  • Very good price. Is it a metal body or plastic?

  • +1

I think the code is targeted? I can only use PLUSFEB1 which take 5% off

  • +1

    This deal is targeted.

  • Does anyone know how long the battery lasts? Like for normal web browsing and office and stuff?

    • +2

Not as good as 11th gen.

  • +1

    Back in stock, gogogo

  • This is a good deal. Much better than other similar Ultrabook deals lately…
I have this on my eBay, targetted for once—- but got a thin&lite less than a year ago… Would jump on this if I needed a productivity laptop!

  • +2

Why do I see 512gb ssd?

  • +4

be good of they made these in 13"

    • 13.3 or 14" would be perfect. I thought more companies were headed this way. While this is an amazing laptop, they can't change the fact that 15.6" is just…big.

      • Agreed. Though the only 14" NUC is a 14e modular. Looks like an interesting concept but expensive.

  • +1

Wasn't there some talk of the i5 being better in processing power last deal due to thermal throttling?

  • -2

    1920x1080 in 2023 …

    • +4

15.6" tho it ain't bad. I doubt most people would even notice at this size apart from the scaling factor

      • +2

Plus lower resolution is better for battery life.

    • +3

1920x1080 is perfectly fine. 4k would decrease battery performance

      • You’re right. I think 2.8k like the Lenovos have is a sweet spot for performance and resolution (assuming you’re using it as a workstation not a gaming machine)

  • Who is it targeted to?

    • +6

      People with money

      • Or credit. I just realised my closest C&C is a day's drive away.

    • people who need a laptop. Anyone who doesn't need a discrete graphics card

  • +2

One of the best laptop for the price.
Has it's flaws such as the 12th gen CPU not being very efficient, not having dedicated number pad for 15.6inch size, etc. But the overall value is hard to beat considering the spec and performance.
Thunderbolt 4 ports make it very flexible if the monitor support thunderbolt, it's always nicce if one cable can do everything.

    • +1

It's nice to be always nicce.

    • Not having a numpad is a plus not a minus.

      • Well, lucky u then

      • but plus and minus are on the numpad.

        • -2

They're on the main keyboard too, right next to each other as a matter of fact. But num pads on laptops are just dumb unless you have something like a 17 in laptop where you can actually have full-size keys. We run a fleet of them and get the occasional 15 in laptop with a numpad and it's almost always a 75% numpad. Now I try and only get Intel NUC laptops, they're the perfect corporate laptop, well specced, well built, and very well priced.

  • Good deal, won't even let me add to chart tho 🤣

    • +3

Try using Excel. Should be able to add it.

  • +1

    Does this have coil whine?

…like the Nuc x15 / Kraken I got from Budget PC… (Mini rant: Their customer service is horrible, totally unresponsive).

    • Why would you want coil whine?

      • +8

I prefer it over the wife's

        • +3

          Give my regards to Karen.

    • yeah build quality on those were horrible..

  • "10/100 LAN Card", seriously?

    • Haha i don't know whwre/why it says that. It doesn't have one.

      • "Features:Touchscreen, Bluetooth, Optical Drive, Built-in Webcam, Wi-Fi, 10/100 LAN Card, Multi-Touch Trackpad, Backlit Keyboard"
According to the pictures, I guess it doesn't have "Optical Drive" either. Now I wonder what else is incorrect :)

    • 10 is still faster than fttn

  • do you have better deals available in your premium subscription, OP?

  • +2

still cant add it to cart, anyone else experiencing this issue? or is it just OOS

  • Storage 512 or 1tb

      1. Report this deal so that it is corrected
  • Tossing up grabbing this as my work-from-home laptop / occasional in-field laptop.

Would it be a decent workstation laptop?

Tend to have multiple tabs in the browser whilst running MS office and lite programs relating to work on 34-inch + 22-inch monitors.

    • +2

Yeah works well for that kinda workload.

    • +1

      More than enough

  • What no Qld

  • My Bing Lee ebay "sale" purchase from a month ago still hasn't shipped.

Bing Lee rep claims to have no stock while the listing continues to sell, at full price.

    • +1

      I don't think that's how it works

  • cries in 16GB RAM

    Need this for Revit

  • Anyone know if the screen is matte or gloss? Can't seem to find it anywhere, I must be blind…

    • Gloss. It has a glass cover.

