Has has a price drop since then, and further discount with Kogan First. Could be just about the cheapest a 65" OLED has been, of if not, close to (Edit: The Metz 65" deal was cheaper and may have been the same TV, but that deal doesn't come around often)

  These are most likely the same as the Metz OLEDs sold at thegoodguys. Rebadged Skyworth TV
  Definitely cheapest at the moment but doesn't beat the previous TGG deal

    Yes, however that deal has come up exactly once, I doubt anyone will be waiting around for it who needs one any time soon. At TGG it's currently the RRP for $1999/$2999 for the 55/75. Those prices are nuts. Hopefully the competition from kogan will bring prices down.

    Probably the most important things is that these TVs are a known quantity now, and the people who have them rate them, so people buying one now aren't going in totally blind.

      I feel bad for anyone paying those retail prices haha. Im hoping the 55" Metz or Kogan drops to $999 so I can grab one for the bedroom.
      Hard to return to LED after experiencing OLEDs beauty

        When I first saw your comment I read it as bathroom, and I was thinking "It's not just me then!"

        I have a 55" plasma which I love but I just upgraded to a cheap 75" LED (The EKO, says HDR but edge lit). I haven't unpacked it yet so I'm not sure if it's going to wash with me after 10 years of plasma goodness

          @Jackson: Will still look great if you have quality source material! Might notice some light bleed in a dark room but lowering the backlight and adding a bias light/LED strip behind the TV will help

            @jsediv: Yeah I thought I would take the punt as will be moving soon and the new room will be very bright, too bright for the plasma, so that will be relegated to somewhere else in the house

              @Jackson: The only upgrade path from plasma is OLED right now. Most OLEDs are brighter than old plasmas too

    sign up to Kogan first and you will often get free shipping, not sure about on this unit as they don't always do builky items.
