The banks are getting tighter and tighter with their offerings, 1 year ago they were offering 130K points instead of 90K points with this exact card (also with a reduced fee - or no fee if an existing customer).

The poor offerings are making cards like the CBA Ultimate look attractive when only late last year it was considered extremely mediocre (it's deal post is now getting more than 3 times the upvotes in a single day compared to previous posts that were up for months)

  • RBA is watching this thread like a hawk!

  • Just finished this one. Was 130,000 points last year. Slim pickings now.

    • I think the 130k was for the signature not platinum (I may be wrong)

      • Just checked my files as wasn't sure.

It was the Amplify Rewards Platinum card. "130,000 bonus Amplify Points when you spend $3,000 or more on eligible purchases in the first 90 days from card approval."

Not sure how many points the signature card got you though.

        • Got less than that during that time because they'll give you 100k year and 100k second year.

  • Did this one last year as well.
You get the bonus points instantly once you hit the $3k spend.

Better value redeeming Annual Fee Rebates via the Points portal.

    • They've capped the amount you can add to the cart now. It only one each.

  • not quite wanting to spend $5000 in 3 months

You are going to skip food shopping then?

      After todays rate rise
The lobster and caviar unfortunately are off the menu

beans and rice for a while.

  • Wish Westpac did a special bonus deal

  • 45k Velocity points, not a great deal at all.

Pretty meh if you transfer them to velocity but I would say pretty good if you transfer them to Krisflyer

  • Didn't have to pay the first year annual fee as an existing St George customer.

  • If i have afterpay payments due with old credit card and change to this credit card
Will that count towards the 3000 spend in 90 days ?

  • I've instantly been rejected by this bank twice now over the last couple of years. I'm assuming it is due to the 10+ credit card applications over the last few years with others. Never been rejected by anyone else.
