    FYI no Aux. BT only.

      Well that's stupid.

Does this one do facial tracking and spying like their cameras? Anker is dead to me.

      • +3

        How is it stupid?.

It's an outdoor portable speaker which is why it's got a handle. You don't want to be having a 3.5mm audio cable plugged into it while talking around with it.

It's much more convenient streaming audio to it through BT from say your smartphone while walking around the streets showing off your cool new portable speaker. No cables to get in the way or become tangled.

Also how would a speaker do facial tracking. It's only a speaker.

      • Wear your foil hat, that will stop the tracking.

        • Is that argument or an insult to make yourself feel good in your group of group thinkers?

          • @Notacommie: If you were in a group of thinkers you would know the answer.

      • WHATS YOUR NAME?

        (profanity) you Ezekiel!

        :)

        • tbf he's not wrong but its a long stretch

          Brands
          Anker
          Soundcore
          Eufy
          Nebula
          Roav
          Zolo (defunct)
          Bolder
          KARAPAX (defunct)

anker is eufy however i would agree that the limits that a BT speaker has would make it ineffective as a CCP spy tool but hey… you know them cookers out there

          • +3

@tonyjzx: This is OzBargain. If the CCP spying device is at the right price, we buy!!!

  • I was going to say how does this compare to the JBL Partybox 310 because I missed the sale they had Dec https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/767704
But that thing weighs 17kilos vs this 1.5k = 10x difference so I'm guessing chalk and cheese

I didn't put a marketing blurb in the description but Alan Ross calls is his "pound for pound world champ". I recently bought one, considering the price it's a powerful speaker with plenty of battery capacity.

  • Can you use this connected to a power point and can you buy a replacement battery after a couple of years as I assume the included one doesn’t last forever?

    • +1

USB charging only. Not sure about third party batteries but you might be able to make your own replacement battery from 18650s.
