GPT-4 model update required to improve header accuracy

Is this worth upgrade from 12700kf?

    • The question is - for what purpose

      • -1

        For gaming…

        • +2

          1080p, 2k - maybe depends on ur gpu. 4k - no

          • @nelladream: curious to know why the "no" for 4k? is it because the GPU is more of a bottle neck for 4k?

            • @dandoon: his right in mose sense.

You could probably see slightly better frametime consistency with better CPU although you have same FPS.

            • +2

@dandoon: because the GPU IS the bottleneck for 4k.

@nelladream: thank you stranger, you're the first person i've come across to give the correct answer on this question on the internet.

            • @theadeptus1: It's always a pleasure to help out the folks here to save some bulks :)

Not at all.. the only chip worth upgrading too is the 7800X3D as its the fastest gaming CPU on earth but even then for the 20% more FPS in 1080p /1440p with a 7900xtx / 4090 its still not worth it. Wait until the next AMD or Intel chips come out in a few years.

7800X3D isn't out yet and it may be a lower bin than the 7950X3D which people are disabling half the CCDs on and claiming is equivalent to the 7800X3D. We just don't know how fast the 7800X3D really will be (other than probably "very fast").
But actually, the i9-13900K is STILL the fastest gaming CPU on earth - it is faster than anything on the AM5 platform.
That is because DDR5 on the i9 can be overclocked to 8000Mhz.
It tops out on the AM5 cpus at around 6400.

        • I said - fastest gaming CPU and the i9-13900K is no longer it The 7950X3D is.. just watch every single review online for fact checking!

Also the 7950X3D has two chips the 3D chip is clocked at 5Ghz and the non 3D chip is clocked at 5.7Ghz turbo… the 7800X3D has a single X3D chip clocked at the 5Ghz so its equivalent to the 5ghz 3D chip on the 7950X3D

7950X3D vs 7800X3D The performance will be negotiable..

Also the 7950X3D and 7800X3D uses less power vs a i9-13900K for more FPS in games

          • @vid_ghost: 7950x3d is also $400 more than 13900k so you'd certainly hope it performs higher

            • @Pugkin: well .. the RTX4090 is also $600 more then the RX7900XTX ..
You always pay more for the absolute best even if the return is minimal or not noticeable… its how the PC market works.

Also.. thats why i said the 7800X3D is the one to get.. price will be reasonable~ish .. for the best gaming CPU on earth
