Except that's not even slightly true.

    • Fauci is actually science. An attack on Anthony Fauci is an attack on science. I love science.

  • +12

So many brainwashed jab zombies still.
    Sad.

    • +4

      brainwashed jab zombies still

      What does that even mean?

Is that the opposite to what RFK Jr is?

  • +11

Waste of space on the drive!

  • +16

If you'd like a book about the problems with corruption in the US medical establishment and particularly big pharma (which is definitely a big problem), I'd recommend
    https://www.amazon.com/Sickening-Pharma-American-Health-Repa…

This 'deal' is the kinda trash I'd not recommend.

  • +9

Enjoying watching the cycle of others feeling marginalised and doubling down on their beliefs. Deal gets an upvote from me. The book however..

    • +2

You know we can see that you Neg'd the deal, right? LOL

  • +9

Someone needs to write a book about the Real Robert F kennedy Jr.

    • +2

The real conspiracy is that he faked his assassination and then re-emerged with a slightly different name

      • +2

I’m done being afraid, I’m just gonna say it.

There was no shooter, his head just did that!

  • +6

Isn't Anthony fauci the highest paid government official?

    • +10

Yes.. and his wife is meant to be the Head of bioethics … lol.. can't make it up..

      • +4

And his daughter worked at Twitter

      • +4

Or could he make up anything about anything and write books on it? Freedom of speech and all? Who cares because Anthony Fauci's real name is George Santos. Remember the time he saved the earth from aliens?

        • +1

That’s not aliens, that’s just the Jewish space laser

    • Maybe in the US federal government but that’s mostly a representation of how low they pay federal officials vs the private health sector in the US. But there are many many state officials paid more. Shitty job, who’d take it over a private medical job, less pay, more death threats. You’d have to be pretty selfless.

  • +9

BuT he DiD hiS oWN ReSEarCh!

    • +8

He must have done some intense Newsmax research on the subject.

  • +2

  • +3

    Who?

  • +8

    guy is nuts

  • +8

Still not getting it. The clot shot.

    • +23

I really doubt that anyone cares that you haven't had the vaccine at this point. However, you've very clearly made it part of your personality.

      • +5

        Thanks for your reply.

        • +5

No worries. Anytime for you KernelPanic.

    • +1

      Cool story bro

  • +6

    Garbage book

    • +8

Have you read it? Or just making assumptions

  • +10

Anti-Vaccine propaganda and conspiracy theories. Writer's background here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_F._Kennedy_Jr.
    Complete waste of time!

  • +9

I think some people are so hooked on the free covid vaccines paid by our tax dollars thinking they are getting a bargain but can not see that the free books are actually the real bargain.

    • +6

The vaccine proven to reduce Covid mortality by 20x or the book of proven lies from a guy whose whole career has been selling books of lies and tickets to hear him speak them? Hmm tough decision. Maybe I’ll check what someone else selling a similar book thinks…,

  • +15

Had to stop reading the comments… (profanity) some people are idiots.

  • +9

    Another anti-Vax covidiot.

  • +14

I think this is a kind of deal that people who upvoted must give a valid reason for their (positive) votes.

      • +9

I’m a researcher/scientist. Haven't you believed that I would trust any type of information source thrown at me? No thanks.

        • +2

There's no doubt that the organisation that Fauci was in charge of - the NIH - funded Gain of Function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. No the slightest doubt in the world. Financial records and paper trails prove it.

And no one seriously doubts that the covid virus was man-made and escaped from the WIV. Shari Markson did a pretty conclusive documentary on it.
Even my Cardiologist - the one I have to see and pay for out of my own pocket because the covid vaccine gave me myocarditis (Cardiologists are not cheap…) - even he told me that the virus certainly came from the WIV, not the wet market.

Now - if Fauci unethically funded the research that inadvertently caused the pandemic, why shouldn't he be jailed for that crime?
And it has been proven categorically that he did fund the research that inadvertently caused the pandemic.
You may be a researcher or a scientist, but you're not an investigative journalist, or a cop, or a lawyer or a Judge. Or a Medical Doctor. Or a cardiologist. You're just a guy with an opinion, my guy. (in this case, an incorrect opinion).

