and Lebara offer eSIM now, dont know when Boost will introduce those

  • Can I keep my number from Catch?

    • Yes, you should be able to.

  • +1

I wish they would offer the $5 roaming as well.

  • Is this for new customers only?

    • +2

No, this is for both new and existing customers, you can stack your mobile service up to 24 months with their long term plans.

      • I'm existing customer, logged in and tried to find the same plan, but only managed 35Gb instead of 425Gb sadly

        • You can buy this plan, different plans can be stacked.

        • How did you manage to recharge with this offer? I tried recharging my number and it wanted to charge $300 for Large 360 days plan

          • @hardozbargainer: Can you buy first, recharge later? I bought a extra small 360 plan on ebay and after recharged it like this.

    Is this 4G? 5G?

    • I have 5G with Lebara. It's great.

      • Which plan are you getting 5G on? is it this one?

  • Damn just bought the $180 200gb with Lebara

    Is there any expiry date?
Do I need to activate this within 30 days?

    • Was wondering same and I couldn’t find it on the website

    • Same question, unable to find info on their website…

    • +1

Found this on another OB Lebara deal
"Lebara requires you to activate the SIM within 60 days of purchase".

  • +3

Absolutely no customer service. No one will answer call in customer care. On Facebook will get response once in a day. I ended up in TIO for poor reception and call drop outs.

    Vodafone network. Why torture yourself?

    • +2

      Subjective question mate…

      • Yes, it is varied after you change the patterns of work, life, etc. Even when the current Telco is OK to use, you can always use a 2nd short term SIM to test whether another Telco is better or not before switch.

I used to be one of those haters for a long time, I switched last year and haven’t looked back. At home right now I get 100mb 4G and 280mb 5G and I’m in an outer suburb. When my mates can’t get data from congestion at the SCG I was getting 100mb fast service. When I went on a road trip to through rural NSW last year I got service nearly everywhere when I expected none.
TPG has fixed them up somewhat

Use online support, it is run by Indians and they prefer typing to talking.
I use them all the time, NEVER had an issue, works perfect.
Usually Coles sells $29 kits for $4 with less than 3 months expiry.
Why use Noptus from Gerry if this one goes?

    • Nothing wrong with Vodafone. Slightly less speeds than other telcos but coverage is good. Always 5 bars. So far the worst is Telstra for me average 2 bars and Optus drop out rates are high.

    • +3

Vodafone is the best for me, it's the only network that doesn't drop out in the rail tunnel heading in to Perth Underground, in the lift at work and has the strongest signal at home.

Telstra needs to lift their game.

      • +1

I find when indoors at multiples locations, Telstra is comparatively the worst. Maybe it has the best outdoors coverage.

    • Same for floptus and hel$tra too. I am classed as rural area and hel$tra is crap and floptus is no where to be found. And I get ready for this, 5g on vodafail.

  • Hi all, any information on when this needs to be activated? I have a current plan with another provider that still has 2 months left on it. Thanks

  • +1

They sent me a $2 SIM Card with a $360 sticker on it. Now I have to wait another 7-10 business days for them to investigate. 😒

  • +2

Had the same issue with the $2 Sim card. Called support and gave them the Order # in the Email - they activated the sim and placed it on the 425Gb plan. Asked for a new mobile # so porting was not required.

  • Why pay top dollar for top data, when one can get a yearly plan for $85, — or even negative cost! — and route the data through free Boost monthly plans?

    • What a hassle

      • Not really.

Besides… if hustles are hassle for you, perhaps this is not the right forum?
