LG 65" QNED91 4K Mini LED Smart TV 65QNED91SQA (2022) $1545 + Delivery ($0 C&C/In-Store) @ JB Hi Fi

150

I posted a deal for the same TV last week thinking it was a pretty good deal at $1947, but in a week they have taken another $402 off the price.
From what I can tell it certainly isn't LG's best TV, and for the original $3500+ price tag it was poor value, but I feel for this price it becomes an appealing proposition.

Specs:

Dimming Zones: 960
Processor Alpha 7 Gen4 AI Processor 4
Comms Wi-FI 5 AC, Bluetooth, Miracast, Single Digital TV tuner
Ports 2 x HDM1 2.1 (one eARC), 2x HDMI 2.0, 3 x USB-A 2.0 5V/.9A, Optical out

    lol… 1.44m wide… won't fit on my desk… But nice deal.

  • What's the verdict on Mini LED TVs? I thought they were supposed to take over from current LED TVs but that hasn't seemed to eventuate?

    • just got a refund on my c835 75 dead pixel issues on a brand new tv. I think im going to go for the Samsung qn85b now. OLEDs better but unaffordable in a 77 for myself

    • It’s still an IPS panel meaning avoid like plague.

  • Be careful with LG Tvs, if it breaks after a year, you have to spend another $1500. buy extended warranty if you can. My LG that I purchased in 2021 broke just after 16 months and their support team says it is out of warranty. Had to spend a lot of time trying to convince them that this is not normal lifespan of a TV. When i finally found TV depreciation page (ATO) is which said the TV can be depreciated over 6 years they decided to repair it for no charge.

+1 for buying an extended warranty on LG, Samsung & Sony as long as it is less than 10% of total purchase (1+ 4rys, for 5 yrs total). You just have certainty of outcome and less hassle this way, and the TV will probably get replaced with something better.

+1 for persevering with the manufacturer/Retailer in your case as the ACL does have consumer protection for all purchases in Australia.

That said I think LG are generally more reliable than the rest of the crowd though.

Honestly, LG sucks. I purchased two LG phones (2005 & 2012), never gave satifsaction like a Samsung or a Sony phone would (Usually phones have something like camera, screen, fast processor or at least one of those things better than the competition) LG had none, all mediocre and didn't enjoy, My first LG phone had charging issues. LG TV broke in just 16 months and our LG washing machine ended up on Marketplace due to multiple issues. LG is out on my purchase list.

Now thinking about it, I did purchase an LG Windows phone many years ago and it worker perfectly well for about a year and it then just died.

    • Just want to say I have had amazingly good support from LG with their TV warranty, so much that I'm a big fan. Sorry to hear of your poor experience.

  • Can you transport these lying down, or do they still have to be stood up?

    • LED should be alright horizontal.. that's what the delivery guy did last time when they delivered my Hisense QLED. TV still working..

    • miniled needs to be upright

  • Now this might be worth a look. Was gonna go for the TCL C835, but @bob98 has turned me off that one!!!!

  • Just confirming what the HDMI ports are? All 4K, but only two support 120fps and one of those is eARC?

  • It is funny. Choice ranked the QNED80SQA higher than the QNED91SQA mainly in picture quality. Go figure.
