Can utilize Amex Offer if ordered directly from Sony. $100 cashback for $500 spent.

    • Yes that too 👍

    • Too bad you can’t split payments $500 block even if you got two Amex cards

  • This one or the Samsung Q60B? Samsung is QLED. Anyone know how QLED and Sony Bravia LED compare?

    • +4

If you're ordering directly from the manufacturer then avoid Samsung. Last time I ordered a TV which will remain the last time, it took AGES to come. Also, check out rtings.com to get a good comparison.

    • +3

Q60 is a few levels below this. X90 is close to Q90

    • This one or the Samsung Q60B?

The Samsung is a Samsung, so go the Sony

No deal on the 85 inch
    My Mrs will be disappointed

      Big holes need big shovels.

100% I've only got an ice pick

    • +1

Passed on an Sony 85" deal 2 years back thinking another one would come up……lesson learnt

      • +1

Yep same here! Our time will come

    • +3

Depends on what you constitute a deal. It's currently dropped to the best price I've seen being $2807.25 via eBay with code. $2755.40 from Sony website with CR.

Best price was $3756 earlier in the month.

I almost pulled the trigger last week with $3,325.50 price matched - 12% CR - $100 Amex
      = $2,826 (CR wasn't even guaranteed).

Glad I didn't buy then. Looks like prices are indeed coming down for the mid year showdown.

    • 85" XR90K is currently $2955 at Sony website with free delivery, plus 8% cashreward and $100 Amex discount.

  • Great price. Got the 65" for the same price as the 75" in this deal. I thought it would never drop to this level.

  • +1

Oh what the hell. Went ahead and bought it.

    This or the tcl u835

    • +1

TCL 75" C835 4K Full Array Mini LED QLED

  • +1

Great price for the 75 inch

  • Really tempted, but so far I've been leaning towards the C835.

    • +1

I have the Sony 75inch x90J and k is not really that different.
TCL C835 Is better, more dimming zones higher refresh rate 144hz. Just better.

New 2023 Sony TVs will showcase later this month so they’re clearing out old 2021 stock.

    • +3

2023 TV's have been announced already:
      https://www.channelnews.com.au/finally-new-sony-2023-tv-rang…

The ones on sale here are 2022 models.

      • +1

Thanks, didn’t know it was released already. 👍

    • Any benefits over these ones?

      • +1

I think they are more developing QD-OLED now, OLED is old tech now.

        • -1

How is QD- oled better ?

          • @andrew229: Probably clearer. Sony A95K - if you go in shop and compare the TVs you’ll be able to see the difference. 😅

Well I just received the X90K 65" today purchased as a ‘damaged box’ from Sony eBay on the weekend, and lo and behold the screen is damaged. I had seen the reports of it happening before so recorded the opening of it, but still can’t believe my luck. Fingers crossed I don’t get stuffed around.

    • +2

Got one box damaged 65 X90K not two weeks ago too for 1565. Has been good so far. The box only has one small hole in it. Hope your claim process is smooth.

    • +1

Good luck. You should post back here once resolved. Information on warranty claims is always helpful. When I bought my Sony from Harvey Norman the sales guy said warranty claims through Sony are a nightmare. Didn't give me much confidence in Sony but bought it anyway.

      • Return of tv was accepted pretty much straightaway on evidence supplied (photos plus I mentioned I took a video recording of box being opened).
The next stage was the most frustrating, waiting 2 weeks for courier to be organised, don’t know who the fault lay with but was pretty annoying waiting and waiting.
Once courier collected the TV and scanned it for tracking, I was able to reply back to Sony to confirm this and refund was actioned.
Would I purchase directly from Sony again, NEVER.

        • Thanks for the update on the refund. That's great you ended up getting it.

I do like my Sony 75inch x90J but I won't be buying another Sony after this one. Next TV for me will be TCL C835 model equivalent in a couple of years.

