      Kinda hoping for 90% off.
Like that magic time last year. What a day.

I missed out then, so hoping for a repeat, if ever.

to be fair, the S3423DWC is almost 50% off compared to what they had it listed as some months ago. The monitor is decent but the RRP was like $1200 in July-ish last year. Good that they dropped the price because it isn't worth $1200.

      • Still a screen I recommend - the USBc charging and the switching HUB is great. - especially if you flip between laptop and desktop devices.

    • awesome, thanks!

  • Any views on U3821DW or LG 38wn95c-w. LG seems like a better panel however build quality better here?

    • I've had the LG for around 2 months now and no issues. It's been great for gaming and work.

      • the LG has thunderbolt, seems the Dell does not

    • 1440 vs 1600 vertically.

Not a good price for Alienware 410k: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/715955

S3423DWC is regularly $599, and refurb around $480. None of these prices are good deals, as pointed out by above comments too

    • You mean last year July? Back in the days where you could get a 4k 27" Type-C monitor for ~340? I miss those days too, but today it is a pretty good (not incredible) price for the S3423DWC.

And you can't compare with refurb pricing.

      • Nah, someone got a price of $597 in Jan. Check @chris172 's comment here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/750644

It's definitely possible to get for sub 6 hundo in 2023. Just added reburb pricing as an extra, because some people will happily save $170 for a refurb

        • That's a negotiated price, which doesn't count on Ozbargain. Helpful to know, and it may work for some, but not really a benchmark.

Especially if you need to order a large quantity, online chat won't deal with you. They'll force you to go through an account manager, who will offer you prices even higher than the website. Been through horrible ordeals with Dell.

I wouldn't go for an ex-repair used monitor to save $70. If it was listed "as new", then yes, but not actual refurbished.
