        • Hardly a miracle when the vast majority of people (sensible, smart people) voted for him.

Hardest working poli during the entire COVID period, by a huge margin.

Did you even look at the so called competition? Now that it what you call a joke!

          • @Grish: miracle either way! it was just a joke.

back to the monitor discussion. it's an irresistible deal! but I didn't buy one. miracle!

    • Have one monitor for each usage.

  • Currently have one of these other dell monitors from a few years ago is it worth the upgrade or should I be shooting for a bigger screen since they are the same size and resolution just this one is 165hz?

    https://www.dell.com/ae/business/p/dell-u2715h/pd

Or I guess grab this one and have a dual monitor setup with the old one next to it?

  • Was reading a forum on monitor size, resolution and performance. A bunch of people agreed that scaling to 1080 from 4K was a better option than 1440p to 1080.

    Is that right ?

    • +1

Yes but most people won't care or can see the difference.

      • Good to know

  • +1

Got one thanks OP and have another code if someone needs it…1D34T527CS1VXP

    • +1

Already redeemed, not by me but to whoever was too lazy to let everyone know. Thanks for sharing anyways.

  • +1

Bought one from last deal. Very happy with it.

  • Coming from a decent IPS 60hz one, is it worth upgrading to this one? Will he used for work only, browsing, excel…etc?

    • Its only worth it for gaming as far as I can tell not for work or browsing the net etc

      • +4

It is absolutely not just for gaming. Going back to 60hz everything will just feel slower and laggier. It definitely has the MOST benefit for gaming, but even for general use it just feels faster.

    • +2

A higher refresh rate is typically better associated with gaming, but if lucid movements on general things like resizing, moving tabs around, scrolling etc. is your thing, definitely go for it. Makes your computer feel much quicker.

    • Not really. The opportunity cost is that you could've put that money towards a 4k or ultrawide for a few hundred more, which would be much better for your usage.

This is an insane monitor for the price though.

      • -1

I bought this monitor and I'm not impressed at all!! Daily usage is fine but as soon as I enter the game (League of legends) it doesn't look good at all ….seems there is a greish layer on the screen and also looks not sharp at all (all video settings are to maximum). Can someone help me ? I don't know if it's just this bad or it's some settings…. I have it connected to my laptop (Intel NuC M15 with i7 1260P) with HDMI port that comes with the monitor itself. Is that normal too look that mediocre?

  • +1

Bought 2 of these from a deal in 2020. No complaints at all!
I can help some of you get those K-12 codes if anyone needs

    • Can you DM one to me mate pls? looking to get one. Thanks!

    • Would love a code if you've got one spare

    • Can you send me the code please

    • Can you DM one to me mate pls? looking to get one. Thanks!

    • Howdy, if you have a guide on how to get the K-12 code or have one spare, I would love one. Cheers.

    • Keen for a code too if you can. Cheers

    • Hi could you please pm a K-12 code if possible, thank you so much

    • Could you please provide me with a K-12 code? Thank you in advance! :)

    • Hey mate, would very much appreciate one if possible. Thanks

    • Hi mate, can I please have one? TIA

    • Hey mate, would very much appreciate one if you have it available. Cheers.

      • i've got one if you need. not able to pm you though

        • Hey mate, just wondering if I could get a K-12 coupon if you have a spare one please? Cheers! :D

  • Can't praise this monitor enough. Still rocking one as a secondary screen.

    • What's your first screen?

      • Presumably an even more attention-seeking monitor… that can resist significant impacts

      • +1

        An AOC CU34G3S.

The Dell used to be my primary monitor until I got this last year.

  • +1

For people with triple monitor set up for racing sims, would you get 3 of these or 1 of these and 2 lower end ones?

    • +2

I have 3 of these. 3 identical monitors will always be better than 3 different monitors with different refresh rates.

  • +3

Big thanks for this, was looking for a decent priced monitor in that sweet spot range (1440p/1XXHz IPS) for a while.

  • Anyone willing to DM a k12 code please? Looking to get one. Thanks!

  • Man their website is horribly slow/glitchy.
Hoping to order one - k12 code would be fab but not worth missing out

    • True. Ordered one without k12. $359 is not bad as well. Cashrewards got 6% back on dell australia though. Not sure if this one is in exception though. Went through it anyway. Lets see if this gets tracked. :P

      • Monitors 1.5% and coupon code not listed on CR, possible to reject.

  • +4

I've been using two of these displays side by side for years.

Fantastic displays in terms of specs and performance, but one major caveat, there is zero colour consistency between screens. I returned mine twice and each time got screens with varying hues of green/blue that adjusting with colour settings didn't 100% correct for. One of my screens is sitting at 85% blue and 92% green to make it white.

What that means is that I've learned to live with both screens having a different white balance which took a bit of getting used to.

Maybe I'm unlucky but 4 screens in, this is my experience, just something to consider. Can't fault Dell for warranty though.

  • Thanks! Ordered one.
Stacked 2 coupon and paid $341.5 by Zip pay.
Zip pay 3% CB through Zip app.
CR 1.5% but not sure with coupons.

Don't forget to payback before end of month if you used Zip pay.

  • +3

Thanks mate, got one, total price $334 with unidays and K-12.

Looking forward to finally upgrading from 1080p 60hz.

    • +1

You will never want to go back to 60hz! Enjoy

    • Curious to find out how you managed it down to $334.
It was $341.50 for me after stacking both the codes

      • Not sure, I only did the K12 and Unidays, I didn't do the AUAFFILIATE 5% - so make sure you aren't using that one.

