Samsung Jet 90 Complete Stick Vaccum $699 ($649 with Newsletter Signup, RRP $999) Delivered @ Samsung

Solid Reviews. This model has an interchangeable battery which seems to be the weakness in longevity for stick vaccume lifespan.

  • This or Tineco S3?

    • Tineco S3 seems to have mixed reviews on Google!

  • Thanks OP! How are these compared to the bespoke? Cheers!

    • I found the review really helpful. I went the 90 over bespoke as it's bagless so less maintenance cost. https://www.rtings.com/vacuum/tools/compare/samsung-jet-90-c…

    • Bespoke is slightly stronger and with the current price drop of the bespoke as well, if you can go up, the 2nd battery alone makes it worth it. The performance of the heads are also improved over the jet 90

  • Can't decide between this or a Dyson Vxx, what do you guys think? Thanks.

I'd go Dyson V11 or higher if you can get for the same price. Samsung won for me because it was lower cost.

You would compare this with V11 in terms of power and run time (both 200AW and up to 60mins).

-V11 has a nicer screen to use and a slightly more efficient battery than the Jet 90. Can buy more different styles of accessories.
      - Jet 90 is cheaper (even when not on sale), charges quicker (3.5 hours from flat vs 4 hours on V11), comes with a stand and soft roller head (you have to buy extra on V11 which is $149, only needed if you have at least 50/50 ratio of hard floors and carpets), has a slightly bigger canister and you can wash the mesh filter inside where you cant on the V11.

So pros and cons of the two, it just comes down to personal preference

      • For reference, V11 is slightly higher at 220AW, and also has the anti tangle floor and mini hair screw heads which is very useful for people with long hair in the house.

That said, this is a fantastic price for a Jet 90, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to friends and family at that price if I didn't work for Dyson lol

        • As a former Dyson Rep, but still keeps in touch with old colleagues, You are mixing your range a bit, Base V11 is 200AW, it is the Outsize, otherwise formerly known as V11 Outsize is 220AW. They both use the same V11 motor technically, what ups the AW is the wider head on the Outsize.

          • @cortex21: All due respect but I’ve worked for Dyson since the V11’s original launch and the air wattage it hasn’t changed between the two.
Original v11 with screw in battery was 185AW, and the click in battery V11 units are 220AW, this is the same for the Outsize. Dyson hasn’t sold a cord free vacuum with exactly 200AW suction. What’s annoying is that the Motorbar head now on the V11 lower floor suction back to 185, as it’s now the more basic design like V8-10 and lacks the DLS feature it used to include. Hope this clarifies for you

            • @Anthropomorphised: I was with them when it launched too, I left just after.

But I don't know if you remember but in stores, they literally had the power scale chart in the stands/leaflets ( just before the outsize was released) they had the V11 click-on era listed at 200AW briefly, and now the website says its 40% stronger than the V10 which makes it's at 210AW, so that was on them if they did remove/changing it after, I didn't believe it either since that's a jump on power with marginal changes unless you count the change in the driven head design and the launch of the LG A9K. So Dyson's discrepancy of info seems to be inconsistent over time it seems.
And yes Dyson does that, they rerelease products with less features over time. E.g. Fans, Cordless with less accessories, or lost of DLS as you said, etc, make it harder to sell

@cortex21: Were you mesh or first party? Basically the whole team is first party now to my knowledge.

This is classic Dyson with their data inconsistency. Instore POS said 90% more suction than V8 until recently, now updated to 60% which represents the floor suction of 185AW.

There are definitely regional differences too, just to compound confusion.

As I'm sure it's clear - I'm not posting in any official or representative capacity.

Great that there's finally more competition from Samsung and LG to force Dyson to get better. Hopefully Miele get their shit together and sell something better than triflex to complete as well

                • @Anthropomorphised: I was First party, direct hire and the last batch before they did mesh.

Oh yes I remember that too, very inconsistent indeed.

The regional differences was a nightmare back in the day lol.

Oh don't worry I know, trust me I know you are not lol

Yeah look, I have no quarrels with Dyson but they are starting to get complacent and riding on their reputation in my eyes. The Gen5 does seem to be good change of start from that for once. And yes Omg Miele, the triflex is not great to handle or even demo with lol
