        No exit fee. After the first three months (when you get the gift card) you can exit :)

    I went through a few steps try to do the comparison and they ask for my persona detail straight away … name, phone and address. Why is a comparison guide need to collect these information given that not everyone is going to change their supplier?

      Agreed. I generally get turned off by any service that asks for more information than they should. I dont think companies realise how many potential customers they're losing just by doing this.

      There are other sources if you just want to check rates. A good idea to check there, especially if in Vic as can get $250 as well!

      Rates & retailers depend on your location.

      Your name has to match that on bill (or have the authority with current retailer to switch) associated with meter at that address - to qualify for Deal.

    I never got the giftcard from a previous ISP deal. When I contacted after 120 days they said it didn't track on their end… too bad.

      As with all cashback deals, ALWAYS CHECK IT TRACKED. Things can go wrong.

      Did you receive the confirmation email from Econnex sent soon after sign up?
      Without that you can't qualify for the Deal & gift card. It didn't track!

      If you didn't, you should have contacted them straight away! Not 120 days later!

      Every time I've signed up for Electricity:
      received Econnex confirmation email (subject: "Your Signup Confirmation for Electricity")
      & gift card about 90 days later.
      (Check your Bin!)

      (Tip: best not to leave sign up until end date of Deal. Some have missed out.)

      Seems YOU made a basic cashback error!
      A warning for all cashback Deals!!

      You believed you had a nice cashback coming, apparently WITHOUT FIRST CHECKING it had been confirmed.

      If it hasn't been confirmed - you never got the Deal!

      When you complained over 100 days later, were told it didn't track on their end.
      If you had received a confirmation email, you could have easily proven Econnex wrong!

      Seems you didn't check it tracked!!
      If only you had taken 1 min to check your emails from Econnex!
      If you found no confirmation email by next business day:
      Something went wrong!
      Contact them
      (eg may not be eligible, incorrect details)
      Signup again
      (A reason not to leave signup to last day)

      We probably all have had a cashback Deal that didn't track. Its a common problem discussed in CashRewards, Shopback, & other Deals!

      Don't waste all that effort considering / researching a Deal like this, waiting months, complaining to the site too late for anything to be done, Negging & complaining here.

      You spend months on this but missed out on a cashback reward you were looking forward to!

      Instead…
      ALWAYS CHECK IT TRACKED
      If it didn't - take immediate action so you don't miss out! Easier than spending time complaining later!!

      Then set a reminder (on email, calender, alarm) for when the cashback is due.
      Also use Reminder function in Deal, which makes it easy to see details & feedback.

      Sit back for your cashback reward.
      And sign up for next Deal!
      Works for me every time.

    signed up gas to agl. currently with globird for 11 months, all monthly bill were estimated, never see actual readings. comparing agl and globird, probably only $1 different per month. better off going with agl at least they read the meter every 3 months (from previous experience). hope to get a $100 giftcard to relieve a bit of grocery.

      I'm assuming you are talking about a previous government premium feed in tariff, if that's the case you will continue to recurve that and it's usually on top of any FiT that the retailer offers as the premium tariff is a seperate thing that's funded by the government. That being said apparently there were a few offers by panel installers, energy retailers ECT back in the early days that might have conditions about changing retailers but in general most government offers allow you to change retailers.
      But as is a common saying around here DO YOUR RESEARCH! ;P

    I recommended my friend to use your service, she switched to Simple Energy - Gas via your previous promo on 4/11/22 Ref: 1676557068. Received bill from Simple Energy confirmed gas was connected on 22/11/22 and stayed more than 30 days. Can you check when the gift card will be sent please?

    Then she signed up both her electricity and gas to Powershop on 13/2/23, Ref 1682657626. So far we only received confirmation email from Econnex, nothing from Powershop yet, We understand gas could take up to 3 months (next read) to switch, however electricity with smart meter should only be few days after 10 business days cooling, can you check the status of the application as well please?

    Keen to get more friends to join if experience is good.

    Still waiting for vouchers from the switch on 23 Nov 2022. The cash back tracked but been asked to wait until 23 March by the rep (without explanation and no email sent by econnex, just a reply here) in his previous post when I brought up the delay.
    So I’m not confident that they honour the deal.

    Just signed up with Powershop for electricity. Had a good experience with them in past. Called them to check details.

    Received confirmation email within minutes - so it tracked.

      Lots to consider in switching.

      Know what your meter is set up to by electricity supplier. That can't be changed without payment of fee! May be shown on bills, but full details weren't on any I received.

      The rate you are charged is based on that.
      (Mine is (3900) Demand Single Rate Controlled Load 2, No solar)
      Before knowing that - I thought I would be charged a lower rate. So was surprised to be charged more than expected!

      Know your usage.
      Have electric only house, but low consumption. So average estimates given are useless.

      Threw costs through a basic spreadsheet, based on actual consumption figures & rates for my meter category.

      Currently with Alinta with cheaper daily charge, but pay a DEMAND rate (4-9pm).
      Seems PowerShop will end up same price. But get $100 Woolies gift card for switching💰

      Some like Alinta & OVO lack an app.
      PowerShop has app showing power use every 30 min (with smart meter - PS installed it free).

      Alinta still hasn't corrected $20 mistake at sign up in December! They admitted their mistake, but repeatedly say they are too busy to refund! Bye!

      OVO failed to automatically refund overcharge when I left in December. They charge an estimated bill in advance to your bank. Their first estimate was over $100 more than I've ever paid! Took many requests for refund. Finally received last week.
      They eventually said sorry for the months of "delay". Doubt they would have refunded without repeated requests. Not good!

      Energy Australia & AGL had some bad feedback in Deals.Both are dearer for me.

      PowerShop was the only option left!

        Finally received a response from Alinta after threatening to leave today.
        Was asking for owed $20 - from their mistake at signup in December.

        As you didn't received the discount you were entitled for your first invoice, we have waived the charges of $38.65 for the current invoice. Your account balance is at zero.

        Great, but months & many complaints too late!
        Switching has it's benefits💡
