    • I think you'll find the battery cells themselves are alright. Rather the controller is dead.

    • OMG - The Trouver. I get 3 minutes out of mine. POS. Any fixes for this?

    • same boat here.

  • Make sure you charge them if going into storage. Had one new dead battery which I didn't use for a while.

Yet to try trickle charging or charging individual cells.

    • Safer to rotate packs as you use them than to trickle charge.

I did have a new battery that was unbalanced from the box and couldn't be recharged. Had to charge an individual cell to balance them out.

    • Charged but not full. Don't store lithium ions at 100%. My longer term store ones are all stored at 2-3 bars full.

      • In a consistently cool place too. Batteries hate the heat.

    • have a 1.5ah one that sat around and I just could not get it to charge…. but I have 4 4ah so…

      • +2

I fixed an Ozito battery that had sat too long and wouldn't charge.

I used a YouTube video to see how to get around the problem. Used another Ozito battery to jump start the charging, then was able to fully charge the defect unit.

        Here's the link: https://youtu.be/r_sJd6WaSi0

        • That's good to know!

        • Neat trick!

  • Just need one battery… who is keen to share the cost

        • Sure, I only need 2 anyway. Are you able to PM me?

          • @cnboyli: Interested in one (if there is one spare). From Kellyville as well.

Great price. Just picked it up from Mernda. They werent even on shelf yet. Thanks OP.

  • Please note that although the stock checker indicates the stores that have stock, the stock may be sitting on the loading dock waiting to be unpacked and not on the shelf in store available for sale yet.

None available on the shelf in store at Padstow NSW a couple of hours ago, even stock level is showing 45.

    • Boo. I was going to go to the Padstow store later today.

So did you leave empty handed or did they grab you a pack from the loading dock?

      • They didn’t know where they were, they guessed as there as a delivery from Ozito received at the loading dock that they were in that delivery, I don’t think the store staff are allowed to unpack the deliveries, so they weren’t interested in find one for me. Left empty handed

Might have been unpacked and on the shelf by now, only way to find out is go there.

    • so you just make your way to the back silly.

  • I need 1, if anyone wants to split I can meet up tomorrow/Saturday - Hornsby area

    • keeeen

  • I need one. Can I meet someone today or tomorrow at Ringwood VIC?

  • I need 1 as well. Happy to buy and share if anyone interested to buy 1 from me - Adelaide

For those interested in using them as power banks; someone is selling these on eBay.

Waiting for one that can run a notebook myself.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/374450397532

    • That looks alright, but seems a bit lacking in power delivery. Limited to 20w. My phone charges at 65w …

      • +1

Too bad that's only 5V/2.1A and 5V/1A. Not the USB-C PD 20W and QC3 18W in the eBay link.

        • Yeah but it costs as much as the battery lol

        • +1

If you have a 3D Printer you could print out a mount for cigarette and shove any 12-24V USB PD chargers in there.

I've been happily running my laptop off of a Baseus 65W for a while now.
Best part is it is modular!

    • That looks cool - almost bought one but decided I can't think of a use case or where a power bank wouldn't be better.

    • These have the right voltage to power most laptops directly.
I just soldered a charge cable into the Ozito USB adapter from Bunnings.

  • +2

I've seen other drill batteries been used for Dyson stick vacuums with adaptor, would be great if there was an Ozito option!

    • There is, check my post above. Choose the Universal 6/7/8 Ozito adapter. Works best.

      • Damn unfortunately I have a V10 model, didn't know such a thing existed though for Ozito good to see Aussie made!

  • No click and collect!
64 in store but staff refused to sell!

    • So in store didn't scan for $99?

      • It's not on the shelf yet…

      • If they are lazy then they are lazy! Sell expensive instead!

    • My store said "probably still on the delivery pallet, rey again tomorrow" shrug

  • +2

Good to see 18650 prices falling.

  • +2

Thanks, OP. Just picked it up.

  • If adapting the Ozito for use in Ryobi, do you charge the battery in an Ozito or Ryobi charger?

    • +2

Never a good idea to switch charger.
      Ozito = Einhell like Aldi
Ryobi = TTI (HK) like Hoover, Milwaukee and more

  • Rang 2 stores in Adelaide, they're showing stock TO BE RECEIVED but it appears stock has to be unloaded and put on shelves, maybe 24 to 48 hours.

    • Virginia Qld said the same. They said it normally happens on a Friday but it just arrived tonight

    • Sounds about right - Went to ADL Airport bunnings (nrby showing 20+ in stock). They couldn't find them (nor had heard of them) - and then I happened to see them on upper shelves near the tool desk. They assumed they would be told maybe over weekend to put them out.

