According to previous post people reported that if you cancel the trade in with Squaretrade (the trade in provider). They don't charge you for the bonus trade in coupon. So essentially you are charged only for the trade in value (if you don't send the trade in phone) and still keep the bonus $400 ~$500 bonus coupon. I haven't tried it. And this is according to the comments of previous post.

      Good question. There are those options on the square trade page but I am not sure if there are eligible for the bonus coupon. Under the Terms and Conditions it looks like that you can. But I can not say that with certainty

    I have gone through the process of trade in valuation and got the trade in credits in my email. But I don’t want to go ahead using the credits and buy the phone anymore and don’t want my credit card to be charged. Can any one advise how I can cancel it?

    Looks like I am out of luck for this deal.
    Travelling in Malaysia at the moment and trying to do the trade it it tells me "your country is blocked" then tried with VPN and it says to turn off VPN to proceed.

    Oh well, Just have to wait for the next good deal.

    Managed to negotiate s23 128g price down to $1043 with a screen protector, less $400 trade-in coupon. With GST TRS refund to come and use of discounted e-gift cards works out to less than 50% of discounted list price. Use it for a couple years, and maybe sell for a profit. Not a bad deal at all.

      That's a good deal. How did you get it that low? The best I got via online chat was $1070 phone only (s23 128G).

        $1070 is pretty good online; I could only get $1116 online so went in store. Told the guy Samsung was doing free buds at same price, he couldn't throw that in, but could knock the price down - I was actually surprised he could do that much of discount.

    The price match has gotten cheaper so potentially you can price match with JB and get an S23 256gb for $680 (incl. $400 coupon discount). Couple of days remaining.

    Hi I know its been asked time and again, but I am anxious cos I am not sure of exactly where to proceed

    I would like to buy a s23
    I want to get a bonus trade in from an old iPad
    I have currently got an email from Squareup with the emailed trade in value ($100 becasue I provided them with my ID/IMEI etc) + three options s23, s23+, s23 ultra

    Currently my understanding of the steps to do are:
    Go to JB hifi instore shop and pick phone.
    Provide them the email with the coupon of choice (and I can change at last moment if needed)
    I purposely not use the iPad coupon
    Contact squareup and cancel my coupon sometime in next week

    So my questions:
    1) Can I click on all three or just the model I actually want (ie. if I change my mind at last moment from s23 to 23+, am I allowed to request a different coupon)?
    2) Can i use the bonus coupon instore?
    3) I don't want to use the Ipad trade in value because I want to keep the ipad -
    i) is that possible?
    ii) or do I have to use it?
    iii) Is it actually a gift card?
    4) If i don't use the ipad coupon, and I cancel with Squareup,
    i) will they still charge me the value because they sent me the coupon (even though I didn't use it) eg. $100 in this situation?
    ii) when do I need to tell them by?
    5) Is the Ipad IMEI number considered blocked? even if I cancel the trade in?

    Really sorry if the answers are obvious or been stated multiple times before

      To keep it simple,

      Yes choose which phone you want in store, optionally try price match with jb staff if you can (this is the hardest step). Or ask for any extras such as a free case/screen protector etc. Negotiate and bargain a little if they can't price match!

      Take the phone up to the counter.
      First select and scan your bonus code discount ($400/$450) at counter. The bonus code is sent really quick by email, no rush.
      Then scan your gift card for your trade in value of ipad which you should already have on your email.
      Pay for phone, it's all yours.

      Reply to square trade email within next few days saying you kindly wish to cancel your ipad trade in.
      They will reply and charge your credit card according to the trade in value.

      That's it! Best of luck and enjoy your new phone :)

    Dang it… I just went to use the trade-in site and got a message that they are closed! What the? Besides internet sites being available 24/7, it's not even 11.30pm (AEDT), which is when they say they are closed. What gives?

    Edit: Clarified timezone they say they are closed.

      A similar deal should come back. From what I heard there is plenty of stock in store which need to move sooner or later.