          • +4

@Gamer Dad Reviews: My apology, but what was my opinion? How could an opinion be considered either correct or incorrect?

Yes, I'm just a poor scientist who's working hard to collect data and evidence, read hundreds of scientific papers, and test a hypothesis multiple times in order to actually claim something either true or false. The procedure for publishing a scientific paper in a good journal is under highly rigorous rounds of double-blinded reviews. All that stuff is just to claim something really small either true or false.

Yes again. I'm a scientist, and I'm just a guy who is not allowed to raise his opinion based on his expertise. However, some random gaming guys can confidently claim a global issue with statements beginning with "no doubt", "no the slightest doubt"… Can you statistically prove your statements in a scientific, not pseudo-scientific, way?

            • @plank89: Dude - I provided you with a link which reported on the unbiased watchdog's official findings from a leftist, a centrist, and a rightist viewpoint. But you pompously claimed you're above reading the actual evidence.
It has been proven that NIH and the EcoHealth alliance (Fauci's organisations) funded Gain of Function research on the coronavirus in the Wuhan Institute of Virology. That is a known fact. All your pompous bluster is just to hide the fact that you are ignorant.

              • +2

@Gamer Dad Reviews: My apology for being ignorant. Honestly, I’ve just realised that discussing something with idiots is wasting my time. They don't have enough level of education to fully understand how basic scientific arguments should be structured. Have a lovely day!

              • +1

@Gamer Dad Reviews: Even if they did, what exactly is your point? That critical virus research shouldn't be conducted? As you know, the virus outbreak almost certainly did NOT come from the Wuhan lab.

    • +11

They are just trolling not realizing that there are some crazies that will see this as a validation of their beliefs. I believe as a society we do not call enough people "stupid" anymore and they find online echo chambers of people that validate stupidity. Then there are people that just see this as an opportunity to make some money so they feed the stupids more lies fully knowing they are lies.

      • +6

Yeah. It's actually much worse in developing and underdeveloped countries where people are struggling to access a standard level of education. In fact, they would trust any information validated by crazies calling themselves “doctors”, “scientists”, or “researchers”. Finally, these lies have formed some kind of beliefs and somehow gained a validity of a majority of the population.

        • +4

Sounds like you just described religion.

        • -2

The funny thing is - covid has disappeared from undeveloped countries in Africa.
Meanwhile covid just keeps spreading more and more in Western developed countries, lol.
Are you really as smart as you think you are? You seem about as smart as a plank tbh…

          • +2

@Gamer Dad Reviews: “ The funny thing is - covid has disappeared from undeveloped countries in Africa.” - claimed an idiot on the Internet

“A total of 20,552 new cases were recorded in the first three weeks of January 2023… despite an uptick in cases in South Africa, Tunisia and Zambia over the past two weeks” - sourced from WHO.

I am lazy now. Please don't reply to my comments anymore. It's wasting my time. My last honest advice is if you have kids, please send them to good schools. They will highly appreciate it later.

          • +1

@Gamer Dad Reviews: The funny thing is - to date science doesn't know why some people have natural immunity to covid while others are highly susceptible. Why is covid spreading in developed countries -because with large proportions of people vaccinated we're treating it as we do influenza and many people with symptoms are circulating in their communities. It's still a killer, but far better controlled.

    • I’m not sure why. I’m assuming you believe that it’s not ok for people to think differently to you, and so therefore anyone that does has to have a valid reason? I think there’s a word for people like that.

  • +9

Cookers can get their fix of BS on FB or Twitter already in less time than reading a whole book.

Either way BS has no value. No deal

  • +9

    Brilliant! Thank you OP!

  • +6

This guy is a total looney. I've seen his stuff online before and it's total tripe. Not even original tripe. If he was throwing out new theories I'd at least have my curiosity piqued. But his work is pure twitter-level garbage meme conspiracy quality.

    • +3

Ironically when they traced the source of most of these proven false conspiracies he is the source a lot of the time (~10% I think). They just get amplified by others so much he looks unoriginal, but he is in fact patient 0 for many of the vaccine cookers, it’s been his job for >20 years to be anti vaccine for each vaccine before it’s even developed! Books to sell, appearance fees to collect. No money in being right, too common.

