Keep in mind you're travelling for almost a full 24 hours going via Japan. Almost half the time going direct.
If you can do a stopover holiday in Japan it's great value for money, and ANA if anything like most Japanese services should be excellent too.
Cheap flights are cheap for a reason
It’s an excellent fare for possibly a stopover on each leg in Japan while heading/returning from LA, perfect if you don’t have little ones as it’s too much time in a plane but perfect for single people. I remember doing this 15 years ago and the airline paid for a nights accommodation while on a layover in Japan on our way to Boston and we stayed in Japan for a week on the return leg.

If you get off in Japan and don’t continue your journey, the other legs will be cancelled.
… and your luggage will end up at ANA L.A. (and incidentally they will probably tell you to shove it up your ANA L.A. if you try to ask for it to be brough back to Japan)
