might spring for a couple of these aliexpress ones and see how they go. Trying to find the least dodgy looking seller i.e., not the 18000mah ones haha

Ordered a couple of 5200. $120 delivered so i'll see how they go. I'll whack them in the mower to test as one set of 4000s usually can't finish my whole lawn.

          • +1

            @ausmisc: 9000mAh will be a 'lie'
Lipo 18650 cells cab be bought in a roughly 3000mAh capacity nowadays at a not unreasonable price…
, it's rare to see significantly more than that, at any 'reasonable' price, but, either way
            These use 10 of them
            10 at 3000mAh is 30,000mAh at about 3.7V
batteries are 18(ish) volts, so that 30,000 needs to be changed down

            18 volts /3.7 volts = 4.86
            30,000 / 4.86 = 6172mAh at 18v

even if you went with a super high level (and expensive) 3,600mAh High current drain battery……you'd only get 7400mAh

            • +1

@bleugh: Yeah I was treating anything above the 5200mah as pretty suss. Went with the seller that actually sold the barebone kits and only had the standard capacity ratings, decent feedback etc.

              • +1

@ausmisc: My batteries arrived from China within about 2 weeks. Tried them out today and was and to mow my front and back lawn without charging, which my 4ah batteries can't do.
