I dont get why people need these sorts of devices, what's the use case? I can access everything using my 5g via cloud-based services quite easily. And my laptop or PC would store the rest.
If you are a photographer or do lot of 4k video editing , these are extremely helpful. Being a SSD, write and read are extremely fast so you can directly edit the files without actually copying to laptop. Also quite easy to work across different laptops if needed.