      • +1

Bloody hell that's a lot of words to not say very much. I've read his tweets from the source, I've watched his videos from the source. I've concluded it's mostly unfactual, evidence-lacking, emotionally-charged conspiracy-laden bulldust. He loves to make accusations and insinuations that can't be verified. That's how he hooks people who are seeking a conspiratorial explanation for their questions.

        • -1

Most people operate in this way… are they all looney as well?

Your harsh judgment of another who you don't know and really when it comes down to it is standing up for what he believes in and trying to HELP (even if wrong) speaks more about yourself than anything else. Because if you truly think you can better the world by judging this person or that as loony, welll I hate to say it… it isn't a healthy mental state to be putting out there even if it is the "cultural norm".

          • -1

@DrDelusion: Came back to comment on this account after your other account was closed down, hey. Alright, I'll humour you.

I disagree most people operate in this way when it comes to matters of serious concern. Most people don't go out spreading mistruths about important public health information. Most people don't allege government conspiracies when it comes to a pandemic that killed millions. He may believe what he says, but that doesn't absolve him of guilt or wrongdoing. Thinking you're doing the right thing when you're wrong does not, in fact, let you off the hook.

I call the author a looney because he is. His ideas are lunacy. He is a lunatic. He preys on fear, misunderstanding and uncertainty to make a quick buck. His claims are verifiably false, yet he continues to spread them. He actively creates misinformation and promotes it for profit. It takes no more than a couple of minutes of honest reading of his material to recognise that this is a person with a clear political agenda. It takes even less time to look at his credentials and his past to see that he isn't to be trusted.

  • +1

Finally someone down voted more then Gerry at Harvey Norman!

  • +14

Misleading. Book should be in the comedy or fiction category, not Biographies & Memoirs.

    • But it is about him - his thoughts and beliefs… Do you want him to lie in order to help people like yourself feel better about life? Should we put your life in the comedy section because others may not agree with it?

      • +1

        But it is about him

So the author is the real Anthony Fauci?

        his thoughts and beliefs

Presented as facts for the sheep.

Do you want him to lie in order to help people like yourself feel better about life?

Funny. It's exactly what he has done, he's one step ahead of you, it just you can't see it or don't want to see it.

Why don't he write a book on his opinion on why water is or isnt H2O.

        Edit:

        thoughts and beliefs

        Sounds like a religion.

  • +14

    This is OzBargain, not OzCooker

    • +6

      Cry louder

      • +9

Says the one throwing a tantrum because people take the words of medical professionals more seriously than some nut job with a track record of pure stupidity.

    • That's funny, I thought the bargains are COOKING us according to "the science of climate change"?

I guess we/the authorities/the world order who desperately had to get something into ALL (we don't quite know what due to patents) just ignore "that science" as it suits?

And what is it with this new "Cooker Label" anyway, and who or what has conditioned it into your minds as the latest generalized derogatory insult to try and police and control people, discussions and debates when anyone questions authority and their contradictory application of science?

Do you really think it is the sane, sensible, unbaked and caring way of treating others with differing beliefs, even if they're possibly deluded which at some level we all are?

(Note - MODS - you've banned this comment from my partner for ghosting, which I'm not sure if your policy is 1 account per/houshold, but if it isn't then how do different people from the same houshold on different computers take part?

  • +14

Ozbargain shouldn't be a place for Anti-vaxxers or conspiracy theorists/extremists.

    • +5

Well what's your name. Anthony Fascist

    • +6

Sounds a bit like fascism to me? I don't like it so ban it

      • +2

If it were to happen it would be a private company doing what they’re free to do

    • +1

It is though. It’s encouraged and people that take them on are banned enough they leave.

    • Conspiracy Theorists…

Your whole 2-party political system is based around two alternate versions of reality and the Left misleading and conspiring against the Right and vice versa… along with people believing in that while never pushing for its growth?
Now look at the degraded, devalued and highly imbalanced and unsustainable world that’s produced, and you want to CENSOR the people that disagree with and want to upgrade it?

