Being using this for a year without subscription, wired and connected to my existing chime. But it never detects by kitten 😺. Works great on packages and vehicles detection.

    • Isnt this battery only not capable of wired.

    • Can you explain how you're using this wired?

      • You can wire it too. Just followed their video

        • Do you know if this makes it the same as the new wired version?

          • @Jklaro: This one works even when there is power outage, unlike the new wired one

            • @hopper: Is it still capped to 3 hours of footage?

              • @Jklaro: Yes 😔. But I don't relay on google, I have swam cameras in my home which records 24/7.

  • Free 3 hrs so when wake up 9am i cant see anything happening at 4am even if someone tried to enter my house?

    • Correct. Pointless without subscription.

      • Then why not get eufy? This looks like overpriced product just like ring.

        • Couldn’t agree more. Google sucks because it’s useless without the subscription. Eufy has security flaws and I’m not a fan of Ring. Not sure what to do from here 😂

          • @spliff tannen: What security flaw? If some hacker want to see amazon guy coming to my door, im fine with that.

            • @CyberMurning: Have a look on the eufy owners fb group. In the last few weeks lots of posts from people complaining about their systems having errors the last few months after some updates and vowing never to buy eufy again.

Normally owners groups are like a joint pleasuring session where fanboys say how good their product is to make them feel better for buying it so was surprising to see.

Not sure what the best wifi cameras and doorbell system is at the moment, but if the only negative of the subscription ones is the subscription and the rest works as it should then might be happy to pay.

Reads as if you get 3hrs of video history, not that it records only 3hrs. So a 5 minute door knock, you would be able to see 36 different interactions

        Ah.. could be right.
        3hrs free event.
So when an event happend it record. Another event, record. And so on..
Untill 3 hrs it will replace the oldest.

        • Actually you were right initially. You can only see the last 3 hours of events.

However, for me, since I get notifications on my phone, I can see a preview in the notification even if it was more than 3 hours ago.
But you're right, for true security it's not that useful.

I use it mainly as a doorbell and to see who's at the door, not really to see who/if someone breaks into my house.

          • @videlity: i see.
yeah no way i will buy this. maybe if $100.
            eufy all the way

  • Pointless without subscription. May as well buy the new wired version from the US and get a sub for 24/7 recording.

  • historic lowest?
