Really rate them, putting music on is as easy as drag and drop. Although, it felt a little odd, as it's been years since I had to get music onto the PC.
It also comes with ear plugs, which are really good (and make the music clearer), however works well without the plugs.
How does the quality of music compare to typical Bluetooth earbuds?
I could only compare to my airpods pro and current Bose QC ii earbuds - and although I'd say both are better than the shokz, I'd say that they are made for different purposes. I do rate the quality of music on the shokz, considering that they are designed to listen while in water. They also have two modes as well (general and swimming).
Nonetheless, if you do swim and would like to listen to music (or other things, like audiobook etc) while swimming, these are definitely the way to go. I actually don't have any negative things to say about them thus far, they do exactly as described (and do a good job).

How is it in terms of water proofing? I used them for running, but killed 3 pairs of cheap AliExpress bone conduction headphones over the last 2-3 years — might as well buying a Shokz that has warranty.
This is the swim model, specifically for immersion in water
This specific model is for swimming, so it's waterproof to that extent. I've used it about 4-5 times now while swimming for up to one hour and have had no issues. It's early days, but also during my research I didn't find any issues relating to water and this model.