      Anti-Vaxxers…

Have you had all your latest jab for everything known to man, as MOST haven’t, why the MAJORITY don’t even want the latest Covid Booster so I guess by your definition they’re all ANTI-Vaxxers?

      Extremists…

Is any mind-set that exists through its corrupted conditioning and continues to believe in and use derogatory labels to describe the situation on planet earth… You know the type that claims to be PRO-SCIENCE while consuming themselves to death while the science says we’ve only got 10years to live.
The truth is, we live in the land of the extremes whether economically (how’s those interest rates going?), mentally (ignorance/delusions/dysfunction/cognitive bias/dissonance all at record levels) or physical (obesity/stress epidemic) etc.

So I ask you – WHY do you accept all of the above while taking issue just with these little groups of your disliking?

      • Your whole 2-party political system is based around two alternate versions of reality and the Left misleading and conspiring against the Right and vice versa… along with people believing in that while never pushing for its growth?

"Your"? Clearly your expertise doesn't cover politics in this country, nor do you have any relevant adult experience of how it operates.

Now look at the degraded, devalued and highly imbalanced and unsustainable world that’s produced, and you want to CENSOR the people that disagree with and want to upgrade it?

As a motherhood statement that's quite something. Political pundits might say that the two (major) party system has some significant drawbacks yet despite that our governments have generally - with a couple of major exceptions - done okay compared to many other western nations. Politics requires consensus, conviction, and compromise. It's populated with (with some exceptions) by imperfect people with varied experiences, knowledge, expertise, achievements and goals.

Can you be more specific? Who are these people who disagree with "it", what "upgrades" do they want, and how do they expect to achieve same? We've just had a fed election where moderate liberals took the seats of an incompetent (arguably incorrupt and anti-democratic) conservative government via the ballot box. Is there a better way oh guru?

So I ask you – WHY do you accept all of the above while taking issue just with these little groups of your disliking?

How do you know what he/she thinks about any other issue. This discussion is fairly specific, if you want an opinion on any of the many other issues confronting people in this nation then you'll need to ask.

You write as though you are a perfectly balanced person with wisdom and values beyond compare, yet you are naive in the extreme about what glues societies together, what motivates people, why people draw lines in the sand over cultivated ignorance and conspiracy, and why consensus and skeptical acceptance of science and expert knowledge is important,

So I ask you - did your education fail you or are you in the process of failing it?

  • +3

Ohh I love science… And Anthony Fauci IS science. Thanks OP.

  • +9

i get the hate for this. it's nothing but a delusion to make idiots feel smarter. however, i don't see how it's any worse than the grand delusion. both have cost countless lives

    • Hate for something you disagree with, why? There is no reason to hate anything in life… especially others thoughts or beliefs.

It harms people you might say, wello yes it might… but then so does the MSM, wealth inequality, record house prices, record hospital ramping, insert in numerous serious cultural issues here… do you hate the powers that be for creating or allowing such things, or what about the masses who uphold, comply to and thus perpetuate such things without question?

I ask you, does ignorance hate the truth hence why it remains ignorant?

If we merely travel through life with this mind-set of hating that which we perceive different while not looking to upgrade that ignorance within, we are simply hurting ourselves… and make no doubt about it, that is the dominant mind-set in modern culture due to how it’s being programmed. (ie. Everything is distracting and priming your mind to look at the issues out there but never within, for that is how it all works)

And that is provable by the nature of the comments section, as how many are truly looking for their own growth or promoting such things from others? Many… Any? And there it is, the indisputable truth about all as they’re looking to control the discussion, situation and society.

      • Hate for something you disagree with, why? There is no reason to hate anything in life… especially others thoughts or beliefs.

The word hate is not used as it once was, but moving on…..

Your education taught you that? Seriously? No need for me to elaborate beyond pointing out the obvious - that as history has taught most of us - not you it seems - some thoughts and beliefs ought not to be tolerated because they can and do (in some cases) lead to devastating acts, Christchurch massacre ring any bells for example?

I'll skip over the rest of the waffle to your final opinion.