Anyone still waiting for the Kar her sweeper? I was promised a sweeper then they cancelled

    • I had the same cancellation and refund. Turned out that the store manager cancelled it. I complained with the customer support (phone). They created a new order and i paid for it in store. I picked up a brand spanking new sweeper last week

      • These MF don't answer the phone and don't call back so I sent an email

        • There is a call back service 1800 797 586 so you don't have to wait. Good luck. I had a smooth process luckily

  • Anyone heading to bunnings Greenacre, the battery pack is out the front of the tool section, next to the register. There's 21 available.

For those with ryobi products and a 3d printer.. Can print an ozito to ryobi converter.

While the adapter works well, I've had trouble with higher power Ryobi tools suddenly turning off if sudden power draw is too high.

ie. My Ryobi brushed impact driver will suddenly stop if you press the switch all the way down on the highest mode.
This isn't the case with Ryobi's own batteries.
Also yes I have tried with Ozito 5.2Ah batteries.

I've yet to figure out whether it's a contact issue or it's some protection kicking in.
Either way it hasn't bother me enough to look into..yet.

      • Good to keep in mind! I haven't had that issue yet but I also don't have a brushed impact driver. Maybe what I use just doesn't draw a high enough amp to make it cut out. I wonder if it's an inbuilt protection circuit inside the Ozito battery or whether it's the Ryobi driver.

        • Hi, have you printed the adaptor personally? Just asking because I noticed a comment on thingiverse about some holes not lining up or being wrong?

          • @Punkboy: Hey, not that one specifically. I printed one from printables.com. I went looking for it for you but I can't find it.

The one I linked to on thingiverse, the commentor that said the holes don't line up. If you look at the remix that he created its for a different battery. I suspect he just didn't print the right one?

  • Both stores near me the Munno Para and gawler have no stock

  • Asked at Virginia Qld. They had no idea. Girl said she'd check out the back and a whole trolley of them had just arrived

  • +1

Got one at Maroochydore, they're across the tool shop checkout.

  • Bought a pack and have one spare in the Ashfield NSW Bunnings catchment. Pm me if interested.

Most stores don’t have these in store on the shelf available for purchase yet

  • Anyone to share near St Leonards or Crows Nest NSW?
    i need one only.

  • Anyone to share one near Ringwood VIC, Melbourne?
    I need one only.

    • I am over at Doncaster and just got a box. I am looking to sell one. Let me know if you are keen. Cheers

      • Still got many left? I'm close to either Northland Preston or Doncaster but need 2. Thanks

  • So great seeing all the sharing on Ozbargain :-)

  • Anybody want to share around Crossroads/Bonnyrigg? I only need one

Already have 3, sorely tempted to get another 3.
These make fantastic battery packs for Raspberry pi / Arduino projects. Phone charging and more!
    Thanks OP

  • Not on shelf in clyde north Victoria as well, staff just said if its not on shelf then we do not have it.

    • they were wrong

  • Anyone keen to split? Im based in upper north shore

  • Browns plains qld has about 30 in stock in the tool shop

  • Didn't see any on the shelf last night at Mt Gravatt - but they also had boatloads of Ozito stuff in boxes to put out it seemed. I wasn't really looking for them.

  • +1

Thanks, OP got a box. I only need 2 batteries though and can share the third for the cost ($33)
    location - Melbourne South East

    • Hi tarpit, I'm interested. Will PM you.

  • Padstow Bunnings had plenty of stock on the shelf this morning

  • +2

Thanks for the deal. Got a box, looking to sell one at cost ($33). Location - Doncaster, Vic

    • Hey, are there many in stock in Doncaster? Thanks

      • +1

There was 13 left in the morning.

  • Apologies for the dumb question but does this come with a charger? Or is this a batteries only pack?

    • No charger for this price, just three batteries in a box.

    • i have way to many chargers from previous deals. i'm going to pass on this, but i already have a rotation of 6 new batteries from 2022. probably going to look to buy and eventually replace the ones i have in a few years, but this is one hell of a deal.

  • 45 on shelves at Mile End SA, I assume Adelaide Airport and Edwardstown have them as well

  • Grabbed a pack at Bunnings Thornleigh NSW. They were a little hidden in front corner of tools section. Looked like about half a dozen packs on shelf.

  • Now I need a deal on those dual chargers so I can keep more than two of these babies ready to go.

    • If you're in Perth - pm me as I have a new one that im offloading

      • Thanks but in Brisbane.
