OZBARGAINSPECIAL

Morning OzBargain!

I’ve been a long-time lurker of OzBargain forums and have been seeing a lot of these PC deals come around always confused as to how retailers can possibly get close to their listing price. I’ve been familiar with the PC building industry for over a decade now and it’s been a passion and hobby since I was a child. I built my first PC when I was 13 and begged my Mum to pay $1000 in PC parts from PCCaseGear with the only reaction being her startled face, how could a child possibly build a computer?

I want to introduce you guys to my new business, Nebula PC where I aim to provide the best possible value in this highly competitive billion-dollar industry where it’s so hard to differentiate value from expensive marketing. We’re a new player in the market and I’ve negotiated the utmost best I could with the buying power I have and built relationships with suppliers in Australia to provide such prices. My overhead cost is much lower than competitors' as we operate on the slimmest of margins and refuse to support profiteering or unfair markups. With this deal, I hope to provide better deals and more for the OzBargain community and more as I get a better understanding of demand.

I respect the competition in this industry, it's a race to the bottom and you either play the game or lose. We will play the game.

What makes us different?

  • Guaranteed within one business hour response times for email, phone and live chat support
  • We’re proud to offer a fair and transparent price that our competitors struggle to match
  • Each PC is quality controlled seriously before despatch, we run checks on all components multiple and stress tests including 3DMark and MemTest86 - your test results will be saved to your desktop for you to view
  • 3 years return to base warranty and lifetime support included on all purchases
  • Build your own completely custom PC in any configuration and design with us
  • Guaranteed 24-hour despatch for advertised prebuild gaming PCs and same-day order processing

For this deal, I only have limited stock as it’s a taster to get a feel for the market and for me to receive constructive feedback. If you have any suggestions on future builds or feedback on existing ones, please let us know as the only way to improve is through feedback! Valid until the end of next week!

Use code OZBARGAINSPECIAL to score yourself a sweet deal that you might have missed out on earlier!

Current despatch times: 1-3 business days (1 business day for advertised prebuilds with no customisation)

Please note if you are paying with Amex, you can use PayPal with your card linked. I had to disable Amex with my card processor for this deal otherwise I'd be making a loss. The fees are absurd.

Please let me know if you have any questions! Happy to help! We'll be working all of today, so don't be afraid to give us a call, go on our live chat or email us.

    I read $45?

They just jacked up the price to 1999 . Missed the deal of centry

  • Price in title

Sorry all, rookie mistake. Got nervous posting for the first time on OzBargain…

    Fixed.

    • +2

Should be Ryzen 5 not Ryzen 7

      • +7

        Apologies for the typo, fixed.

        Thanks all!

  • +2

Add this tag to your deal

    • +3

      Done, much thanks!

  • +20

It's always nice to see competition in this segment. I hope you don't burn yourselves out. Good luck!

    • +1

My immediate thought reading the listing was that I hope OP survives his new business enthusiasm. Promising 1 business hour replies is either expensive or exhausting - especially for a small business where most likely whoever answers messages also has a wider set of duties and is trying to get stuff done.

I mean I’ll enjoy the competition. I want a new PC somewhere in the near future and waiting for the right deal and the right lack of impulse control to meet up. More offers in the market is only good for me.

But gosh I’m glad my job doesn’t need me to be as enthusiastic and supportive as OP’s business.

    • +23

      Hey Mate,

You're free to pick it up locally in Sydney to avoid delivery. The truth is, we don't have the sheer volume in purchasing power as other competitors in the market, we have to start somewhere. Only upwards from the start to get better deals and pricing. There has to be some room for labour to put it all together.

  • In what way would you say this deal is worse than yours?