And there it is, the indisputable truth about all as they’re looking to control the discussion, situation and society.

You're overthinking and exaggerating again. People are expressing opinions on a deals website, and none of what is written here will ever control anything for the vast majority of contributors. Nor do most of us have the power to influence society, let alone control it. I may be wrong - often am - but your comments remind me of the need to be aware of charlatans and wolves in sheep's clothing.

Imagine if the metaverse is well constructed, my avatar will eventually find out what to use to digitally wipe his damn butt.

  • +9

Political culture wars spam for a 'product' that is free pretty much every second week.

  • +3

If only there was a time in OzBs history where political debates were shafted by an e-book…

  • +12

    Misinfo is not a deal.

  • +4

Hahaha love that Ozbargain shows who have upvoted this post :) Great way to weed out them cookers. What a fun bunch of people.

  • +10

Goodness, who knew so many otherwise-sensible ozbargainers believe this claptrap?

  • +6

It's free. That's a bargain in my book. I can't stand that people insist on infusing their politics into everything. Go to redit. Leave ozbargain to ozbargaining!

    • +4

lol, 'i can't stand the people who infuse their politics into everything'

do you mean the author? only an idiot would treat a vaccination as a political act

  • +4

Upvoting for the 🍿🍿. Was a good laugh.

  • +7

This is a it a deal, this is propaganda.

    • -1

Isn't the whole capitalistic world around you built up from propaganda in order to get you to think/feel/be/act in certain ways and I don't know, BUY things you don't need? So what's the issue given it's the ruling ethos of culture?

      • +2

You're not a sheep. You're special. Just like everyone else.

        • Studied 'The Science of Corruption', mastered in simplistic twaddle. Should have studied 'The Corruption of Science' and 'Clear Writing'. Hard to believe the amount of hypocritical, pseudo-intellectual bumf one person can generate on a single deal.

  • +6

The price is still too high. A well recognised public health official that only had his nation's health in mind has been constantly slandered for 3 years now. I put this post right next to the right wing nut jobs that still go and protest about lock downs.

  • +6

Let’s do this OzBargainers! Most downvotes ever! Robert F Kennedy Jr. is a dangerous moron spreading misinformation and $0 doesn’t come close to the negative impact in health and dollars his BS has had on the world. He’s one of many but that initial and last name somehow gives him a louder voice with unwanted credibility.

  • +5

omg! i thought only youtube suggestions get polluted! why is there an oz-consipiracy side in ozbargain? i need to get back! what was the last deal I clicked?! wtf! get me back!

  • +2

I came here just to read the comments. Now I am leaving 👋

  • +9

Spreading misinformation is a net negative and costs society money - therefore, even if free, is not a deal.

  • +9

    cooker claptrap

  • +8

lol it is eye opening to see how many idiots are on this site

they'd have to pay me to read this crap and even then it'd have to be a fair amount to be a bargain

    neg

to be clear: neg for misinformation and poor value

    • +1

What you mean to say is “beg for being about something I don’t believe”. What’s so bad about a book you don’t agree with. Has anyone stopped to ask themselves why this sort of content gets them so worked up? Do you jump on any other post about things you don’t believe in or care about and beg it? I bet you don’t. So ask yourself, why this? Why so bothered if you don’t believe it? But don’t just start on your high horse, really truly ask yourself.

      • +6

Lol no, it's not that I don't believe it friend. It's that I'm educated enough to understand that it is based on false premise and misunderstanding. There's a difference between not believing what you're told and knowing that it's factually inaccurate.

Not so long ago a vaccination wasn't so controversial. We listened to the TGA and we all got on with our lives. Now apparently they're all lying to us. Jenny Mcarthy told us the MMR vaccine gave her kid autism and suddenly it didn't matter what your GP with 40 years experience told you. The premise of this book, that Anthony Fauci is somehow a sinister character who has tricked the world into taking an unsafe vaccine is just…absurd (I say this based on total assumption as I'm not really interested in engaging with the topic after judging it based on its title and cover, make of it what you will)

There's nothing of value here. And yeah, I neg what they'll let me get away with. Primarily fkkking 'subs' posts and this conspiracy shyte.
