[QLD] Ingham's 3kg Breast Fillets Carton (30x 100g Portions) $25 @ Ingham's Lytton Factory Outlet

360

Open to the Public, the Ingham's Factory Outlet offers both fresh and frozen chicken and turkey products. The outlet is located in Lytton Queensland off the Port of Brisbane Motorway (near the Gateway Bridge). The address is 86 Trade Street, Lytton QLD‎ . It's open weekdays · 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, parking is easy.

There is a really good buy most days, while stocks last. The best buy is posted on their Facebook page the afternoon before - https://www.facebook.com/InghamsLyttonFactoryOutlet. The staff are very friendly and provide a folder, at the counter, setting out all the offers available on the day.

The outlet usually doesn't offer "one-off specials" however the prices of certain items, when available from time-to-time, are great, especially for anyone looking for a bargain.

I personally have found the quality to be very good equal to, or better than, normal (more expensive) supermarket offerings.

$8.30/kg breast , yet why is everyone else pumping prices on chicken shortage ?

Is this because of storage overload from logistics problem with scotts truckers transport collapse ?

Needless to say, I avoid Coles and Woolworths especially given their sky-high profits reported within the last week or so.

May I suggest a book for you called Das Kapital

Nothing to do with transport constraints. More to do with forward contracts and supply arrangements.

Poultry is produced to exact specifications (weight, age, fat %). It's an absolute science.

Exact spec poultry is committed to clients who are otherwise impacted by a significant number of strains of AI in a number of key poultry markets, so the Aus supply chain is pumping out supply as best we can to make up the shortfall from those countries who are suspended from poultry exports due to AI.

      Thus the limited domestic supply.

The reason you can still buy from the likes of Inghams at a decent price is because they don't need to do exact spec supply. Not to say you're buying second tier poultry, but they can consolidate a lot of the over and underrun supply of other orders, put it in a box, and you won't care. But their customers and clients would, as it wouldn't be to the exact spec required.

      Hope that makes sense.

Exactly right. Have to reiterate these are not second grade, just not what Colesworth wants. Could be they are slightly too big, too light or cut in a shape they don't like.

        • No, that is not the case here.
Look at their FB page, they are consistently running this deal.

This is not a one of special

I remember a rumor when this outlet first opened that they got in strife for selling to the public cheaper than their wholesale to ColesWorth… obviously they don't do it as cheap anymore :/
