Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 64GB 3G Tablet - White $557 Harvey Norman (Instore)

70

Galaxy Tab 10.1 features a 1 GHz dual-core processor, 1 GB RAM, Android 3.2, 3g and huge 64gb storage. It's not the latest model, but a good price for really nice tablet.

I'm tempted but I think I'll wait for the new 10.1 Note coming out soon.

As someone who owns this tablet, 'really nice' isn't something I'd agree with. Laggy mess is more like it.

    • Thanks for the honest reply.

    • i had one too… looks great, performs poorly…

      Thanks for letting me know

    • Have you upgraded to ICS?

      • I've tried ICS, CM9, CM10. It's just a shit tablet. There isn't any reason to buy this over the Nexus 7, or an iPad.

        • agreed, need project butter at least.

          Try free Android booster?!

        • not sure if iFan or genuine comment

  • Tegra 2 is a mess. That's why.

    • ICS doesn't help either.

  • These are fantastic tablets and perform brilliantly.

  • Anybody recommend any good 10" tablets? or any I should wait out for?

      • Not so keen for generic tabs, or non mainstream tabs.. The last time I bought a phone called the Dell Venue which was only released in a couple of countries, not including Australia and they just abandoned it. No updates, full of bugs, not much I could do because a replacement would have the problems as well.

        • cube is one of the largest genetic brand in China. it really depends on where u buy it from.

    • Transformer Prime - Tegra 3, 1.3GHz
Transformer Pad Infinity - Tegra 3, 1.6GHz, Full HD screen
      Transformer Pad 300 - Tegra 3, 1.3GHz

      Or:
The new Apple iPad (iPad 3, iPad 2S - depends on who you talk to)
      iPad 2

The only thing going on this particular Galaxy Tab 10.1 is that this is the 3G model. Otherwise, as people pointed out: Tegra2 CPU/GPU is dated and not very smooth even if you run ICS on it.

Sounds like a good price. Is its hardware better than the 7.7?

    I would like a 7.7 version with 64GB and 3G.

I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 (newest version) 10.1 Pretty much exactly the same specs than the original. I have no problems with lag or anything running ICS. I have a shit tonne open and not the a hint of slow down. Got it for $365 from office works. I would recommend it highly for a decent tablet and probably the best 10' tablet for the price bracket. If you buy from Kogan you get a grey import so who knows about warranty and stuff but you do get an IR blaster which you can then use the tablet to control your tv and such.
