  • The 1.6kg weight isn't exactly light if accurate..

    • +1

about the same (or lighter?) than what it's a copy of

    • +1

Some of the other highly rated bags at 1.5kgs as well, from Ospray, Bellroy, etc.

    • Unlike the US which alot of these bags are aimed at. The carry on weight limit is just 7kg for international airlines. You won't be able to hit the 40L and stay within the weight limit.

Or let's put it this way, you don't need that big a bag if you ain't travelling US domestic.

A good walkthrough of the bag: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9BmSVoiHeY&t=486s
    Lowest price according to CamelCamelCamel.

I was on the hunt for Osprey Farpoint 40L which I can't get my hands on anywhere right now. But this looks like a cheaper, but superb alternative.
This includes raincoat, lockable zips for main compartment and laptop slot, secret slot on the back section and zip pockets in arms.

Just ganna purchase it to see it in person. Could be a great cheaper option.

I agree man. Also bit the bullet and will see as well. I have 2 ospreys but this shape seems more user friendly

Saying "ganna" for gonna or gunna is crazy

      • -4

Ganna means I am going to (at some time in the future), gonna means I was going to, but the deal is now OOS, and gunna means I am going to get shot by my partner but I bought it anyway. This is pretty common OzBargain slang which I believe is detailed in the FAQ

    • I was about to buy it to see too, as I had my eye on the a
Aer 3, but honestly it looks too flimsy and cheap looking (and extrapolating: cheap feeling) for what I was looking for. I rather buy it once I think.

Thanks for sharing the video, helped me decide.

How many TPS reports will this hold?

perfect backpack for my 10L Razer Tomahawk Desktop lol

30L left for keyboard, mouse, beer

  • Not sure how good the aer travel pack 3 is in terms of build, but this really does look questionable. But yeah if you can’t or don’t want to invest in it, maybe a good alternative.

  • Looks like the price is back to $119.99, seems I missed out.

I’ve used this for carry on travel for multi month trips around Europe a few times and it’s great. Always been rough with it and heavy clamp usage and still nothing broke. Never had issues with back pain when packing heavy either when managing weight distribution and using the body clips
    But
As other comment suggest it is heavier than other similar capacity packs and airlines like Ryan air have since reduced allowable carry on dimensions (unless you paid for the priority pass)
Having said that, anecdotally I never had any issues bringing it on board

I’m now considering upgrading to something like the farpoint or similar because this was great for the price (some AliEx price) but the weight is the downside but if it wasn’t for that I’d say this is a perfect one bag
