Eg? I didn't pay GST as i live in Antarctic

But i didn't get 96%. Otherwise i would have gotten $117.72 cashback, instead of the 109.70

        • Not sure then, mate's tracked at that amount too btw - just checked
          Cost 123.96 + $12.40 GST = 136.37

probably got duped on the exchange.. good enough really though.

      This would be why.

      • A mate got the same 88.5% and paid GST. But with an Aussie card which explains it.

so is it better to pay in AUD or USD
        and GST or NOT?

        Thanks,

If something is USD I'll always pay USD. Add currency conversion free card to PayPal, set website currency to USD, pay with PayPal, select card and then click "See currency options" to bill the card in USD.

If you don't bill the card in USD then expect to get a shitty exchange rate courtesy of PayPal. This way I'll always get the current MasterCard/Visa rate.

        No, because CR says

        AUD 109.70 Estimated approval:
        Store NordVPN
        Amount USD 84.00*

        According to XE $us84 = $121.59 (i paid $123.96)

        96% of $121.59 = $116.72 so I'm $7 outta pocket of the promised 96%

        • Yeah dunno - Still a good deal
Agree just use a card that doesn't attract overseas fees

will wait for the next one still got 1.5 months, not even 96%..

@G-rig: My last subs recently expired where I made $5 profit for 3yrs,

But I just don't like being duped. If it's going to be 88.5% CB them say so. Because i wouldn't have done it.

            • @M00Cow: Cancel it then mate, and look for another provider. 3y was better agreed, then you don't need to go through all this as often.

    • I got charged the same and used Oregon for no GST. I think Cashrewards assumed the final amount you paid includes GST, so only gives cb on 96% of 10/11th of the final cost.

      • I paid $136.37 with GST, only tracked for $109.7 - that is just 80.5% cashback :(

        • Everyone should put in a claim, false advertising..

      • Same here. I have sent them an enquiry.

bought 2 using cashrewards app, only 1 tracked, and will take another 90 days to know if it will be approved, too risky…

    • Did you make seperate clicks through CR for each purchase and did you use a different email for each one? If not that would explain why one tracked. If you cancel within 30 days you'll get a refund.

      • It was bought separately both via CR APP, hope it's easy to make a refund…

  • Not sure I will be continuing with Nord now that I have Google VPN for free with my 2TB subscription.

    • +1

Yeah it depends what you want it for. That's good for privacy (well as much privacy as you get with Google), but Nord allows you to geo-relocate for different content/better pricing.

Anyone got the cash back? Mine was pending for a few months and recently I asked for it they rejected it. It’s too risky, don’t buy it.

    • Any reason provided why it was not approved?

  • Does this work well on travel routers, in particular GL-AR750 ?

If so, is the process easy?

    Thanks.

  • I clicked on the complete plan, I thought that was what we needed to pick to get the extra months and was charged $148.14 USD after saying I live in Oregon. I guess I got that wrong. What was I meant to pick? No tracking from cashrewards to make matters worse.

    • Standard plan

  • First time using cashback. So, I just register my credit card with cashback and need to use that card on nordvpn and they'll refund 96% back? Is that so?

  • I'm getting $235 for 2 years membership, does that sound right? It said $5.99 per month, then changed at checkout

    • 5.99 USD x 24 months = 144 USD = 213 AUD + 10%GST = 235 AUD

  • +1

How long does it take to track

  • Ok so I just done this. Out of pocket expense $136.36 for the 2 year standard plan. Cashback confirmed at $109.70. So the real cashback is actually 80%. Pretty good I guess, can't complain, but it ain't 96%.

    • Ah, you didn't set a country with no GST/VAT (e.g. the US) when checking out. My out of pocket expense for the 2 year standard plan was $123.96. Hope you got more than the 3 month's bonus that I did.

      • Yeah I didn't do that. Didn't read through the comments. And got 3 months extra. Oh well, still fairly happy 2 years and 3 months of VPN for 26 bucks.
Not a fan of cashrewards though - approval of the cashback is estimated mid May 2023…why such a long wait??

        • That's pretty standard for all cashback sites. They need to see the money from the vendor first before passing it to us. As a Vendor, I would wait until the risk of Customer returns has settled before dishing out money to Cashrewards, so I think a few months wait is reasonable.

  • How long until cashback is supposed to be confirmed? Paid by Visa, I had adblockers disabled and the green tick on the cashrewards extension and shows up under click history.

    • result - tracking took about an hour and a half.

  • Still haven't pulled the trigger on this.
Anyone know why it's not actually 96% cashback?
Guess you'd have to put a claim into cash rewards.

  • I’ve signed up and my first impression after a day of use is that NordVPN is quite a bit slower and less reliable than Surfshark
App design and user experience on both macOS and iOS is also much better with Surfshark
Also disappointed by the 88% actual cashback instead of the advertised 96%

    • This is worth a try

If all else fails just cancel for a refund. They have a 30 day window.

      • Yeah I was aware of that, I actually never activated it. And I’ve only used Aussie servers so far. I will consider a refund but I’ll probably just forget about it :D

    • How much shark surf?
Is there an app for Google TV/ apple TV?

      • There was a 96% cashback deal on here about a year ago

        • Just looked it up, $3.32/month for 24 months= $80.

  • Nord pricing has gone up - was $123 + gst yesterday. $148 ex gst today.

    • Website says US $83.79 = A $121.17 (ex tax) for Standard??

      • Click through to the checkout and it changes - unless you have and something wasn't right with my attempt?

      • You're right - I had to go incognito to get that price. So if you have purchased previously it will charge you an extra $17US…

  • Monthly NordVPN deal is back, ends in 2 days

  • Approval Date (Estimated): 08-06-2023

    😆 for real!?

  • Are these deals monthly? Haven't seen a March one and looking to sign up.
