Amazon is price matching The Gamesmen

    • +29

thanks, grabbed it from The Gamesmen, gotta support them!

      • +3

Good on you! We must do this because it keeps large retailers from charging us more.

      • I'm with you. Monopolistic companies tend to give us price gouging, such as the current price of graphics cards. We have no extra buying options.

      • Is shipping on top? Or are you doing pickup?

    • Isn’t this sold from the gamesmen on Amazon?

  • -4

CLACK CLACK CLACK when the thumbsticks hit the edge.

    Why is it so loud?

  • +2

    Robot white same price

Oh that's what you mean by red/white, I'm guessing. I got confused because the red pulse has white on the back of it.

    • +2

Lol, I forgot red version has a white back :)

      • +1

It's my PC controller. I have the Razer charger for it too 🙃

        • It is a great controller so I mostly use on PC as well but also sometimes I use on PS5 via PS Remote Play.

        • Hi would you know if it has bluetooth, was looking for something to work with Shield Pro, I have Elite but that one does not have Bluetooth connectivity

          • +1

@qaziatiq: Yes, it has bluetooth as well so technically it can be connected to everything that has bluetooth ( there are some exceptions of course). Nvidia Shield is an android system so it is very easy connect an Xbox controller to it.

            • @TheFool: Thanks ordered :) now I have two controllers wife will not be happy :o

        • +1

$45.82 delivered with eBay Plus CODE "SFEB17", through razer_au store.

LAST ONE LEFT - Pulse Red - perfect for this deal

That's awesome, hadn't seen Razer was making them, I don't need it though so hopefully someone here snags this bargain.

          • @camshandez: It's a great device. Matching texture with the controller, looks like they were made for each other. Easy to just chuck it on to charge too, no cables!

    • +3

You literally post the same crap everytime. Why are you here?

    • +2

      Why you always flexing?

  • +2

Are the d-pads on these still noisy microswitches like the xb1 BT controller?

    • +3

It has a very clicky and noisy d-pad but frankly I quite like it. It depends on personal preference of course.

  • does anyone know if this has the headphone jack built in?

    • +2

yes, it has built-in headphone jack

  • Can I use this on pc?

    • +9

Yes, you can (via bluetooth or USB connection)

    • I use it on PC, though had issues until I connected the motherboard's antenna even though I was right next to it, which is apparently a common issue. Using more than one Bluetooth device apparently also causes issues with it, in which case you might need the dongle.

It also eats batteries like crazy, you'll want to get rechargeables or a battery pack (official or knockoff)

edit: Or a usb-c cable, though it needs to be a data type and not just power, and those seemed oddly expensive when I looked into it.

      • Hmmm damn I have an older xbox one controller and I got a new pc and am having the same issues

      • +3

About the cable, they shouldn’t be expensive. It might have more to do with what you’re searching.

If you find any cable rated for 5gbps or 10gbps (or higher) it will work just fine guaranteed.

Some original usb 2.0 usb c cables are wonky because they’re not designed to have data, and they use the incorrect pinout. Getting anything rated 5gbps or higher will bypass any chance of that happening.

Amazon currently has lots of great cheap cables from a quick search.

      • and those seemed oddly expensive when I looked into it.

?? data cables are like $10-$20 lol.

        eg: ugreen data cable

        • Is that one a data cable? It says fast charge. edit: nevermind yeah it mentions data too

It's only 1m so I was trying to find one with a bit more range, but as you get to $20 and up you may as well buy an Xbox battery pack. Either way it's approaching another 30-50% increase on the price of the controller, which is a hidden cost to be aware of.

          • +1

@CodeExplode: The 2m is $16. Can select it in the dropdown box on the same page.

There heaps of data cables on amazon. I just chose ugreen since they are reputable and you can 99.9% guarantee that it will work.

If you add "gbps" to whatever cable type you search for it should technically work. Plenty under $10 in that case.

  • +9

Dammit - I didnt even get here early enough to say Towels most definitely already has one.

  • So, can I pair it with Mac?

  • +3

so nice! i dont need another x series controller..but damn that is a nice red

  • +5

If you're a Telstra customer, don't forget these are sometimes available on the Telstra Rewards shop.

I've had 2 mobile phones with Telstra for years but didn't know about Telstra Rewards. Was happy to learn I could get these controllers for "free" using my points.

I bit cheaper (in points) than buying gift cards or a tablet or something.

