It’s good that you have a backup keyboard. It’s good that you have a backup keyboard.

      • +3

        Stop it!!

        • Must always check your backups. Must always check your backups.

  • this one or MX Mechanical ??

    • +2

It really depends on if you prefer mechanical keyboards or normal keyboards. I have both and they are all excellent keyboards to use!

    • +1

      porque los nos dos?

    • +1

Depends on ur use case. I use it an office environment and its best for that

      • Yeah general IT work for me and I much prefer a chiclet style like this.

Never understood the hype around mechanicals, just not for me.

        • Yes I do. I love that I can switch between my devices real quick.

Mechanical's are not for me either, its distracting for the thought process

    • mechanical usually too noisy making this one perfect for the office

  • +2

    Perfect Stroke technology

    • +2

      Excellent band name…. :D

I have the mini version and I’m disappointed by the fact that it only starts working 5 seconds after the login prompt pops up. It’s a small thing but annoying.
It happens on safari as well for some reason the keyboard only starts working a few seconds after safari is open

    • Probably an issue with urz. Never had any love it been using mine for 6 months now

      • +2

Have you been using yours to type?

        • Yes i have.

          • @maaz: With your fingers?

            • @tharlow: What do u use to type

              • +2

@maaz: A pen in my mouth, or, in the absence of a pen, my nose. Dictation is heaps easier

              • +2

                @maaz: I hear feet-typing is all the rage…

      • No i read online other people have the same issue on mac. Maybe windows is different

        • I run mine on Mac and Windows, and often switch between the two. Both run on Bluetooth, (no bolt receiver) - and I have < 1 second change over time (from when I press the appropriate change device button on the keyboard to when it becomes responsive).

          • @The Captain: How about when you boot your mac? Can you type in the password field immediately as it pops up?

    • Are you pairing with bluetooth? That can be laggy on first connection. I find that when switching to the phone. But using the lightning dongles, it's instant for me

    • I had the same problem with the Mini and it also won't wake up the PC from sleep mode by tapping a key. The worst part is it will disconnect from Bluetooth 4-5x times a day so I have to go into settings and add a Bluetooth device before it will connect again. I ended up putting it in the bottom draw and now use this one in OP which uses the USB dongle which never disconnects and can also be used to wake from sleep mode

      • Out of interest, does the mini not come with the USB adapter?

I have the full size one and have it connected wirelessly to a Windows laptop via USB and have no issue with waking from sleep mode.

        • no adaptor, can only connect with bluetooth which is flaky

  • I remember logitech having one with a trackpad added in for like $59 or something anyone remember what it was called? Think officeworks sold them as well.

    • +2

Logitech K830 which is now discontinued.

Only Logitech keyboard + trackpad option is the K400 or K600.

      • +1

Ohh noo now I'm sad 😭

$109 here with Afterpay, but only 2 left https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/255408367055?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mk…

Wish there was a place to try this out nearby :/

Don't want to commit without trying it a bit

    • Dont worry buy first and enjoy later no regret on this if i have 4 hands i will buy another

    • personally i don't recommend because there is not fixture for constant backlight. once you move your hand away for even 1 second the backlight goes off, and then back on very slowly. it gets irritating quickly

    • It's Amazon, if you don't like it you can return it

      • +1

        Same with officeworks

  • These are a great keyboard. We all have one in our office and everyone loves them.

  • +2

Love mine. So much nicer WFH using it than the rubbish in the office.

  • +1

Got 2 in my home and had them for awhile. Awesome keyboard.

I placed an order for this and it says on amazon: "This item has not yet been released". Order has gone through though, and it says "We will email you when we have an estimated delivery date."

    • I saw the same thing. Out of stock now

  • Yeah.. I’ve tried this.. couldn’t understand the hype. I went mechanical and now that’s a different world.

  • damn i saw 5 left, grabbed my laptop to do cashrewards, then now its gone =(

  • +1

Missed out, but I've been after on for a while so jumped on ebay and found one that ended up being $118 after the ebayplus voucher and afterpay promo.

  • Ordered, thanks. I was researching this today, great timing

  • +3

FYI - I've had two of these and both have an issue with the auto backlight (and many others on the internet have complained about the same thing).

The auto backlight sometimes (or should I say often) gets confused and starts turning off and on every 10 seconds or so when I'm not anywhere near the keyboard. This results in the battery needing charging a lot more often than should be necessary.

Other than that I really like the keyboard.

  • Got this over a year ago
    1) Keys already wearing out/rubbing off- https://www.reddit.com/r/logitech/comments/y599ty/how_to_fix…
    2) The backlight uses a sensor and turns off (would be good if it stayed on the whole time) - https://www.reddit.com/r/logitech/comments/ljc635/mx_keys_ba…

Otherwise it's a nice slim keyboard and feel nice to type. Not sure i'd get another though

      Keys already wearing out/rubbing off

Dunno how you're using yours. I've also had mine for almost two years and my keys are still fine

  • In stock again.

  • There’s a new version called MX Keys for Business which has new dedicated keys for emojis, mute/unmute and dictation. Doesn’t look to be available in Australia yet which is a shame. I believe the MX Keys mini already have these dedicated keys built in.

    https://www.logitech.com/en-au/products/keyboards/mx-keys-fo…

Edit: some AU retailers have them but in combo with MX Master 3s mouse so quite exxy in price. Hope they can come unbundled!

    • what fully grown adult needs dedicated keys for emojis?

  • $149.00 now, deal over.

    • There’s always deals just browse Amazon eBay JB etc. I got deals outside Amazon this week price beat by OW. These keyboards are saturated in market with many sellers so there’s a lot of ongoing sales. Plus there’s a new MX Keys for Business newly out with new smart keys (emoji, dictation, mute/unmute) so that’ll probably start hitting marker soon bringing price down of prev version

    • $129 again FYI @Arcticfox

  • Any tips on replacing keycaps? Haven't been able to find any deals other than paying ~$16USD for a single keycap shipped from the US.

  • what switches are these?

    is this hot swap?

im currently using my jelly keyboard, but i need a numpad.

    • Chiclet style membrane.

      Not hot swap.

  • In stock again