  • +1

That's crazy pricing on the 75

  • Great price, bought in November and happy with purchase

  • So tempted to replace our 75X90F TV that doesn't support VRR or 120fps. What to doooooo!

  • +3

Thank you 28 Degrees Price Protection

    • This is the way.

    • With all these sales, I'm wondering which seller is best to buy from to utilise a possible future price protection on? Which seller is more likely to drop in price and have stock? JB? HN? GG? Sony? Sony Ebay?

      • Doesn't matter with 28 degrees, you can match with any other Australian retailer. Otherwise I am not sure.

  • How would I know if I have the amex offer. I have an amex and I always accept all the benefits I would remotely use. But when I look at my benefits on amex app I don't see ila.sony offer.

Also does anyone know how flexible Sony ebay are with delivery days. Could I say this day don't deliver as no one home to get it but other days are fine?

    TIA

    • +1

They dispatch to DHL then you have all freedom of when to receive it. This was my experience in end January. We were moving home DHL even offered redirecting to new address although same difficulty at the time thus just picked my favourite date to deliver to original address. 100% satisfied.

  • +1

Got the 75x90j a year ago for the same great price. Great tv!

  • Hmm. I had the Sony amex offer but it expired in December

    • there is a new offer spend $500 and get $100 back

  • How quick are their dispatch after ordering are they quicker than the retail stores. Any input would be great.

  • This or the A80J 55" Bravia XR OLED?

    • +2

      size DOES matter!

  • +1

This or the Samsung The Frame….

    • +1

      This in this comparison.

  • this or the qn85b?can't seem to find many side by side reviews

    • +1

Just Google qn85b vs x90k rtings. The Sammy is rated slightly higher

      • +1

But warranty and after sales service…. Samsung is crap on that part. Had old Sammy dies after 7 years. Sony 13 years still going

      • +1

It’s good if you don’t need Dolby Vision, otherwise stick to Sony. Samsung service sorry needs a reality check.

  • This or samsung 65 inch q70b? Can you pls advise. Thanks

  • +2

    This or That

    • +2

Go with this. That isn't as good for many reasons.

  • Bought Sammy q80b 85 during damaged box sale with delivery on April, soukd I cancel and get this instead?

  • You need a pretty long bench for the 75" @ 138CM between the stand legs. Most TV Cabinets don't have that width and very close to the edge. TCL and LG is better on that part. Unless you want to wall mount or you live in a new apartment already there for you enclosed to the wall

  • Sony has the google TV built in, I hate that platform to an extent that I never used Apple products before apart from iPad when it just came out and I decided to buy Apple TV which is superior I used to be a big fan of Android TV but the google TV interface is just distracting and full of ads, choppy and slow compared to other platforms, otherwise the TV price is not bad.

  • can anyone please advise the code i can use on ebay for the 65 x90k can’t seem to get any to work

  • +1

Thanks OP, purchased the 65" Version!

  • Pages aren't loading any more? Looks like the listings have been pulled. RIP.

    • lol … working here

      • They are now. They weren't when I posted. Went to an "oops something went wrong" page.

        • maybe stock is slowing up!

I can’t work out which code to use for the 65”

  • Sony Store already $1995 but not sure if they will price match eBay plus membership. But honestly full array led is not as good as OLED

    • Link to where I can get a 75" OLED for $1895.25 delivered?

      • Try pricematch with Sony see what they say

        • Pretty sure they wouldn't even respond

  • Sony online pricing seems to be stuffed - showing $2500 when you add to cart - eBay is still showing $1995.
eBay with targetted code seems cheaper now

  • Can someone inform how the 75” is $1895 when the eBay listing is showing for much more than that even with the eBay plus code?

Unsure what’s going on or if I’m just missing something?

    • Sony ended sales. Prices in both stores gone back to normal.

      • Thank you for letting me know

  • Cashback is gone back to 2% and Sony price can't match with eBay plus.

No longer a good deal screw it

  • Hi all, would anyone whom ordered with Sony have an invoice they can share? They mentioned they would price match if I'm able to provide proof.