    • +1

Thats great to know! Do you remember how much points it was to redeem yours? Looks like its available for 30k points atm

  • Good stuff, bought 2 of them directly. :)

  • Do these work on the xbox 1 consoles?

    • +5

      Yes.

      Source: me. Tried it myself.

    • +1

Yes, they work on Xbox One as well.

    • +1

      yes bro

    • +1

      Yep.

  • +4

best current gen controllers.. would buy more if I don't already have one…

    • -4

They stink, returned twice till now and cbf returning it for the third time just after 3 weeks of use.

My 1st gen controller with my Xbox 1 still perfect after 12 years.

The only good thing with new gen controller is the d-pad is good

      • +1

        What's wrong?

        • +5

They were blaming the controller for their lack of skill.

          • -5

@I like freestuff: Better to have lack of skills than lack of brains which you obviously have 😂

        • +4

First time had an RB button that stopped working, 2nd time I got RT button that stuck, 3rd time RT again that stuck, problem fixed itself now it makes a loud click sound when I click RT.

Lodging an accc dispute and will only accept refund

          • +3

@Bretttick: that sounds bad…. their QC could have been better….

            • @HD9990: Yep, 3rd strike is enough for me. Got an 8bitdo ultimate recently as I had a feeling the controller would shit itself again.

              • @Bretttick: So you've asked and been denied a refund?

                • @bmerigan: Not yet, but just lodging complaint. Microsoft made me jump through hoops the first 2 returns, back and forth at least 30 emails no joke. There contact number is useless, just a recorded message telling to go online. They said my controller was out of warranty when it wasn't. Finally sorted out return label. Then that was declined, went through that process a second time till I lost my shit. Finally send back controller expected not to have another issue, then back to square. Redone all the shit again. I honestly don't have the patience this time, rather waste 10 mins filling out form and they can chase it up with me the dogs

      • Only issue ive had is a sticky B button on my Series X. Compressed air fixed it right up.

Had zero issues and with my Xbox controllers since 360 days.

        • +2

As I said in my first post, I have an old Xbox 1 controller that's 12 years old. Still working perfectly. Gave it to my 9 yo nephew along with console, no issues till today.

          • @Bretttick: poor kid getting a sticky AF joystick…. actually two joysticks….

  • I still use the controller that came with my origianl Xbox one. Are the new controller better? Specially the shoulder buttons? Playing elden ring on my xbox one controller is annoying because of how much effort I need to press the R1 button. Does these new controller have softer shoulder buttons? Or same?

    • Best of them all. Crispy clear.

    • +2

BTW, why not switch to X/Y for attacks? I have never got used to the should button attack….

      • +1

Yeah for shooters triggers are ok as attack buttons.

Otherwise nothing beats the traditional thumbtip buttons for attack.

      • I have no idea why i never thought of that…. lol. I'll give that a try tonight haha

  • +4

If only the pulse red one actually looked like it does in the picture, its a lot more plastic and cheap looking irl, the image makes it look really vibrant and saturated.

The maroon red one they did is more accurately represented.

  • +1

can you use this on the xbox 360.?

    • +1

      No.

      • cheers!!

      • How about the Xb1 ?

  • +1

    Still the best controller.

I have 5 now and for no good reason lol

  • -3

Egad! For that price, just as well go for the PS5 controller since it is the superior, ergonomics are great and is simply the best out there. No contest. I got both and guess what's my goto controller while the other is collecting dust?

Well at least the Xbox controller is good for something. Dusts seem to attract it, a lot. lol

  • Sorry if this has been asked before, but compatible with a windows PC? And perhaps an Amiga 500 mini?

    • curious on the latter… my Dad has one

  • Wish the main buttons were properly coloured, puts me off buying these, even though I don't really look at them much these days haha!

  • Thanks, got one for game emulation on the PC.

  • Do these also work with xbox one?

    • Yes, they do

  • Wish the back was red. Shame they don't do the new models in the sports red I love my sports red it has dark red rubber back grip. And neat decals on the front.

  • +1

Price in title is $69 but the website says $79

    • +1

Robot white version is still available for $69.95.

      • @TheFool Thankyou 👍🙂

  • I already have the wireless dongle for Windows, can I run a second controller off the one dongle or do they expect you to buy another one for every controller?

    • EDIT: I found out you can run multiple controllers off one dongle.
