Terms and Conditions

When does the promotion run?

The promotion runs from 00:00 (AEDT) on 15 February 2023 and ends on 11:59pm (AEDT) 28 February 2023 (“Promotion Period”).

Who is eligible for this Promotion?

"Eligible Sellers” means sellers registered on eBay.com.au who:

  • have Australia or New Zealand as their registered address on eBay; and
  • have an active eBay Plus membership; and
  • Eligible Sellers must activate the promotion in order to receive the promotion.

To activate this promotion, Eligible Sellers must have received an invitation to participate in this promotion and accepted these Terms and Conditions by either clicking “Accept offer” on the Terms and Conditions page or clicking “Get offer” under the “promotional offers” section of your My eBay account; and received confirmation from eBay that “you’ve accepted the offer”.

Once you have accepted the offer, the promotion will be automatically assigned to your account and will be visible within My eBay.
The invitation to participate in this promotion is not transferable or exchangeable.

For the avoidance of doubt, you will not receive the discount if the promotion was not activated in accordance with these terms.

What is the Promotion?

The Promotion entitles Eligible Sellers, who have activated this promotion in accordance with these terms, to 0% variable fees (which is a component of Final Value Fees as defined on eBay.com.au) on 3 sales per Promotion Period on Eligible Listings.

“Eligible Listings” means item listings that are:

  • newly listed on eBay.com.au during the Promotion Period (i.e. they cannot be relisted items through ‘Good ‘til Cancelled (GTC) or auto-renewal);
  • in multi-quantity or single quantity fixed price or auction format only; and
  • not listed in one of the Excluded Categories (as defined below).

The variable fees will be discounted directly from the eBay seller fees applicable to the Eligible Listings when they are sold.

This promotion only applies to the variable fees on Eligible Listings that are sold during the Promotion Period.

eBay reserves the right to cancel or change the offer at any time.

Items listed in the following categories are excluded from the Promotion (“Excluded Categories”):

  • Websites & Businesses for Sale (11759), Aircraft (63676), Boats (26429), Caravans, Motorhomes (32633), Cars (29690), Motorcycles (32073), Trucks, Commercial Vehicles (6049), Real Estate (10542), Services (316), Flights (3253), Tickets (1305), Travel (3252), Gift Cards (172009). These Excluded Categories are in addition to any listings or categories restricted by eBay's prohibited and restricted items policies.

  • The Promotion only applies to variable fees (a component of your Final Value Fees). For the avoidance of doubt, the Promotion does not apply to the $0.30 (incl GST) fixed order fee for non-store subscribers (or otherwise have registered for a tax exempt status with eBay) or $0.33 fixed order fee (incl GST) for store subscribers, fees for optional features or services (including Feature Fees), international selling fees or any other fees set out at eBay.com.au, as varied from time to time. See our help pages on Selling fees without an eBay Store, eBay Stores selling fees, eBay Stores fees for registered businesses, as applicable, for more information.

In a past month I sold it in the next month and still got it but I honestly wouldn't risk it. Ebay could change at any time

    • So I listed an item on 15th Feb (or 16th). I have the offer activated prior to that. I received an offer on 6th Mar which I'm quite happy to accept.

Does the 0% variable fee apply in this case?

      • Yes, it should - provided that you created a new listing on 15/16 Feb (or sell similar), and it wasn't a "Relist".

        • Thanks. Just accepted the offer and waiting for payment.

          • @ddhar: Let us know if it still works.. thanks

            • +2

@wils2k: Can confirm it worked. Only got charged 30c on the sale.

Funnily enough I have to confirm my bank account details via micro deposits. Not sure if I will have the funds in before the shipping due date (in two days time).

  • If its Mutiple Items (i.e. 03) in the same listing, will there be 0 Variable Fees if all 03 sell under 1 listing or have to be a seperate listing ?

    • +1

Can be under the 1 listing

I wonder if there’ll be an offer for March

    • Hoping so

    • Came here to ask the same

    • +3

3x free sendle came back today

  • I managed to use 6 on both my accounts. Sensational Ebay - now make it plus member exclusive.

    • so you mean six over two accounts

      • correct. Look, i didn't receive my NBA based on my english skills ok

        • +3

Was it based on your basketball skills?

  • Someone finally bought my item….12 hours after the deal expired BUT free Sendle postage saved me $25. Alright!

  • +1

Waiting for March… geez eBay like to keep us guessing

    • spot on, the free sendle postage isn't worth it once your item is over $100.

  • Just sold an item and had the promo apply. I can confirm that listing before and selling after the end date, and re-listing using 'sell similar' are still fine.

    • So..it still works? Just want to confirm, because I have a buyer that is offering me a fair price for my listing. Cheers

      • It did for me. I always see people with issues though, my rule of thumb would be if it worked for you in the past then you should be OK.

    • Also worked for me.
Do you mean relisting after the end date or before?

  • Still no word if there will be a 0% promotion for March?

  • +3

Spoke to an ebay chat rep and they said there will be another round of 0% variable fees promo for March. Not sure on exact date though.

  • I sold an item during this promotion and got charged fees. Ebay are now trying to claim I didn't activate the promotion as it's now not showing under my expired promotions (luckily I have browsing proof that I went to that link). Anyone else had it disappear from their expired promotions?

    • It has disappeared for me in the past if I didn't make any sales that month and it expired, but it would reappear if I made an eligible sale afterwards (listed before the expiry).
