Microsoft LX-3000 USB Headset for $2 + P&P

151

After looking at the range of MS products that are available in the 25% off cashback offer (see here http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/7537 for details) I decided to buy some headsets for work.

After searching on shopbot.com.au and staticice.com.au i noticed there are several companies selling the LX-3000 USB headset for $17. After cashback that will only cost $2 + P&P!

RRP is $50!

I cannot vouch for any of the stores (if anyone has used any of the stores in the link maybe they can comment below) but at that price I may take a gamble.

  • This QLD store is selling them for $14.52 - http://www.instantit.com.au/proddetails.aspx?manufid=65&manu…

    So $50 * 25% = $12.50, $14.52 - $12.50 = $2.02. If it were $17, you'd be paying about $5 pp.

    Bargain, regardless :)

    • guys, you need to count the shipping fee which makes it not a bargain

      • Explain to me how even $12 (incl. shipping) for a Microsoft headset is not a bargain??
Yeah shipping needs to be factored in, but it's a nice highlight to what's out there..

$10 shipping is pretty standard.. you might even get away with $8 (given it's about the price for Express Post for a small item..)

Seriously bctransit, do you understand the purpose of this site??

$2 for a Microsoft headset is a flat out bargain, even before shipping costs.. Clearly the OP is not pushing one seller, so there's not even a conflict of interest!

        • calm down, scubacoles, I agree by paying $14 - $17 is a good bargain, but the $16.25 shipping makes it not, also you can't find any $14-$17 in NSW which means you have to pay more than 30 bucks in total. Paying over 100% of the value on shipping, do you think that's a bargain?

          • @bctransit: Officeworks sell these and will price match if you have a printed out advertisement from the online retailer.

    • Shipping for InstantIT is pretty ridiculous. $14.52 for the headset + 16.25 shipping = 30.77. No pickup possible.

  • LifeChat LX-3000 $49.95 $15.00

Microsoft round it up to the nearest $5 multiple. If you could walk in and buy them from InstantIT, you could make a whopping 50c profit ;D

  • well just bring it to officeworks for price match + 5% off , its mean free headset after cashback lol , really good bargain

  • living in nsw the cheapest is like 30 bux incl postage…

i dont think u can price match officeworks for 15 dollars as they will include postage fees too dont they?

  • Yes Officeworks includes delivery when they price match :-(

I wonder why though — if these online stores have pickup available, wouldn't that mean the other states are particularly disadvantaged?

  • well…i went to ow, they couldn't give me the pricematch because it's a different model # (the one with price range ~$17). the cheapest i could find for the retail model # is around $31. so ended up bought the thing for $34 @ OW.

  • well if pickup is available they will also pricematch the online price… i just did so today with a laser printer toner

prob for us nsw'ers for this deal is that i cant see any of those stores offering pickup in nsw or cheaper delivery

  • This wont work….. or am I missing something?

Headsets are not included on the Microsoft rebate list…. see here .. http://www.microsoft.com.au/hardware/offers/

You'll end up buying the headset and then denied any refund by M/soft.

    • -1

      no cashback, fail

  • There is cashback. Lifechat LX-3000.
    Look close..

  • I'm looking for the Microsoft Ergonomical Keyboard 4000. Has anyone seen one cheap enough to bother ordering online rather than just heading to Officeworks?

I live in Perth, so shipping always screws me

  • hmmm can't process the cashback, the m$ must be down or something. when i press submit, it says 404 error…..grr

  • There's definitely cashback. I bought my headset of this last night at Officeworks and sent my claim in then.

To anyone who can't find it in the list: look under 'DIGITAL COMMUNICATIONS', right at the bottom. The bottom 2 are headsets.

    • Here it is…

LifeChat LX-3000, RRP incl. GST ($49.95), Cash back amount ($15.00)

  • The original poster isn't really pushing instant IT - those who don't want to pay the shipping from instant IT can buy this item anywhere they like and still claim the cashback.

    Its a deal well found.
