when I bought these I didn't know I needed these… it was a want at the time. Now my ears are spoiled due to the sound quality these speakers deliver. I don't enjoy watching any sort of content anywhere else unless it's got a similarly night quality sound.

Im still waiting for my soundbar ordered 15th of Jan 23.
My TV only supports ARC, am I correct that if I have external devices (streaming device, HTPC) connected to this sound bar, I can still get proper atoms audio? Only the video will be transmitted through the HDMI cable to the TV, and still able to transmit 4K pictures? I guess it comes down that if 950a supports 4K (HDR?) pass through?

ps. I've got a CCw Google TV connected via the HDMI input in soundbar, HDMI ARC output to TV. Picture is 4k, sound Dolby Atmos (for apps that support it, netflix, disney+, HBO etc). My tv is a $700 Eko 4k 65" and it's all a great setup at a bargain price.

I am bewildered by the people who like this sound bar. I bought it for 860 the last time it showed up and I cannot stand them haha.
Would probably rather a 300 dollar set of stereo bookies. They just sound like tinny TV speakers but with a cheap sub that doesn't crossover properly.
For some reason I was led to believe that tiny drivers wouldn't sound like tiny drivers.
This one is much better than 860.

Mine's here, but pain in the neck process! I had to select a date at purchase, which I did based on my schedule. Then I get contacted and they change the date to one that was difficult - I said can only be there until 11 and they said ok. Then get a call on the morning from courier who says no way can be there before 2pm. I had to cancel and arrange another date. Seriously, if the date you choose initially won't be available why even bother with this process to begin with - adds to confusion and wastes everyone's time. Great sound bar though LOL!
not OOS… i just ordered 1. i was not able to use 15% code that was given through a promo email. however i was able to provide my TV serial number to them on chat and they gave me a 15% off code which worked, combined with $250 of points from my previous TV purchase (which i would probably never use), i got this for $468. i was actually in the market to buy some speakers to go with my amp, but i think this will be just much easier to live with.

No brainer to get the Q950A for that price. The Q990B is at least $1300 i assume (For those recommending it) and can't imagine it's light and day different.. much the same.

No, those are for the much lighter small wired rears (like the Samsung ones I got with my last setup).

@G-rig: Perfect. And do they need to fire forward or side or put ‘em on the ceiling facing down at an angle?
@boxall: Maybe search and see what people have done on the internet, or user manual (it shows them placed behind the listening position on an angle, but that's not always practical. Also some cheap brackets may be supplied but obviously not that great.
Mine are on stands angled in a bit at ear level. Think the speakers are in the front, top and outside.
@boxall: I got the mounting dream ones from Amazon - I think they've gone up in price a bit (but what hasn't). Got some money refunded from Amazon so worked out at $100 (one of the spikes where a bit faulty but very minor and asking if I wanted to return them, great support).

Called them straight yesterday and they advised that they dont have enough stock and no ETA for same. Told them it was available till next day online and I was the early one, unfortunately they couldnt do anything at all. Got the refund as well. Pretty disappointed with the way it went.
Cancelled also, absolutely gutted, poor form on the part of Samsung being so slow to communicate, like others they were allowing checkout for some time after my purchase, so there must be some disparity between the website and SOH.

@boxall: well everyone says 990b is clearly better than 950a, and reviewers say theres not much difference from 990b to 930b… so i would assume the 930b might be very similar in quality

930b - only one HDMI input. My Yamaha has 3 and the 950a had 2….these are important due to an older TV.

Ordered. In some ways there are a few advantages over the Q950a (except the price I was paying with $50 off and cash rewards):
No cloth on soundbar
Display at front
Slightly newer tech
Will certainly miss that extra HDMI port though. At least until I get a TV that has more 4K HDMI ports. Mine has a solitary one as one of them doesn't work anymore and the ARC port is not 4K!.

i ended up ordering a 930b cause i had around 250 in credit and i got 15% off through chat. it actually might be better than the 950A since its newer and very close to the 990b apparently.

Really hope ti arrives. I have my Q930b being setup right now. So far impressive. Just my older TV causing some issues.
The Q950A is an 11.1.4 setup released in 2021, whereas the Q930B is a 9.1.4 setup released in 2022. The Q930B reproduces more bass out-of-the-box, and it's better built. It doesn't get quite as loud as the Q950A, but that's likely not worth the extra price for most people.

I had a look at that rtings comparison too, doesn't really say anything much and the info is greyed out unless you sign up. Seems like fairly similar anyway I guess. The RRP seems like it's a lot less on the Q930B, but given you could get the Q950A for more than 50% off doesn't mean much (I wouldn't pay 2k, but cheaper soundbars for a few hundred are junk).
PS I wouldn't buy from Samsung anyway given how slow they are apparently - just look on eBay or the good guys etc