  • -2

I'm targetted but don't see it as a great deal, good deal, sure, but not great imo.

    • +1

I challenge you to find a laptop that comes close to this in price, without sacrificing any of the following:

      15" FHD IPS touchscreen
      100% sRGB
      Aluminium chassis
      Glass trackpad
      1240p / 1260p CPU
      Dual channel 16 GB RAM

I tried to convince a relative to buy this, but they instead walked into a store and got a subpar model with a plastic chassis, plastic trackpad, single-channel 16 GB RAM, and a dim low-quality non-touch display. All to save $100.

  • This or Surface Pro 7 plus?

  • so is it 512gb or 1tb?

  • I bought this laptop late last year. Customer Service is very average at best. The touchpad failed after 3 months of use but other than that, it's good value for money 😂

    • +1

We had a faulty unit and Intel (not Bing Less) just gave us a full refund. Sure the refund took a couple of weeks to get processed but on the plus side, we got refunded the "eBay" invoice amount not the actual amount we paid eBay (20% sale at the time). I was happy with that.

      • How did you return the unit? Did intel send you return package slip?

        • +2

Yep, Intel took care of everything. Can't remember what was wrong with it, but they sent a courier to pick up and refunded the money. I think it keeps it simpler for them than having to deal with warranty returns, repairs, replacements etc.???

  • bought this earlier this year same price and amazing laptop for the price

  • 109 sold. gone…

  • Anyone picked up is it 512 or 1 tb ?
    Thanks

  • +1

    Thanks OP, I bought, AMA.

    1TB SSD Storage
    Touchscreen
Build quality 7/10, could be better
    Gloss screen
    Overall good value

  • Can anyone explain please how to become targeted for the deal or other deals from bing lee?

    • +1

You create multiple ebay accounts and hope one of them have the targeted ebay deal. Looks like they dont even need to be ebay plus either.

  • Has anyone else had issues with the built-in mic for this laptop? The mic input volume is really low when I test with both Microsoft Teams and the sound test that comes with windows 11. I've had an ongoing ticket open with Intel support (who have been very responsive and seem to be trying to help) but after trying all the driver updates and workarounds they suggested, there was only a minor improvement. I'm basically inaudible unless I tilt my screen down and speak directly into the mics. Strangely enough, the Voice Recorder app captures my voice well when I speak normally to the screen and I've had mixed results with other apps (Skype/Discord/Slack).

I previously returned the i7-1165g7 NUC M15 because of this exact issue thinking it was a lemon and got this model instead but really disappointed to see the exact same problem. Nobody else seems to have mentioned this problem but I find it hard to believe my luck is bad enough to get 2 lemons in a row.

    • I don't have this laptop but have had issues with low mic volume before.

What fixed it was going into sound settings, then sound control panel.

Recording tab, double click on the microphone, levels tab, turn microphone boost all the way up.

      • I've tried just about everything Intel and google results have suggested including those unfortunately. BIOS drivers, Realtek audio drivers, a graphics driver (because apparently it also affects the audio), factory reset, installing windows 10, installing newly developed drivers by Intel support engineers and just about every variation of sound settings. I still feel it's a driver issue since the chances of the same hardware issue on two slightly different models should be really low but I've yet to see anyone else with this laptop complain.

        • Hello
I and others have the exact same issue with Intels NUC M15 i7-1165G7. Were you able to solve the low microphone volume issue with Intel?
I am in contact with Intel through the Intel Community website:
          https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-NUCs/Intel-NUC-M15-Lapt…
Until now the technical community staff could not offer us any solution other than the usual ones like a full reinstall.

  • I am also having this microphone volume issue with my Intel NUC M15 i7-1165G7 (the more expensive touch model, but first generation)

Reinstalling drivers doesn't help - but can cause the microphone to be removed, or can disable sound, which is not helpful. Incredibly low microphone volume is the best I've gotten, and I can't fix it. And neither can Intel.

    Any advice appreciated.

    • Your experiences are exactly the same as mine and others have had. At best, a semi-functioning mic, no mic at all, and at worst, no sound at all.
According to statements from various customers, Intel seems to be aware of the problem, but does not offer professional support.

  • You could contact Intel's CEO, Pat Gelsinger, to try and get more attention on this. He's on twitter.