    • +29

Some of the features would be subjective and up to the customer and some not. For example:
      - Our case is dual tempered glass so it has a better showcase with 1 more RGB fan at the front for more airflow
      - 4070 Ti brand will not vary, you will only get PNY
      - 512GB M.2 SSD brand/model will not vary, you will only get the Lexar NM620 512 M.2
      - Possibly faster turnaround times and better support due to business size
      - 3600MHz RGB RAM in use instead of 32000MHz
      - X570 mobo is arguably a better choice than the B550

      Our main business values include:
      - Guaranteed within one business hour response times for email, phone and live chat support
      - We’re proud to offer a fair and transparent price that our competitors struggle to match
      - Each PC is quality controlled seriously before despatch, we run checks on all components multiple and stress tests including 3DMark and MemTest86
      - 3 years return to base warranty and lifetime support included on all purchases
      - Guaranteed 24-hour despatch for advertised prebuild gaming PCs and same-day order processing

      • +14

3 years warranty is definitely nice to see without added cost to customer. Good work!

    • +4

Very hard to fully say but this deal has slightly better ram and mobo vs tech fast deal having larger storage and better cpu.. small trade offs but the bigger storage and faster cpu will help most people especially if they are not doing much besides regular gaming and regular usage.. mobo upgrades only really benefit more enthusiast users

so the trade offs are very equal meaning the price is the final dealbreaker which tech fast wins with a near $200 lead

The case could be better overall but looks to be more subjective based on looks

yeah the ram difference will give you maybe 5% or 5 fps at best in most games

the motherboard will only benefit those doing mass storage or a lot of devices or multi card users which a user at that level should know already

fairly close overall especially in price but money talks in the end

honestly a cheap Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE would probably push this deal over the line for a win I am assuming stock cooler which I am also running now on a 5700X and on some summer days I hit the thermal limit in cod but I was trying 4k on a 3080 ti with fairly high settings so had to tone it down to stop overheating black screen crashes

      • +2

Yeah, exactly. Both builds have their pros. But this is OzB after all. $200 would definitely make a difference in people's opinions.

        • Yeah the price is where I lean at.

  • +6

Looks like a decent build. I wish you the best of luck. Ive also been building PCs since I was an early teenager and have never been able to turn it into much more than a backyard hobby and the odd PC sale on Bookface to stingy bogans who make my life difficult, so I love the ambition!

  • +2

Good luck. Not much of a discount over parts picker price though.

    • it's a prebuild… you want the parts to build it yourself? do that then

      • +1

Just comparing to other prebuilds mate. They are generally hundreds cheaper than parts picker.

    • +5

But $84 is a saving from its original price ?

      Weird logic

      • -2

What else could it be from?

  • +22

Well, I have to say OzBargain is definitely a tough crowd to please.

All feedback is good feedback. The price is now $1949 + delivery with the code.

    • +25

It's a problem you're going to face anywhere you're trying to sell on price - such customers (us) are the worst.

The customers you want to target won't even know that Ozbargain exists. If you're only competing on price I'd be surprised if you lasted even a few months.

      • +3

Yep I'd do the same as OP, try to offer a really low price to careful (and stingey) customers like myself.

But OP, don't let that stop you from catering to the high end crowd too, where profit margin on each PC can be bigger.

Maybe design a "fastest gaming PC available" for 4 grand or something and show impressive game benchmark videos on YouTube etc.

With your ambitious support and warranty you could cater to the rich kids as well, and make enough profit to continue these more low-price-high-volume offers for the value conscious too.

    • +2

Oz bargain is for bargains not reasonably priced. Once you get a steady flow of things you might need to buy in bulk and do a really good deal to sell them easily and repeat.

    • +2

You're justifying your price and profits to people who have no interest in buying it. Don't let it get to you.

    • +4

you have people replying that are complaining your prebuilt is not cheaper than the individual price of the parts lmao. don't read too much into it, your setup looks great

  • +26

To those saying "only saving $40.86"/not a deal, relax people.
First it's awesome to see more competition, and this deal has plenty of value.

    • Guaranteed within one business hour response times for email, phone and live chat support
    • We’re proud to offer a fair and transparent price that our competitors struggle to match
    • Each PC is quality controlled seriously before despatch, we run checks on all components multiple and stress tests including 3DMark and MemTest86
    • 3 years return to base warranty and lifetime support included on all purchases
    • Build your own completely custom PC in any configuration and design with us
    • Guaranteed 24-hour despatch for advertised prebuild gaming PCs and same-day order processing

Oof, hope you guys can pull it off, all the best on your new endeavour!

