Same price to apple refurbished store

Great price and a good choice for those wanting a Macbook, especially since the M2 Pro isn't that big a leap over the M1.

  • Great price but should I wait for M2 Air 15 inch?

    • +7

This would definitely be a better choice, unless you really need a 1 inch bigger screen(inferior panel).
The regular 13 inch m2 air specced up to try and match this m1 pro model is already ~$2.6k.. so you can imagine the 15 inch would be like nearly 3k.

      • That's the exact M2 Air I bought, using the Everyday Rewards offer, but would have chosen this, at this price. The SD card slot alone would have been enough to tip the balance, for my photographically-minded wife.

  • damn that's a great price. I got mine for around $2600 from AOC and definitely recommend it. At this price it's a no brainer

    • prob got ozbargained.. on the thumbnail it says 'in store only' but the page doesn't load :-/

Amazon and OW has same price.

  • I bought few weeks before, any chance for jbhifi to pay the price difference? Thanks.

    • Yep. Done that before with previous laptops.

      • Okay I went today but they have declined as my purchase was more than 4-5 weeks old. They didn’t refund the balance but via online support they are saying to reach out again l. Anyone has successfully claimed like 2-3 months old price difference

I should have got this instead of my $1700 M1 MBP. I should have waited for the Pro and Max models :(

    • +1

Wait with that should've/could've/would've till next models arrive.

Bought from Black Friday sales and used all gift cards which ended up the same price….but didn’t picked up until January due to no stock, and now it is even cheaper without gift cards… damn

  • +2

will apply drop their refurb price too?

    • I hope so, was just about to buy it from there, but this is even cheaper. Best is cashback from Amazon.

    OOS? Page doesn't exist anymore.

    "soled out."…lol

  • Still in stock if your looking for it.

  • Should I get this or the 2022 M2 Pro base model (10 CPU, 16 GPU)?
Just looking to do some Adobe Lightroom + Premiere work.

    • There would be an increase in performance, but is it something that you'll notice without comparing them side by side? I'd say unlikely. FYI, the Apple AOC store is slightly cheaper on the M2 Pro than with the 10% off at JB, unless you have gift cards you want to use!

  • Those that bought one around Christmas time with a credit card might be able to put in a price protection claim using officeworks’ price.
A lot of the premium credit cards have 90 day protection, so read your PDS’ and make a claim if you meet the requirements.

  • Anyone managed to still order from Jb?

It's not actually sold out, they just removed it from their website when officeworks dropped it to this price. Same thing they did when officeworks knocked over $500 off their iphone 13 pro max range.

I expect nothing less from this unethical, disgusting excuse of a business.

    • +2

Yeah I think they did that so they don’t need to honour price matching

      • +2

Exactly. They've done it many times when Apple products have dropped below cost. It's dodgy as f***.

  • dammit - only came into the market for one of these yesterday and just missed this deal

anyone seen it anywhere else - or thoughts on this reappearing somewhere?

wondering if this is the last of the m1 mbp stock or if the deal will pop up again somewhere….

    • Same here, checked it yesterday and it went back to $2547
