I have spent four months trying to get Anycubic to fix or replace a printer that broke two months after I purchased it. They even told me that they don't have a replacement warranty, they just send whatever parts are needed for me to fix it. Whenever I point out that what they're doing is wrong, they stop replying or handball me elsewhere. Be warned.

    • Thanks mate.

    • whats the issue? people over at the 3d printing discord: https://discord.gg/3dprinters can probably help you - they love anycubic printers 😂

  • The Kobra is an amazing beginner printer. love mine it prints super well

  • What's a good beginner printer with a 300x300 bed? The smaller beds seem limiting

You could look at an Ender 5 plus which will give you 350x350x400mm.

Unless you know that you absolutely need the bigger size 220x220/235x235 is enough for starters. I always feel the need a larger bed but I have rarely had anything that required it.

The ender 3 v2 and similar clones are usually recommended due to the amount of online troubleshooting available. There's so much fine tuning and tinkering that the bed is probably the least limiting factor to your 3d printing journey - by journey I mean taking your patience to levels never before experienced.

    • I have an Ender 3 S1 Plus. It’s amazing.

  • The straight Kobra is a great printer….until you need spare parts. The hot ends are easy to source, the other parts not so easy. Complete printheads are not available (even direct from anycubic) and various parts are questionable. I am running 3 of the straight Kobras…two have been bulletproof, one is a problem with the fan duct breaking and causing some sort of problem possibly misalignment of some sort in the printhead. It is now on its fifth hot end in five months. A replacement printhead is not available.
In future I will be waiting to see what sort of parts are available prior to purchasing a printer…..or sticking to ones that use more generic parts.

It's a great reason to stick with enders - the community support and parts are extensive. It's already dirt cheap, its not worth getting a clone or cheaper alternative.

      • My enders never work. the printer bed is not flat, got a replacement still the same, returned it after two months try, and waste lots of time and filament.

        • BL touch was an easy solution for me on my 3 pro. Haven't had a failed print in over 6 month.

  • I bought the last Kobra deal, missing assembly kit, still waiting on the replacement kit to reach me.

    • Great… got sent replacement accessories, still missing all the screws…

  • Kobra is my second printer, it is soooo quiet compared to my ender 3, the only noise it makes is a little from the extruder fan. Super print result, very flexible in terms of configuration with Cura, temperatures of print head, print bed, as well as speeds and much more can be set individually. Adhesion to the print bed is excellent, no corners that peel off on large models.
Kobra Go seems to be a new generation of Kobra, this price is really attractive

  • im on to my 3rd printer.. my 2nd 30cm bed printer, the Ender S1 Plus, it came today.. already have an Ender S1 pro and Kingroon KP5L.. the Ender S1 pro has been solid.. Kingroon has given me issues.. no doubt im going to enjoy the S1 Plus.. once you go bigger you dont go back.. =)