  • +7

Such a harsh group! If you can pull off the 24 hour turn around and warranty this deal is definitely worth it.

I would say some people here are happy to build it themselves - which I presume is the minority considering how well pre built systems actually sell on here.

This is excellent! Competitors to EnigmaPC!

    • +2

Appreciate the kind words. We try to differentiate ourselves without lacking core business qualities being customer service and turnaround time.

    • -7

Id build myself but you can't buy it as cheap as some of these pre built systems. You just can't customise it like your own built one.

Would you just sell it unbuilt and still in its box?
      For a better price?

      • +4

He is already building it for "free" comparative to the cheapest you can get on PcPartPicker…. and now you want even more of a discount?
The company still has to offer warranty and service needs, i.e. go down and post it.

      • +2

If you want to pick up unbuilt and still in the box for a slightly better price then of course. If I ship all the items individually in the box it will cost an arm and a leg to ship compared to a whole PC and just need to ship the case in a box.

We're open for you to customise anything you'd like and build it as if it's your own. Shoot us a message on our live chat and we'll work something out for sure!

  • I like the website, choosing upgrades is nice and simply laid out.

I'm sure you're already planning to but some extra details in the "More info" links would be good for people who aren't familiar with PC components. Not only have basic information but also how it would compare to the base parts?

    • Great idea. Initially, I wanted to put a small description of each part and what they do for people who aren't familiar. It ended up looking too clunky and cluttered for the builder so I decided to not do it.

I could use the "more info" part to do this instead. Thanks for your feedback!

      • +1

Doesn't have to be too in depth otherwise as you mentioned it'd look cluttered. Perhaps some basic benchmarking results so people can compare between the parts? Just state what all components in the test bed were for transparency.

  • Hey OP, in the market for a similar specced PC with 7000 series around $2.5K
    Any options?

    • Hey Mate,

Can definitely do this for you, check your DMs.

Edit: Actually, can't DM you because this store account is too new. Come over on our live chat and let us know what you're after.

  • Good luck with your new venture! I hope it goes well for you.

    • Not sure if you're trolling, a week ago our website had a password on it.

If you have a serious question you can send an email to us and we will respond right away - [email protected]

      • +2

My bad, you are correct. I got your website mixed up with Enigma PC, it is very very similar.

        • No problem, thanks for the clarification.

  • Hey. How do you ship the 4xxx? Do you ship them separately or are you confident it's not going to move inside the case when shipped?

    • +1

We use sealed air instapak for each PC, this way nothing will be able to move inside the case. Have a look at this demonstration - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=06GJzufsnoM

In the unlikely event, there is shipping damage, we'll make sure to take care of you and provide a remedy.

  • Where in Sydney can I pick up after ordering?

    • Potts Point 2011.

  • +1

    Hey mate welcome onboard.
Always nice to have a new competitor
Always be transparent and have open communication to your customers while offering a decent deal and you have a successful business.
I just built my PC not long ago but will consider you to friends and family :)

    • +2

Competition is always good, and I believe strongly in that.

Our promise is to always be transparent and have open communication with our customers.

Let us know if we can do anything for you, even if you need parts I might be able to do something better than retail!

  • I'm not buying my new pc yet but will keep you guys in mind. Wish you the best

    • Appreciate the kind words Raj! Cheers!

Let us know if we can do anything for you, even if you need parts I might be able to do something better than retail!

      • Thank you. 😊👍🏾

  • Hey mate does the coupon work for customized builds? i changed the HDD and Cooler but it does not seem to apply anymore

    • Fixed that, it had a price cap filter. It will work for any customisation you'd like. Please try now

      Sorry about that.

  • Also not interested at the moment, but will keep an eye on future posts!

    • Thanks for the support!

  • I'm not in a rush to buy, but if something pops up, i'll likely consider.
I just emailed these guys via their website to make some enquires and got a respond almost instantly - also recognised i was from Ozbargain :)
Keep it up, i'm sure you guys will do well.
Living in Sydney i'm happy @Nebula PC and @enigmapc are around. I would prefer to pick up my build than have it delivered.
    @techfast - been quiet lately.

