    I just got back from a 25 day holiday using the Asia Explorer Travel Sim Card 13 Countries - 30 Days / 10 GB from the previous deal. The SIM worked worked perfectly in:

    • Malaysia (Layover)
    • South Korea (Seoul/Jinhae)
    • Japan (Osaka/Kyoto/Hiroshima/Shizuoka/Tokyo)
    • Singapore (Layover)

    Just followed the instructions, inserted the SIM before I left Australia and it took about 4 - 5 minutes to automatically register in each new country I arrived in and then worked flawlessly. Connection was stable and had no issues with heavy Kakao Map (navigation app for Korea as Google maps doesn't work for directions) and Google Map/Translate usage in Japan.

        Yep, was plenty as I mainly used it for Navigation and translating signs/menus via Google Translate when out and about.

        We relied on the WiFi provided by the Hotel/Airbnb to check out youtube or other data heavy stuff like uploading photos/videos to the cloud.

        I didn't use it for hotspotting though, that would kill it pretty quickly haha

        I hope you have a great trip, it was my first time to South Korea and the food and people were amazing!

    Currently in Jeju and typing this using the South Korea Sim that I bought late last year. It's working everywhere, even in Udo island off Jeju. Wifi coverage is everywhere but always good to have SIM for driving.
    The only weird thing is the actual telcos shown are from random country, currently seeing it displayed as a Taiwan telco. It's like roaming. This doesn't affect it at all though.

      I had the same experience when overseas, I remember the OP said in a previous post that these are Taiwanese SIMs with the roaming feature enabled.

        Correct these are Chunghwa Telecom SIMs and it is roaming to the specific countries (Korea, Japan, etc)

    I used the esim recently for my Japan and Malaysia travel and it worked well except for one day the network was done which caused us plenty of issue while travelling. We contacted the customer and found out that it was a network outage. They did offer to refund but being not their fault, we decided not to claim anything and wait for the network to come back. We eventually got the network back the next morning.

    The inconvenience was impactful but their customer service was impressive. Will definitely use them again in the future!

      I believe it would be routed via Taiwan (our provider is Chunghwa Telecom) - in 99% of cases this will have minimal impact if any.

    Japan sim working ok, though its a Taiwan sim with roaming which confuses some apps as to where you are and 'local' content can be weird. PS if using the SEA sim make sure to setup whatsapp before leaving home. TBH I think I should have used roaming form AU, not being able to receive sms at all has been a big problem with accessing some things.

      The carrier has changed their roaming in EU unfortunately, the 80GB now only applies to Spain and 14GB in EU

        I was there for 5 days. 1gb/day worked well with decent speeds (able to watch YouTube), even on days I was on a drive trip. once you use up the 1gb it’s pretty much unusable haha

    Hi OP, your page indicates that Google Pixel phones are not supported for the USA T-Mobile eSIM, but T-Mobile indicates that my Pixel 6 is supported based on the phone's EID. Is there any background to this difference?

      Google pixel has a lot of issues with T-Mobile eSIM if you are purchasing the eSIM using pixel phones you are risking the esim to not work and we are not able to provide refund as we stated pixel phone to not work.

      Please purchase the physical SIM instead if you are using pixel phones.

      We're on the same situation with our Xiaomi Poco M5s's. I don't think they do (apparently only the Xiaomi 12's and 13's do). But I've found "esim cards" as an option. Does anyone know if it works?

        The 3UK SIMs does have text allowance within Europe.

        Movistar and Vodafone SIMs does not.

    Hi @TravelKon, if I buy the $30 Three Network UK&Europe card and we run out of data before the 30 days - is there a way in the 3 app to add data?

    This one looks best for me traveling to France & Spain for 45 days (I will buy two) but unsure how much data I will go through (blessed to have a corporate phone at home and never check usage).

    When it says Unlimited calls and texts in UK & Europe only does this mean we can't text and call back to Australia? Or just that the call and text has to originate from UK & Europe?

      Yes you can recharge these but we are unable to help, we suggest buying 2x SIMs instead (the cost would either be similar or cheaper).

      Correct you can only do calls and text in Europe.

    What type of mobile cellular network will the 3Uk SIM card ($24.00) be on and the Spain SIM card ($20.00)? It state that you cannot send texts (within Europe) with the Spanish sim and only for calls, is this correct?
    How would I be able to check the balance on these SIM cards?

      3UK SIMs activates upon inserting - this one has call and text within EU.

      Spain SIM activates on the date you chose at checkout - this one has NO Text allowance only local EU calls.

      Balance can be checked by downloading their apps (region changed may be required).

          They all have 5G support (might depend on the country you visit).

          All we can advised is 3UK will be on 3 Network in the UK, Whilst the Spanish SIMs will be either on Movistar or Vodafone depending which one you buy.

          Anything outside their home country (i.e. roaming) will connect automatically to the supported network (they do not published this).

      Tether yes at 3G Speeds.

      We will update to unlimited, however just note T-Mobile "may" deprioritise the speed if over 50GB of data is used - we don't normally see this happen but it could.

    2 things - this is a great company and I have always had really good service ( here and os) the sims just work. Even had an Europe one since pre covid and I just finished using it last week! I didn’t realise they now have eSIM s - so I get I’m going to have to quit Airolo now

    Second thing for the Japan travellers - I don’t know if you can pre buy your tail tickets …….I’m there before the price hike😁

    I'll be visiting the UK for two-three weeks, and will also spend a handful of days in Belgium, the Netherlands and possibly Denmark. Will mostly use data on the phone and hotspot my laptop, but will also make some old fashioned phone calls and send/receive SMS text messages. So am considering either of these two SIMs as they offer UK + Europe functionality:

      That product is a 3HK SIM Card which comes with HK Number (i.e. this is NOT a local USA SIMs).

      Reports suggests calls within USA may not work despite 3HK's advice that it does work so we have put the disclaimer.

      Downloading Rebtel App is an easy way to bypass this, as Rebtel provide unlimited USA calls (for FREE).