    • +1

Wohooo thanks for the tip! Managed to snag one for $334 as well using K12 and Unidays Code! :D

  • +1

Any suggestions from anyone on a screen a little larger than these? Looking for a larger office monitor with preferably a higher hz for ease on the eyes!

  • Anyine with a spare k-12 code, can you please DM it to me. Thanks in advance

  • Pls DM if you have a spare K-12 code. Thank you.

    • +8

just enter email into link and you get the code

      • thank you!

        Worked, thank you

  • They really need refresh this model with 32inch

    • +1

      S3222DGM?

      • Was looking at that but not sure on Curved cox idel i will be running two

  • Any views whether it would be better to go with this or lenovo l32p-30? Mainly use for work and gaming after work

    • If not for fast motion game like FPS then Lenovo, otherwise 120+hz IPS is better

  • +1

If only this worked with PS5 & VRR

  • Thanks OP, grabbed a second one.

  • Pardon my poor comprehensions skills but does this have usbc charging? I have the S2722QC at work and its mostly great. I do get some flickering at times with my mac. It is within my budget would it be better to go with the S2722QC?

  • Looking for a monitor for home office use I wont be gaming. I saw this model:

    S2721DS
    https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-27-monitor-s2721ds/apd/…

It comes down to about $260 with the discounts I like how it has speakers too. Is that a good price / is it worth the extra $60 to get the 165hz?

    Thanks

    • +1

I have this monitor. I liked it alot even though it's capped at 75hz. I used it for my ps5 and the quality of the image is pretty good. If you are not doing any competitive shooters and just productivity stuff. I'll say this display is well worth it. But if you want a faster refresh rate than just pay the extra $60. Also note that the speakers aren't that great, as expected from a monitor. But they are loud enough! Hope that helps!

      • Thank you for the reply!

How do the speakers compare with say a lenovo thinkpad laptop?

I’m leaning more towards the faster refresh rate to be honest

        • I don't have a Lenovo, but I'll say they sound like a standard windows computer.

    • How did you get it down to ~$260 ??

      • +1

Using the k-12 and unidays code!

        • Hi just wondering has this gone up in price since you bought it? I can only seem to get it down to 301.27 with unidays and the K-12 codes.

  • Will this reduce my eye strain

    • +4

Eye strain can be exacerbated by:
      - bright reflections on the screen, and the matte finish on this helps
      - screen size is too small for the viewing distance, hence why some people are adamant that anything smaller than 27" is too small (upgrading from a tiny laptop screen myself, this was much easier to read writing/watch videos/play games)

      Other common causes:
      - monitor is too bright/too dim
      - user requires corrective vision
      - windows scaling is set too low (personally I use 125% minimum scaling on 1440p at this size, some use 150%)
      - laggy/torn graphics.
      - low user hydration/ low humidity workplace

      Hope this helps

      • great tips there!

  • These are great monitors. I bought two of them last time around and can highly recommend!! :)

  • Thanks OP, really great deal. Does anyone know if there are good value 1440p 120+hz monitors that support USB-C and daisy-chain/DP out? Or does the technology not support high refresh rate monitors?

  • How does this one compare if you want 32 inches?

    https://www.dell.com/en-au/shop/dell-32-usb-c-gaming-monitor…

    • Major difference:
      - 32" has no rotation capability for vertical viewing. Not something I'd personally ever use anyway.
      - 32" is slightly brighter, averaging 500nits peak. I find the 27" in this deal to be plenty bright enough but most people agree brighter is better?

I'd say the G3223D is great performance and great price below $500…
But my setup had the keyboard about 10cm from the monitor and 32" would be too large. Sitting further back would be fine

      • Thats a good point my keyboard is about 5 cm from the monitor haha maybe its going to be too large at that distance

  • Ordered and already got a tracking code. Looks like these are in stock and shipping straight away.

  • I bought this for my son, thanks OP.
May be a couple of dumb questions, What is the purpose of second HDMI port? Also will there be any impact to the video quality if i connect it through a dock or usb-c to DP converter cable?
Appreciate your input as I have a second 60hslz dell monitor going through a dock at present.

    • +2

Second port is just to connect to something else simultaneously. I have my monitors connected to my gaming PC & work laptop dock to switch over to seamlessly

      • Can you leave the dock powered on when you connect tbe second hdmi port ccable to your laptop? I like this and will set this up.
Hope J dont need to fiddle around evrytime i switch between my laptop and PC inputs?

        • +1

You don't change anything. My dock connects to the laptop via a single USB C output. I have 2 x HDMI's connected to the dock from the two monitors, then have displayport cables back to the desktop. The monitors are smart enough to know when there's a signal to switch over to.

          • @Hinee: Perfect Thanks, this is exactly the setup i am intending to try.

  • I've been on the lookout to upgrade my monitor and jumped on this one after reading all the good comments. Managed to get it for $336.37 with the two codes stacked and 1.5% cashback on top. Great find OP!

  • I bought 2 in total of $684 via cash rewards and tracked $19.18 cash back.

    • +3

no cashback by using these coupons

  • Bought one. Thanks.

  • I paid $510 for this exact monitor in Sep 2020!

Seems the MSI monitor slightly wins out especially if your use case is gaming. But from what I can tell that one is much more expensive than this Dell?

      • The model that is shown in that website is not the one I asked about btw, the one I posted is qfp not qrf. The MSI is $469, I'm mainly getting for programming and YouTube so I want high text quality, I don't know which one would be better in that case.

        • Oh oops sorry about that. Damn these monitor model names