    • Thanks mate :)

Looking forward to working with you and building your PC.

  • +2

Congratulations on your new venture and best of luck!

    • +1

Most people on OzBargain are so kind!

I'll make sure to take care of the OzBargain community with deals, you have all saved me lots of money and time :).

  • Hey what's the code do? I put it on a 4k system??

    • Hey mate, if you're upgrading to a 4k system we can work out a better discount for you. Could you send us a message on our live chat?

This code would work best for $250 off the base builds with small upgrades.

Welcome to the ozb party Nebula where everyone is a PC building expert but would prefer others to build it for them for free and include a warranty. Good Luck

  • Its good to have some competition in custom pc build providers, i hope you guys have a good steady growth and you get plenty of sales from ozb

  • +1

I'm after a 4070 or 4070ti build without too much skimping on parts. Love all the upgrade options/customisation and transparency on Brands.

If I were to do the following upgrades:
    - AMD RYZEN 7 5700X | 8 CORES | 3.4 GHZ (MAX 4.6 GHZ)
    - GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO V2
    - CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX 32GB (2X16GB) 3200MHZ
    - 1TB SAMSUNG 990 PRO GEN4 M.2 (R: 7450MBS | W: 6900MB/S)
    - CPU COOLING SYSTEM: DeepCool AG500 Air Cooler ARGB (59)
    - THERMAL COMPOUND: Arctic MX6 (15)

    You're looking at around $2,465.26

I was looking at the TechFast deal https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/761478 but that has very little upgrade options.
BPC next (expired deal but they currently offer 10% off their gaming PCs at checkout) https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/768590
I understand that they've got delays, but I'll save in pick-up and so long as I receive it before Diablo 4 releases I'll be happy.

I too did some upgrade options and got something like this:

    https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/fvbRDq
(how'd you guys get it into a nice little table?)

    • Intel Core i5-13400F 2.5 GHz 10-Core Processor
    • Asus TUF GAMING B660-PLUS WIFI D4 ATX LGA1700 Motherboard
    • Corsair Vengeance LPX 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
    • ADATA XPG GAMMIX S70 Blade 1 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive
    • Gigabyte WINDFORCE OC GeForce RTX 4070 12 GB Video Card
    • darkFlash DK352 ATX Mid Tower Case
    • EVGA 700 GQ 700 W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-modular ATX Power Supply

Total = $1944 PCPP, $2035 on their site ($1831.50 after discount)

Sorry to hijack, but would this be the better build for me?

    • Hey Mate, it's all good!

We're happy to help and cater for the options that you're after. We will definitely take care of you.

Do you mind sending us a message on our live chat and go from there? We can discuss this in much more detail there.

Also would like to note on your builder it's a 4070, not a Ti. There's a big difference in price point there.

      • Yep I was aware, in terms of value I think the 4070 edges just ahead with the price/performance ratio. I might hold off, see how things develop but pricing is definitely a factor. I'm not sure I want to be the first to take the plunge either :)

        • To answer your question earlier, yes this build is better in terms of GPU performance but isn't as strong with the CPU.

You'd get more performance per dollar with this deal in my opinion at $1949.

          • @Nebula PC: I referred my workmate to you guys, coincidentally his PC died over the weekend and was desperate! He didn't even ask for an ozbargain discount! Hope you guys got busy over the break :)

            • @mustaful: Appreciate that mustaful!

Let him know to send us a message and we'll sort him out with an OzBargain discount no stress! :)

Thanks for all the support, really brings a smile to my face.

              • @Nebula PC: He got a Frenzy Plus so don't worry about it, wasn't part of the deal!

                • +1

                  @mustaful: Ah gotcha, no worries.

Could you PM me his name and I'll make sure to send him a discount code for a future purchase on any build? I really appreciate the referral business and want to take care of you and your referral, it means a lot to us!

  • Welcome to the game

  • +2

Just dropped in to say OP is a legend, understanding of my needs, honest and friendly even before I’ve purchased anything. Best customer service so far out of the big players on OzBargain. Have to see how they hold up when the inevitable happens and they get bombarded with orders. Very good impressions OP! Good luck!

