Just came across this deal about charging cable on techunion which is USB C Charging cable for $2.95 (original price $19.95) so roughly 85% discount…. Shipping is free in Sydney.

There seems to be flash sale going on with many other products on sale as well.

high output charging (up to 3A)

Nah thanks I'm good. Coupled with the USB-A connection can kinda see how it got its price.

Well, AliExpress is not local store so sure if someone want to wait for the shipping than they can use AliExpress and give out their credit card details to AliExpress but I won't anymore.

I used to order through AliExpress but I find eBay or Amazon or local store with few extra $$ much better than AliExpress.

      • Mainly pointing out the important USB-A to USB-C information missing from Deal Title at that time: 3sixt USB C Charging Cable

        My 88c delivered purchase:
Not a low power USB-A that don't want.
        Has handy meter showing current.
        Much lower price including delivery.

Never had any problem with AliExpress orders
It's just a spare, so in no rush.

check out kogan's USB-IF certified C-to-A cables. They're around the same price, and because of hte certification, almost certainly of higher quality.
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/usb-type-c-to-type-a-cable-if-c…

    also available in 3m.
3 pack for $10 or so.

    • why buy 3 when i only need 1 ? :D :) (I wish OZB allow emojis )

      • because you get a superior cable for similar price per unit. it's not a deal to buy 1 for $3 if the 1 you buy stops working shortly after purchase.

        • how do you know it's going to stop working ? i buy many products and sometime electronic item do stop working but doesn't mean i don't buy them… !

regarding technical spec honestly i have no idea which one is better or superior … so please check yourself.

          • @SydBoy: USB-IF certification is the gold standard in usb cables. You can verify by checking the r/UsbCHardware subreddit. I'm just being objective here, not attacking you personally or anything.

If there are two similarly priced cables, and one is USB-IF certified, I would ALWAYS choose the USB-IF certified one.

That's just me. I won't engage any further.

            • @grumblerain: Thanks for sharing technical spec difference you know. I was not in disagreement with you on technical spec as I personally don't know about it.

For my charging cable is charging cable and preferred to get one delivered free then paying membership fees like Kogan and also prefer to try one and see how it goes before I order more.

        • by the way is KOGAN giving out free shipping or you need membership to get free shipping ?

    • Kogan is $9.99. How is it "around the same price"?
