HiKOKI C3607DA(SP1Z) 36V 2.5Ah Li-Ion Cordless Brushless MultiVolt 185mm Circular Saw Combo Kit $299 @ SydneyTools

170

This is a great price for the 36v saw, charger and a 5.0/2.5 amp multivolt battery.
Use this saw daily at work and can say its the best unit on the market currently with its power, light weight and accuracy.
All my makita buddies are converts once trying it.

Multivolt means runs as a 5amp in 18v tools or 2.5amp in 36v skins.

Have seen this deal before at $449 and $499 so $299 is an insane price for such a high quality tool.

How have I never heard or seen of this brand before?

It used to be called Hitachi.

Hitachi Koki / Metabo rebranded as Hikoki a while back. Metabo kit is still selling. I believe the batteries are cross compatible. I have a corded table saw and battery trim router from them - nice kit.

    • Hitachi Koki opened up a new chapter in October 2018 when the brand name Hitachi became HiKOKI. Pronounced “hai-koh-key,” HiKOKI is derived from the English word “high” and the Japanese term “koki,” meaning “industrial machines.”

This happened after the massive investment company KKR bought them in 2017 for $1.3b. KKR is looking to sell them now for about $2b. And the rich get richer!

  • 185mm …what use case requires this?

    • pretty stock standard small diameter saw. ? cut timber, rip sheets ?

  • Fantastic price.
    Ordered.

  • Any idea what the SP1Z refers to? Looks like another version has H4Z instead…..

    • By the thumbnail, kit vs skin. You can confirm

  • Perfect accessory for my nail gun. Nail the zombie down then cut them up.

    • chainsaw would be better suited

  • Hmm, right blade saw.