    • +2

Appreciate the feedback. We care about our customers and really do want to work with their needs.

  • +1

Good luck with the business Nebula! Looks like a great deal to me, and I respect the hustle. Looking forward to seeing more posts from you!

  • good on you op good luck with your business

  • price is good, but outdated platform, end of life, no more future upgrade options, better pay extra to get 7800X3D with B650 platform.

    • Sadly not many discounts or value with those new products :(. I really wish I could but the price won't be justified.

  • Not in the market to buy right now, but it's fantastic to see new competitors in the space. Good for when I do actually want to buy. Hope it goes well for y'all nebula pc

  • Other payment options? Afterpay / Zip Pay would be nice.

    • +2

Will definitely include that in future, but not yet as we've just launched testing the market. Will have to look into the fees as our margins are so slim that I'm not sure if we can offer it.

      Thanks for your feedback!

      • Thanks for considering.

  • Good to see another competitor, more choices are good.

What’s your workshop/office address in Sydney? You mentioned you offer pickup.

The shopify template you used for your website made me take a second look I didn’t accidentally go to Enigma PC haha. I’m assuming no relation to that company?

They also originally offered 3 years back to base warranty as standard but they had factored in the business cost of that into their very first deal on Ozbargain which resulted in a mark up which made it uncompetitive vs other competitors deals. They later made it an optional extra to lower their prices to us customers.

So you being able to offer that 3 year warranty without a significant markup is a really good thing at face value.

I don’t know how you can do it and keep it sustainable but I’m glad you are.

    • Competition is always good!

It's a home office in Sydney so we can have a lower overhead cost.

Coincidently the Shopify template is actually the default one for all stores, can only customise it so much. They restrict how much you can customise on purpose so you buy their themes and addons. No relation to Enigma PC, we're pure competitors.

Yes, we are able to promise a 3-year warranty as we have genuine confidence in our choice of products. There's an option to extend to 4 years as well. I've had lots of experience with these brands and parts personally to confidently advertise this as a selling point with full transparency.

After all fees and costs for the business, these deals on OzBargain are not really sustainable but it gets our name out there and generates interest on custom builds etc where we are able to make a bit more margin. We'll be able to post more deals with the volume we get, it's a true volume game.

      • Thanks, those are great answers.

I’m still a ways away from saving enough money but will put you down as an option, alongside Enigma and building it myself. Will decide later on, I’m sure there’ll be great deals down the line.

        • Sounds great!

I’d recommend looking into our Frenzy product line where it starts at just $999. Super good value and should treat your budget well. I’ll work out a sweet deal for you depending on what changes/upgrades you’d like.

  • Hey mate, not buying a PC but i know a few friends who are, so i'll send this to them.

I was reading your responses and really like your business model and approach. I hope you do well and don't be put off - OzBargain is a tough crowd!

    • Awesome stuff! Let us know if we can do anything for you :).

I've got pretty tough skin mate, OzBargin is an interesting crowd but nothing I can't handle. I know what they want, and we will cater.

      • Hehe good attitude there, but careful, I've seen this mob obliterate seasoned hard men time and time again!

Even Chuck Norris would cower into the shadows with his tail tucked between his legs if he saw these guys coming.

        • OzBargain is definitely a tough crowd to please.

It hasn't been 24 hours yet but we've got a great feel for the market now and know what to do to improve and provide better deals in future. It has been a great learning curve, something money can't buy for sure.

    Hey

Looking at a Ryzen 7600 or X build with a AMD GPU (likie a 7900XT or even lower as I'm trying really hard not to support nvidia). Any luck?

    Happy to be Pmed.

    Cheers

    • Hi Maulmonk,

Haha I know a lot of people are on that boat as well.

We usually stock Nvidia GPUs only for now but I'm happy to order in an AMD GPU and create a custom build for you and of course with an OzBargain special.

I can't PM you with store accounts on OzBargain, could you shoot us a message on our live chat or email us?

      Happy to help! :)
