Try these coupon codes to make the Canon 50mm $78.95 pick up

    July5Off
    or
    Aug5off

    Just a $5 off coupon.

  • OK, bought one for the free cap.

I believe there is an issue with using the same free shipping code twice on the same account? I used FREEMELB earlier today with an order which worked fine to my Melbourne shipping address. It is not letting me use it again, however I guessed and then used FREESYD which worked just fine on a second order just placed, to that same Melbourne shipping address

  • Hey Rep, Can you make it 4 batteries + charger for below. Everyone here needs atleast 4 batteries.

    http://www.camerasdirect.com.au/sanyo-aa-eneloop-battery-cha…

    • That one just comes with two batteries in the pack, and all our packs of just the batteries have 4 so only thing I can recommend is buy one of these and then a pack of 4. Cheers

      • Can we have more description about the batteries. How many reachrges they will last?

  • Hi rep. Any special on 50 f1.4?

  • Has anyone received their order yet by any chance? The product is listed as in stock but my order status has been on "paid pending dispatch" over the last 2 days.

  • That is very fast shipping. I got it after did ordered 2 days ago. Cheers for a great job.

  • hmm, 5 days and mine has not been sent yet (ordered on 1st Aug). Just says ready for despatch, even though I selected express delivery. I hope it's not going to take to long.

    • Yup, same story here. It's either they've got too many to go through or because I used the free shipping 'coupon' and the order gets put into the low priority group.

      • I got the impression from some of CameraDirect's post here that they are waiting for stock from overseas.

        • I actually called them and checked that they have the Stock (which they did) and was told that the order was just waiting for their warehouse guys to pack and send it. This was Thursday last week.

The Nikon nifty fifty does have the status of awaiting for stock due for the 7th of Aug so perhaps that's one they're referring to.

      • i think they don't have enough stock because even my friend ordered without free shipping but until now (5days after ordered),order status is still "order finalized"

    • finally got an automated message today that it's on its way. I think you do get lower priority using the free shipping coupon as I ordered pretty early and others seem to have received their's quicker. I didn't get any reply to my email to cameradirect though.

For people who are wondering why it takes so long. CamerasDirect's system is different to online systems from other retailers.

    • It is common that the item has been sent out by CamerasDirect, and the staff can tell from their system the actual date it was processed and sent out, BUT the online system for customers to see/use can easily be 1 business day behind registering the event.
    • Order finalised could mean the item has been shipped. A bit weird, but that seems to be how it works. The tracking information on the site is brief and does not really tell you what is happening.
    • Supposely, you get an e-mail with tracking info with details on how to track the item delivery status. Sometimes, the e-mail does not arrive on time (or does not have enough details on how to track it).
    • If you paid for the devliery, CamerasDirect may elect to use a courier service, but this "more cost effective" courier service cannot compare to Australia Post's Express Service (or other main couriers) - service level from the courier is similar to AustPost's Parcel Post with tracking ID.
    • (Not sure) if you used free postage code, it might be sent via regular post.
    • (Not sure) items might be despatched from their office/warehouse in Gold Coast.

Their system is a bit confusing and it does not help that the courier company they picked isn't efficient.

    • Thank you for your information

Anw, my friend already received canon lens 50mm from Camerasdirect today

      :)

Should be picking up my 50mm lens from the FastWay Depot in Olympic Park today, They're a very ORDINARY courier and I would suggest Camerasdirect change to another carrier, they certainly don't make the process easy for your customers.

  • My lens arrived this morning :)

  • What I don't understand is why can't FastWay leave it with the post office?

    • they'd have to pay the post office, which drives up costs. People who are present for deliveries would end up subsidizing those who aren't.

    • Auspost do not allow it!

  • I used a free shipping coupon on a lens that said expected stock within 4 days and got it delivered within 3 days. I must be special :)
