I'd wager because the packaging has a label with Apple Malaysia on it, which is also what you get buying local stock directly from Apple. (Source: I have purchased various hardware and accessories from Apple and received labels that indicate they use the same stock here as other countries in Asia.)
I reckoned that it is a standard for Apple to pack several languages in their packaging these days, you will find them everywhere the same.

This mouse is one of the worst I’ve ever used… horrible ergonomics and pretty subpar accuracy and tracking?used it for a week and decided to revert back to Logitech MX.
Not to mention that you can't charge and use the mouse at the same time (charging port is facing down).

True, too flat, very sharp edge, the only good thing of this mouse is the touching surface works pretty good.
Can't decide if this is worse or the Surface Arc Mouse. Both worse than each other for ergonomics.
problem with MX mouse is if you are left handed, apple usually make their products so can be left or right handed ….. does lead to compromises but also means left handers don't miss out …….
charging port on bottom …. some of the new macs have very few USB ports …. so if not at home and you have apple charger so have limited options for cabled connection if you also have a usb drive plugged in ……. think idea is works long time on a charge and if it runs flat use the touch pad till you get to charge it …… and it charges quick so a few minutes keeps it working for the day …..
not justifying apple prices or designs but I can see why they did it ….. it's for the masses not the exceptions …..

Scrolling and gestures are better than other mice though. Saying that it is because Mac OS is just shit with any mice other than the ones from apple (scrolling and mouse acceleration).
Honestly, I really like it. I guess I'm just used to it. Scrolling's a breeze, but charging is kinda dumb but only have to do it once every 2 months or so.

I love being able to scroll from anywhere on the mouse as well as on 6 axis which you certainly cannot do on a mx mouse.
And I’ve charged it once in 3 months working 8+hr days so…

From the bottom. Apple designers really went for the skeuomorphic approach - when (magic) mouse is dead it rolls onto its back in order to be brought back to life.
Just for clarity, this mouse is not really magic…

Unless you are really after the Apple branding, save your money for MX Master 3S, far superior mouse that works with multiple computers and which does not suffer from designer brain fart - iow has charging port at normal location which allows you to use mouse while charging

Shit ergonomics, funny placement for the charging port (which is an issue to no one, I believe, because it charges fast; worse is that it's Lightning), but the top surface being a like touchpad is nice. But yeah, those ergonomics.

LOL Agree with last few comments, beautiful to look at but worst mouse to use. push whole mouse to click and the touch scroll is a nightmare, and not to mention it give wrist strain after 10 mins of use
If you don't know how to use it and charge it at the same time, then you are using it wrong!

Someone gave me a freebie, the old version that takes AAs. Gave it to my kid to use with school laptop (the school makes everyone use Mac's anyway so at least it matches 😄) mainly because it's very slim and fits nicely in the pocket of the laptop bag.
The swipe features were alright but terrible mouse to use though, couldn't see myself ever paying this much for one.
