Seems a good price for wire splicers.

    I've used both styles but the $17.99 is similar to the ones I use and prefer when looking at purely using the tool as a wire stripper (ignoring the crimp and cutting functions).

    With this one you need to select the right gauge/diameter, put the cable in that hole and pull it through yourself, keeping the wire intact and pulling the insulation off.
    The $17.99 is more of an automatic stripper, you put whatever size cable in the teeth (within the upper limits of the opening) and the blade (picture 4 in the amazon listing) and just squeeze the handles together and the tool does the rest. I find this one easiest to use both in the thought process and the physical exertion needed to strip the cable.

        I much prefer the $17.99 Style, though cannot comment on the quality of this particular one. This style makes them much more easier and quicker to use.

        The ones I bought were the Jaycar Strippers
        I got them about 20 years ago and they are still going strong.

        Full disclosure- I'm not a professional, just a hobbyist speaking from personal experience.
