        Their question is valid though.

        For example, United Petroleum state that their fuel discount offers (e.g. APIA/Suncorp discount, AAMI discount) generally cannot be used in a transaction where a United gift card is used as a payment method.

      I am pretty sure you can't stack WWS 4c and Toyota 4c at the same time but you can go either one with ampol GC

        The Ampol Foodary / Ampol Woolworths MetroGo POS system will let you stack a Woolworths fuel voucher and an Ampol partner discount (e.g. myNRMA, myToyota, myHyundai) in the same transaction, but:

        • It is against the terms and conditions of Ampol’s partner discounts to redeem it in the same transaction as another discount offer (e.g. Woolworths fuel voucher).

        • I find that Ampol staff generally stop you from stacking discounts and will ask you to choose one to use.

    I'm currently having a frustratingly dense moment…
    Please help me here;

    If fuel at my local Ampol is $1.85 per litre, (currently 6c per litre more expensive than the other servo in town) and I buy 50 litres, costing me 92.50 at the pump….
    6% off gift card, costs me $86.95 of gift card.

    $86.95 for 50 litres is the equivalent of $1.74 per litre; effectively saving me 11c per litre off the bowser price and 5c a litre cheaper than the other servo down the road??

    Is this correct? Am I doing something wrong?

      Your sums are correct. One benefit with this is that you can save up the gift card and spend it when fuel is a bir cheaper at Ampol.

      yes and also you still can use the 4c discount woolworths everyday reward.

      so scan the reward card first $1.81 - 4c = $1.81.
      Then paying by using 6% giftcard would make this $1.70 per litre

          Yes. I've been doing this for more than a year. Might be better to check your nearby Ampol. Mine sure accepts them as they have the everyday reward banner in front of the shop.

            @Rsalim: Only some sites take the woolworths discount, my ampol for example takes nrma, toyata etc discounts but NOT the woolies discount. The price board will say "save 4c a litre" if they take the discount otherwise will jist say 'everyday rewards'

              there is 3 ampol service stations. one is the woolies and takes the everyday rewards but the other 2 don't take it. and I cant tell if either if the other 2 take any other discounts.

                @B-Man02: myNRMA and myToyota publish a list of participating locations on their respective websites. I strongly suspect only Ampol Foodary and Ampol Woolworths MetroGo locations accept myNRMA and myToyota discounts, but I have not yet validated this.

                On the other hand, EG Ampol (which I presume is what you meant by “one is the Woolies”) does not accept any Ampol partner discounts (e.g. myNRMA, myToyota, APOD). EG Ampol have their own list of partner discounts (and you can find them on the Fuel Discounts wiki](https://www.ozbargain.com.au/wiki/fuel_discounts#ampol)).

                  Still the 6% off ampol giftcards is cheaper than 4c/L and 3% wish at the EG Ampol.

                @B-Man02: To add to what WookieMonster mentioned already, all Ampol company owned sites (Ampol Foodary or Ampol Woolworths MetroGo) will have Everyday Rewards advertising on the Pylon and/or Price Board.

                Any of the 200 participating Ampol company owned sites also accepting the Woolworths discount (alongside "Everyday Rewards" points) will also advertise "Save 4c with Everyday Rewards Card" below the Everyday Rewards banner at the price board.

                If the 2 Ampols' in question doesn't have Everyday Rewards advertising, they would likely be independent/franchisee Ampol sites where it is owned and operated by someone else and Ampol are only suppliers to the sites.

          You can redeem the 4c/L Woolworths fuel voucher at around 200 participating Ampol locations on mainland Australia, and you will also earn Everyday Rewards points as well at these locations. (However, you cannot redeem Everyday Rewards Dollars at these locations.)

          Btw, the Woolworths fuel discount is 6c/L in Tasmania, and there are currently 5 participating Ampol locations (non-EG locations) that accept a Woolworths fuel voucher. Strictly speaking, these 5 Tasmanian Ampol locations only require you to present an Everyday Rewards card to redeem the discount. You do not need a Woolworths fuel voucher on your Everyday Rewards account in order to redeem this offer. Additionally, Ampol (and EG Ampol) in Tasmania are currently excluded from the Everyday Rewards program, which means you cannot redeem Everyday Rewards Dollars nor earn Everyday Rewards points on any purchases at these locations.

          You can find these participating Ampol locations by looking at the Ampol store locator (and I have pre-ticked the Woolworths Fuel Discounts filter for you).

    Ok, 171 participants so far. Do we roll the dice and wait for Midday to get the 6% + $5, hoping the $5 rewards havent been fully claimed? Personally I think, the bonus will be gone by Midday, and if not, seconds after……good deal still. $8 now or $11 at Midday…….hmmmm

    the annoying thing about these is can't add the card to their app to track value in the cards, so you have to fill up in whole $ amounts and keep track manually how much is remaining . I have a few card like that have a few cents leftover.

      Not truely at the moment

      If you have 6% + $5 cashback (i.e 11% discount), and having a code discount (eg. Woolies / Toyota / NRMA)
      Then this is a better deal

      Current cheapest 7-11 U91 is 169.9 (Delacombe, VIC3351)

      Current Ampol U91 standard price (VIC) 183.9
      After 4c discount = 179.9
      With 11% discount = 160.1

      Bought 3 x $100 e-gift cards.
      $18 cashback.

      I noticed the link didn't have the $250 gift card option, hence the above question.
      Going directly to Ampol gift card section and the $250 card is there, but only 3% cashback.

      Took a gamble on buying the individual $100 lots, and cashback tracked instantly.

      Doesn't look like I can add the egift cards to the Ampol app though.

            Looks like the 6 cents offer only works when you pay in app from phone with FuelPay (accepts credit or debit card and AmpolCard)
            The Ampol gift card today cannot be added to the app

            Does the 6 cents off stack with the 4 cents off from Everyday Rewards?

        Can't be added to the Ampol app I'm afraid, but I have stacked before by redeeming the gift card in store as the payment method + scanning my rewards card as well and didn't have trouble. Let me know if you do though, happy to take another look at it.
