LG 27GP850-B 27" 165Hz QHD UltraGear Gaming Monitor $559 + Delivery @ JB Hi-Fi

50

More a standard deal as opposed to the ATL of $497. Seems to be quite regular going by the last 6 months (was last on special less than a month ago but wasn't posted.) Normal price is around $699 give or take depending on the retailer. Should work out to be $531 if you can get an Officeworks price beat.

For people already get the Dell S2721DGF for the last 2 years with 350-450$ price, this is a bit expensive

it is slightly better than the Dell, that said, having the Dell for a while I have no complaints at all.

What makes this monitor almost twice as expensive as the $300 Samsung G5 that everyone seemed to be selling last year? Rtings rates them similar

Nothing does, just the LG logo. Honestly, this thing's a rip off at this price.

    • I think the one you linked is not the $300 one. 300 gets you VA panel not IPS and maybe FHD unless heavily discounted.

nothing wrong with the Samsung ( I guess ) but I cant find the IPS G5 QHD anywhere less than 500

Well he mentions last year so probably this deal

Item number is not the exact same, but that rtings link was being shared as "representative enough"

Specs in terms of refresh rate, IPS panel, resolution, HDR, are the exact same

There was also a slightly less rated Acer 27" 1440p for a bit under $300 in the same period

        • LG is always a bit more expensive, nothing wrong with the Samsung if you can find it at a good price even the VA model is great for movies and games. Acer is not as good according to the reviews (check hardware unboxed youtube) for why some are better than others

if you dont care, buy cheapest with good warranty of course
