40 series Zotac atrocious like 30 series?
Zotac fans are noisy, but they're your best bet at having no coil whine.
Had an Asus 4080 Tuf, and that had terrible coil whine.
i had the worst luck with zotac, the fans would all rattle and make such a trash ass buzzing sound, it drove me insane, but come to think of it, no coil whine cause i had the fans at like 30% to avoid the rattle i would have noticed
How does one judge between resellers? Like evga/zotac/pny ect? Pny always seems cheap but it seems like warning signs
Evga, ROG is no brainer option if the price is right.
I wouldn't touch PNY, colorful, and some other brand couldn't remember.
Zotac is alright.Colorful is better than Zotac in many ways especially in recent years if you follow the Chinese manufacturing scenes at all.
Zotac and colorful are all Chinese factories. Whilst the first always almost use reference designs, colorful makes their next tier board design except for the beggar edition 'battle axe'.
Colorful has a really bad reputation in China for the past couple of years. Zotac is less so.

EVGA left the GPU scene, there are no RTX 4000 EVGA cards.

My personal recommendation is to keep waiting and pressure Nvidia & retailers to lower their prices further. We are not there yet.

Only 12 months ago suckers were paying $3500-$4000 for the 3090 non ti. Q1 2022 didn't leave much time to mine it back either.
Bad forum advice imo. Telling people spend close to $4000 because "4k gaming is here why wait". The $1299 4070ti is faster that's why wait. What games have come out in the last 12 months to justify a $2500+ loss? Harry Potter?
4090 here been enjoying gaming with it since launch especially with a nice cheap LG C2.

x090 cards are great for productivity tasks, and quite cheap compared to other cards with 24GB of VRAM and CUDA support, so 4070ti is not always a replacement for 3090. It's also easy to justify the loss of the card value if you made much more from using it.
